My elf. Though, he could certainly be respected by humans and the like, so I think it works.

I meant a noble among an elite group of Orcs who have built their own civilization.

Posting my backstory, since I'm apparently using the criminal background. Wood Elf Rogue ftw.
Arrano lived a quiet life at first, working as a fisherman alongside his sage wife. He didn't care much for his job, or his wife's, and mostly went through the motions out of a sense of responsibility. He hardly cared about losing his job when the lake dried up, but still felt obligated to provide for his wife. So he joined with some small-time thieves nearby, smuggling whatever needed to be smuggled. Allured by the dangers he faced, he killed his wife to cut ties, and left for a bigger city, nearly dying on the way. After joining with a thieve's guild there, he found that even these new, constant risks could not sate him, and moved onto another city. The cycle is still repeating, the sorrow caused by the dissatisfaction taking its toll on him. He seeks pleasure wherever he can find it, but hopes that death will prove worthy enough to take him soon, before his fun completely fades away.
His bond will probably be the father-in-law and brother-in-law hunting him down. They're among the few he thinks would be worthy of killing him.

His ideal seems to be having fun in the face of danger, his flaw seems to be his insatiability, and his personality traits should be listed in the full character sheet.
Just make sure to isolate each of them when needed.
Oh, at this point, he'd be at least 120 years old. Elf childhood is about 80 years, and they tend to marry for life, but since he doesn't have any children, I assume that he killed her within the first 10 or so years of marriage.

Oh, I figured he'd be late into his second century. That works too though, doesn't change what I had going.

So my character... Background will be Knight, Lawful Neutral aligned Paladin (Oath of Vengeance.) Building on that...
I want the Lawful alignment to show a personal code of conduct which doesn't fully coincide with society's laws, but still prevents him from any such thing as theft or higher degree dishonesty ("white lies," though...) So his history and traits ought to reflect those things.
A lot of this depends on whether he grew up in a human or orc kingdom. Also, what exactly the Oath of Vengeance works from a character standpoint. I'll have to think on what I want my character to do in the context of playing, since Inspiration is a big factor.

Very loose now since I don't know the lore details or if it would work, but anyways,
Human. 30. Originally an upper-class scholar of magic, he held the ways of the church in great disdain. When his family was attacked and killed by a bandit cell for their wealth, he lost everything. He desperately sought revenge for years, but could never find his assailants. The mystery taunted and eluded him, driving him to near madness. Having spent all of his resources, he was left destitute, and had no choice but to turn to the church for salvation. The church took him in, and over the years they healed him body, mind, and spirit. He approached the faith by studying it, transferring his experience in academia from magic to that of his deity. He eventually developed an understanding of his deity unlike any other in his church, and ascended to becoming a cleric.
But when evidence of the attack on his estate resurfaced, he couldn't resist digging deeper. Leaving the church, he investigates once more, always telling himself that this isn't for vengeance, it's for enlightenment.

Now I'm wondering about what sex and gender everyone's going with. And how our starting gold is decided. 4d4 X 10gp... I dunno how you want to figure this out.

We're not using starting gold.
We're using the packages from your class and background.
Say, a Warlock gets a Light Crossbow with 20 bolts or a simple weapon, two daggers, a simple weapon, leather armor, a dungeoneer's pack or a scholar's pack, and an arcane focus or component pouch along with whatever his background gives him.
So, I assume that you are using either Sage or Priest/Whatever for your background, correct?

...I'll figure out the categories later. That's the story I want my character to have, all I know right now.

Okay.
The background is just for skills and starting gear along with a special ability.

I'm thinking of going with this for my character's back story, tell me if it won't work.
Born of an uncanny affair between the patriarch of the human clan Belgunot and an unknown Orcish mistress, Nergui was raised within the confines of human society until a time at which she could be sent to the clergy's care. Finding her behaviour too unruly to reside amongst the nuns, Nergui's father and stepmother searched tirelessly for a place their daughter could live away from those who would scorn her. That place, as fate would have it, found them when one day a knight resting in their estate took a liking to Nergui and brought her in as a squire. She exceled in her training, learning discipline far sooner than any would expect of one with orcish blood and upon reaching adulthood struck out as a knight on her own. Although the nobility of her community gradually came to accept her truly benign nature as fact, Nergui still often suffers from discrimination and vows to end prejudice if not by rational argumentation then by righteous punishment.
Bonds: yuri pimpLoved by Women - Nergui is seldom seen consorting with men and is much loved by the women she makes company with.
Ideals: Defender of the Downtrodden - Nergui has sworn to stand up for all those who suffer from unjust scorn, even if they would spurn her aid themselves.
Flaws: Deeply Conflicted - Although guided by a code of civil conduct, Nergui is restless and brash by nature and often struggles to keep her impulses controlled.

So I need to develop a sworn enemy for you once you near 3rd level.
What are her 2 personality traits? Also what is her alignment?

Depends. I'm not sure what gods we want to use.
Why not Crystal Dragon Jesus?

Personality traits have no real influence on gameplay outside of fleshing out a character and inspiration like Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws. Just two quick summaries showing how she acts.
Would you like to swap out your Retainers feature for a Summoned Warhorse like a Paladin Mount?
