Empire, you need to learn about how to make spoiler tags on the Verse.

Just remove the spaces, of course.
Also, you can keep adding spoiler tags that hide behind other spoiler tags, just add another [ spoiler ] before adding the [ /spoiler ] at the end.

I have to let you know that I am the most senior non-staff member of this board that is still active, have the most posts, and am the only one that might be able to stand up to Neo in a fight. Who should that title belong to? Nah, Smexy can stand up to me. And so can Cheese. Although honestly, I think the only person I've ever lost an argument to online is... Dragunov, I think. Or was it Westbrook? It happened a while ago.  |

So who is this infamous Digi everyone is talking about? A GameFAQs user who has been part of Nova since the beginning, and made a few people mad at various times. Still, forgive and forget, you know?
As a matter of fact, the only one of the current members of Nova that isn't an original member is SMEX.
Also, Nova is almost a year old now. That's crazy. Who ever thought we would last this long?

So is there anyone on this board who's similar to Digi?? Well, yes and no. A few people have similar writing styles, but no one has ever made me really angry because of what they wrote. But Digi has learned a lot since then, so don't let the past cloud your judgment. |

I wouldn't liken Digi to Emperor_King (just to ensure EOF doesn't misread this) at all, actually. Sure, they both have this... "shounen hero" vibe to them, for lack of a better descriptor, in that they tend to blow through criticism with an unfaltering can-do attitude (which I kind of respect, I always took it too personally when I was their age) but Digi is fairly humble and quick to take to a joke (like fanfics...,) whereas Emperor is slightly more serious and a bit less hyper seeming. Although that's just my analysis. |

I said the only way in which I would compare you to the user we were talking about was in how you handle criticism, which I actually admire. ; ) When I was still in school I took everything way too personally and basically shut down at criticism. You seem really good at taking it in stride and vowing to overcome, which is a great way to be. I guess I did imply that you're not humble, but really who cares? : P Humbleness is overrated. |

A bit more serious? I'll have you know that I am like iron man when it comes to seriousness. Hyper? Well in my younger days. Now... I'm just a tad more less hyper.
In all seriousness, I push like half my emotions back so I hardly take things as an insult, or maybe I've learned the art of indifference and to brush off a lot of things.
Not sure about the shonen hero attitude... I've always had a determinator and stubborn personality when it came to things.

I am an adult and I still have a tough time taking criticism. My problem is I take criticism way to personal. I feel that criticism is an attack on me as a person. It doesn't matter if its family, boss, manager, etc. It could be something small and I still get defensive. Its not as bad as when I was younger but it criticism still stings me a little before I get the message.
Glad to know I am not alone.

There's a time to be emotional, generally when it means connecting to others and not distancing yourself from them. I, for one, struggle to find the happy middle. But there's also something to be said for stoicism. Especially when it comes to looking at yourself and the world around you. Again, something I have trouble with myself. And yeah, that's more or less what I was trying to convey with "shounen hero." We really need an actual word for that. |
