I....actually don't know. Like you, I'm pretty skeptical of it. Though, most blood is mixed these days, despite people screaming they don't have such a thing and it is "pure." I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Strange things happen in the past.

I know, right? The vast majority of Americans have so many ancestors of so many different ethnicities, yet so many don't like that, and deny it. I just think it adds a lot of interesting backgrounds and a rich heritage.
Anyway, I was asking because that's where my dad's side of the family is from, and with both of our families claiming to be descended from Henry Ford and the Cherokee, and you live in Tennessee, I was curious about if there might be some sort of connection there. Stranger things have happened, after all.

Given how genetics work, nobody is "pure" blooded. Some are just less mixed than others. Even if you're an African tribesman who's been seperate from any other culture for centuries, you're still a far cry from the earliest humans. Even if your family is inbred German royalty, you'll at least have Indo-Iranian blood going far back enough. And probably more Latin, Celtic, Greek and Slavic influence than you'd ever know.

Stranger things have happened, after all. I... Only share Henry Ford's last name, which is complete weird. My grandfather on my fathers side was adopted by them, so a blood connection isn't there. But we are relate by the papers. It's more of an inside joke for people at school. "Hey, you gonna make a better assembly line, When will you come out with the next Ford?, etc." Im highly on the fence for the Cherokee thing, and not really believing it. At all. It seems impossible, but plausible. I doub my ancestors were of great renown. Admittedly, I've always wanted some French blood in myself, but I doubt it would ever be so

Oh yeah? Well I sleep next to a honey pot and a cheesecake. I'd sleep next to meat, but I can't control myself around barbecue or pumpkin pie.

My diet prohibits any foods that didn't suffer enough before reaching my plate. It's kind of like being vegan, only the polar opposite.

Thought I'd let you know. And I'm cool with country. It's not one of the things I listen to often though. Isn't Mumford and Sons country, or are they more folk rock? Theory of a Deadman does an excellent mix of stuff, going between metal and country.

I keep Pie and Green Tea next to my bed. Usually either Apple or Coconut.
Oh, King, the Army pays crap. You don't get a decent paycheck until you're an officer on Active Duty. But an O3 can make 30,000-50,000+ per deployment, and I've had a couple deployments.

Theory of a Deadman is awesome. It was just playing lowlife on my iTunes.

I would consider Mumford somewhere between Folk and Country mixed with Rock. That and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings are the two most "Country-esque" groups I listen to. I honestly don't know how I would distinguish Folk and Country music, except that Country comes from North America and tends to use more modern instruments more frequently.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I get that from a lot of guys jokingly, but no one the opposite gender...Where did I go wrong?
