I had a question about ranking up (new member to full member to expert etc.)? Is it something that you control Neo or is it something that happens automatically?

Both. Ranking up happens automatically, but I control how exactly the ranking system works. So I choose the names of the ranks, how you rank up(Post count, Karma etc), whether it's automatic or not, etc.

I know Karma is something from the gamefaqs board. Does that mean how you get along with everyone? Also is there a way to check it?

I decided not to implement Karma on this site. Karma on the Verse is the same as GF, and it determines what you can and can't do(how many topics you can create, whether you can edit, etc). However, I decided to use the Post Count system instead. This is far simpler, and it gives me one less thing to manage, while still giving my members something to achieve.
With the Post Count system, you automatically gain a rank when you reach a certain number of posts.
0 to 69 posts- New Member
70 to149 posts- Full Member
150 to 999- Expert
1000 to 1499- Royal
1500 to 2499- Legend
2500 to ?- Eternal
Once you reach Eternal status, your rank doesn't change unless you hit 5000 posts. Then, if you have been a member in good standing for over a year(No administrative actions have been taken against you), you can apply to be a Moderator. When a member has been a Moderator for a year with no black marks on their record, they may apply to be a Global Moderator. Global Mods, or Globes, are as high as you can get. The only exception is when I am away for an extended period of time, or am otherwise occupied, I may promote a Globe to an Acting Admin. AAs have all the same power as me, minus access to the Admin Control Panel, which is reserved solely for the Main Administrator(Me).

I don't know if I should just create another thread but how do you change the name of a thread you created? I never had an account on gamefaqs so I am sure how to change it, or rename it?

You can't. Once a thread is created, the chosen name is permanent. Both over on GF and here.
