Attempt Succeeded.
You pump your fist into the air as you hear the lock click. Thankfully, the room is empty, save for a few beds, but now's not the time to sleep. You'd probably have your throat slit if you took a nap anyways.

As you start to head towards the next set of stairs, you hear a rush of footsteps and some muddled shouting slowly making their way towards you from beneath. It's probably Reavers, and way too many for you to handle. Running's definitely not an option, so your only choice is to hide. The only question is where.
Where do you hide?
A: Beneath one of the beds B: Behind a large shelf in one of the small rooms C: Pretend to be a dead body

I'll just assume squadron leader for now and not commander.
"Quaestor Milara," you hear a deep, commanding voice speak from the top of the staircase leading to the room as you scramble behind a set of shelves located in the corner of one of the smaller rooms. "Take your men and search the area. Could be Reavers anywhere, and I doubt we're alone, from that body downstairs. Be vigilant, and make sure to check every spot. I'll be taking the rest of the men upstairs."
"As you wish, Praefect." A sharp voice, clearly a woman, answered.
You hear the overturning of tables and men scuffling about for about five minutes before you hear deep breathing nearby. You close your eyes as you prepare for the shelves to be moved, only for the breathing to disappear and the woman from before speaking.
"Good work, now let's rejoin Praefect Raenus." She spoke with a steeled voice. "You, Auxiliary, stay here and alert us of any escaping or approaching Reavers. Stop them if you can."
"Yes ma'am!" You hear a man shout before the slow rumble of footsteps seems to ascend and eventually disappear.
You steadily push the shelves forward without a sound as the Auxiliary, a relatively slim soldier, is watching guard away from you. There also appears to be a ladder leading upwards across the room. The guard seems reasonable enough, so talking might e good.
What do you do?
A: Try to sneak past the guard and to the ladder. B: Sneak up on the guard and knock him out. C: Attack guard. D: Reveal your presence by speaking and tell him that you're not a Reaver.

D... I have a feeling it won't work, but I doubt Golurk would give us a death flag so early. And this might be our ticket away from crazy Neloth...

Well, in most cases. I'll be killing Caineghus a lot, but not too much, since dying has an incredibly inconvenient price.

Just so you know, the easier options have harsher penalties.

"Excuse me." You say as you put your hands up and walk into the main room while the guard quickly draws his sword and readies for engagement. "Woah, slow down. I'm not a Reaver. You know, the body downstairs, that was from me. I mean no harm, and I ask that you won't kill me. I haven't committed any crime I have not paid for, and I am only her on an errand by my employer. He wanted me to fetch a certain item for him. I don't like Reavers either, and I don't want to get on the Legion's bad side, so I'll help you out since I need that item anyways."
"Fine." The soldier replies as he lowered his weapon.
"Wait, what?" You answer in a confused daze. "You're not going to question me or anything?"
"No..." He squints as he speaks. "Should I?"
"No, I was just ready for a full body search including cavity sear-"
"O-Kay, that's enough." The soldier interrupts you and pushes you towards the staircase before you walk with him to the next floor.
---
"So why didn't you question me?" You ask as you trudge forwards.
"Simple:" he responds as he pulls ahead of you. "You're not a Dunmer, so you obviously aren't a Reaver."
"Oh, good point." You chuckle as you reach the top step and freeze as you see a very large group of Imperial soldiers staring directly at you. "Hello."
"He's with me." The Auxiliary speaks to the group before one of the presumably higher ranking officers ordered two men to search him.
"Look for any weapons, and watch for skooma." A Quaestor orders.
"Hey, that's racist!" You call him out before the soldiers take your weapons.
"What's he doing here?" The man asks as he stares at the soldier who was with you.
"He says he's fetching an item for his master." The soldier answers, as a random Reaver charges up the steps to the room before stopping once he saw the soldiers.
You have a window of opportunity. What do you do?
A: Punch the Reaver down the steps. B: Sweep the Reaver so he falls onto the floor. C: Do nothing.
