I should bookmark this. Gonna read the others for now. Urgh, should really bring BL IV, so someone can participate in a part six.

Just a quick question. My story, as well as quite a few other gems, are only on Gfaqs. Would we just tell them we had a question to be answered over here, or would we just be exempt from using this topic? I understand if it's the latter, but this would be helpful to have access to.

No, you can still use the topic. Your CYOAs will not be included in polls however, unless you bring them over here.

You mean like actually transfer, or write a summary? If it's the latter I can, however if it's the former I'm afraid I shall be exempt all together. While I do enjoy this site, part 1 is almost finished, and i'd hate to deprive the people that vote on BL, part 2 of the story. I will try to vote in this when I can, but can't really promise

You misunderstand, Emperor. This is a topic solely for questions and discussions, among other things, regrading CYOAs. Think of it like a social hub for authors and readers to mingle. Every now and again, I will host polls to determine the best main character of a CYOA, the best love interest, the greatest swordsman/swordswoman, Best Mage, etc. However, because your CYOAs are over on GF, they are not included in polls.

Yes, I understand what you meant the first time. I have skimmed over the q and a from gamefaqs, but you mean polls? Even if it was allowed, Serlen is pretty much exempt from half of them except the main character poll. Though.... He is very close to being hitched. (A support with Verdani AND Antigone.) anyway, I'll do my best to participate in the discussions.

I could participate in this, but TO:EB doesn't have a protaganist yet, and I haven't even started the prologue. Although, I may be able to prep it in time for this, but I highly doubt I'll have time. Still, my fourth motto: Never hurts to try, Is in effect.

That works out fine for me, all I need is the Q and A. I don't consider my story as good as the likes of UB or the Seasons of Sorrow, among many other great ones. These kinds of polls are just... difficult on Gfaqs (as you have already experienced), so thanks for offering up the space over here.
My first question is kinda just one for anyone. What is your average allotted time for votes? I'm kinda slow, updating at the most twice a day, and sometimes none at all.

For me, the time allotted depends on the kind on vote, how important story wise the choice is, how many people have voted, and which direction the vote is leaning towards. For example, if the current vote is heading towards a catastrophe and I feel something might change in a couple hours(like people getting off school or work) then I will generally leave the poll open longer. There is no set time. However, I usually like to give it at least an hour.
Mind you, this is for my CYOA. Here, for the Golden Globes, the time will always be one day, exactly 24 hours from when I posted the poll.

I've been trying to keep a strict 48 hour schedule for my CYOA that seems to be a nice fit for everyone to vote me to do my calculations and of corse writing the scene, but thats just me.

So, I've decided to wait until OoD gets a little further along before I boot up the Best MC poll. On a completely different note, any of you guys watching the World Cup game? Craziest game in the history of the sport. Nothing like it has ever happened before. Ever.

Wow... Just wow. I don't have the words. I, the brilliant Neo, am at a total loss for words. A score like that hasn't happened in a Futbol(Soccer) game in nearly a century. A century.

It'll happen again. It always does.

It'll happen again. It always does. No, not really. Some things just don't happen. You have to follow Soccer, to truly know the sport, to know just how big of a deal this really is. I'll spoiler tag this in case some people haven't seen the game, and want to. Brazil lost 7-1. This is their biggest loss ever, in the history of the sport. The last time even a remotely similar score occurred was in 1920. This is the World Cup Semifinals, and Brazil is one of the best teams on Planet Earth. For one, 7 goals is virtually unheard of. It's happened like twice before in what, two centuries? Two, that just isn't a Soccer score, especially at the World Cup level. And what's more, Germany scored 5 goals in 18 minutes, to end the first half 5-0. 4 of which were all within 6 minutes of each other. This is completely unprecedented. It has never happened before, and the odds of it happening again are about the same as someone getting struck by lightning five times in a row. On a cloudless day.

Wow, I was on SWTOR, and they were discussing this very subject. A few jokes about Brazil here and there.

I heard about the smack down Germany laid on Brazil and that was crazy. Before you call me a front runner just know my mom was born in Germany and my grand mom was raised in Germany. I was happy to hear about Germans beating Brazil espically since I thought the Germans were going to lose to a better team who hasn't lost a home game in several decades. They are my second favorite team (behind the US) in this tournament and I was I am not really into soccer but I will watch the world cup.
A couple of questions Neo
Does Mario and the golden goddess qualify or is it still to new?
Also do you watch the NFL?
I am a huge fan of the NFL and I might as well spill the beans now. I am a fan of Americas team the Dallas Cowboys. Yes the team that spends millions of dollars to be an interesting mediocre team.
