Repost, so no one misses the terrible secret of the Whales. But why male models? Male models are actually tormented male divers who made the horrible mistake of trying to swim alongside the Blue Gods. Their souls and minds were corrupted and perverted, as they were unable to resist the pull of the nameless evil that lurks below. The Blue Gods wanted to save them, but if they had, they would have been forced to suspend the Spell for but a moment, which would have been enough to allow the nameless evil that lurks below to rise to the surface. Well? Is your mind blown yet?

My first girlfriend was a Princess of Wales. No lie. It's why I love redheads to this very day. Gods, I miss her... You should have never let go. Your son could have been the next Pendragon... It wasn't by choice. If I could have, I would have kept her. But we were young, and my family moved. I always meant to call her... But before I knew it, the years flew by, and we both grew up. As far as I know, she already has her own family now. It's one of my biggest regrets in life.

That's just what the cat parasites want us to think. Next. The cat parasites are actually a special, bioengineered version of Krill, the food source of the Blue Gods. However, the unnamed evil that lurks in the deep used its unholy powers to change a small batch of Krill into something different. Something else. The cat parasites want you to think that the cat parasites want you to think that. Well? Is your mind blown yet? Did you know there's a parasite called Toxoplasma Gondii that can feed off all warm blooded creatures? It can only sexually reproduce within the intestines of cats, making cats their primary target. Another interesting thing. When a rat is infected with Toxoplasma Gondii, the parasite secretes chemicals that alter the rat's brain. It makes the rat want to relocate more often and decreases its anxiety. It scares less easily. It literally makes the rat brave. It also gives the rat an attraction to the scent of cat urine, which normally repels rats. So naturally an infected rat would travel long distances to areas frequented by cats, and make them brave in the face of oncoming feline fury, which would result in the rat getting hunted and eaten, which delivers the parasite into the intestines of a cat. By the way, humans can also be infected by this parasite. In fact, around a third of the human population is infected. But it's completely benign and doesn't affect healthy humans at all. So now that I don't have to worry about it, I'm gonna go watch some more cute cat videos. This is all 100% legit. Look it up. Mind blown yet?

The closest cats near me are these pack of strays residing around my neighborhood, so indifference here.
Also, they manage to stay surprising clean all things considered, so for all I know my neighborhood just has a Crazy Cat Lady that I never noticed.

I'm suddenly thinking about finding my cat and petting it for extended periods of time. You lose, HHD. Good. Gooooooooooood. So historically the parasite was first discovered when it was found to be the cause of an infant's death. What did the researchers do as soon as they found some of it? They put it in a rat. In fact, that's what all science does to test new things now. Put it in a rat. Oh and here's something neat. Apparently the genetics of TP show very little diversity through all of North America and Europe. So it's all essentially still the same strand of parasite, and this genetic strand has been back-extrapolated to originate from a parasitic ancestor that existed around 10,000 years ago. The first ever known case of a human-cat relationship was from 9,500 years ago. Go figure.

How'd it kill an infant?

Wikipedia:
The first conclusive identification of T. gondii in humans was in an infant girl delivered full term by Caesarean section. [...] The girl began having seizures at three days of age, and doctors identified lesions in the maculae of both of her eyes. When she died at one month of age, an autopsy was performed. Lesions discovered in her brain and eye tissue were found to have both free and intracellular T. gondii'.
Not exactly evidence of causation, but it's pretty relevant. Earlier I said doesn't affect healthy humans. It can kill someone with AIDS for instance.
