I looked up while driving. A crow and a plane we're imposed over each other and at suchan angle that I freaked out for a secondtrying to figure out wtf that crazy flying monstrosity was,
Hey, Neo/Fen. Isn't tango military jargon for something?

Tango just means T.

In Nato phonetic speech, yes. But I feel like I've also heard it used as shorthand for something.

I always thought it meant "target".

There is no one general "shorthand". The phonetic alphabet is military-wide, but anything other than that, like radio call signs, shorthand command phrases, etc, all vary. Usually language is established at the Company level, except when you're in Theater, then it's usually established at the Brigade level.
For example, Tango can mean Target in one unit. When talking over the radio, you would say something like "Delta 3 to Alpha 1, I have confirmed sights on Tango. Over." Or it can mean Chopper in another unit. "Delta 3 to Alpha 1, Tango is inbound. Over."
The point of it is that it can be easily understood by our side, but to anyone listening in who doesn't know which words we use for what, it could mean anything.
The phonetic alphabet in general, though, is only really used on radio and only on missions or training exercises. We don't use it much at home base. At least in the Army we don't.

I'm halfway through Crash 2 now and I think Crash 1 is way better. Fewer gimmick levels, less running towards the screen, no wonky ice physics, etc. It was harder, but definitely felt more fair.

I put my defense team as my 5*+7 Lukas solo.
I am actually getting defense wins now. since he's only ever paired up with other single units, and he's impossible to kill if that unit doesn't do magic damage.

If they went into single-unit Arena with a physical attacker, and they saw Lukas (infamous for being a titanium wall), why wouldn't they just click the Surrender button?

They probably do.

I meant the Surrender button when you're selecting your Arena difficulty. They're clearly not using it if Arena Defenses are being awarded.

Yet somehow I'm still getting wins.

At last. Playing as Rome won the Grand Campaign in Rome II via military victory. Got about four achievements, plus two from a naval battle that moved to land. Seeing the Roma Invicta achievement pop up on the screen was nice.
Moving on to TW Attila, but no doubt will return to play Imperator Augustus, Empire Divided, Caesar in Gaul, and Hannibal at the Gates campaigns. For the former not sure if Mark Antony or Octavian would be better to start as. Maybe Lepidus to play as the underdog of the Second Triumvirate.
