1. Excessive profanity is not allowed. If you absolutely must use a strong curse word, for whatever reason, then please blot out all letters except the first. For example, F***. Now this only applies to strong curse words. You may still write ass, permitting you actually have a legitimate reason to do so, and you do not get carried away. Also, do not message me and ask what qualifies as a strong curse word. If you have to ask, then the answer is most likely yes. First time offenders will be warned. If the action is still repeated, then punitive measures will be taken.
2. No flooding! For those of you who do not know what that is, it's excessively posting in a single topic, with the intention of purposely derailing said topic. If you have a disagreement with someone, please do not take it out on their hard work. Message them and try to resolve it civilly. If you feel you have been wronged, then feel free to message me or one of my staff. But please respect the time and effort that goes into CYOAs and a lot of topics in general. Remember, what may seem trivial to you, could mean the world to someone else. Bumping a topic while the TC is away is permitted, as long as you abide by the TOS and Guidelines.
3. Absolutely no porn of any kind. Period. Offenses will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. If you are an author, and you must write an adult scene for your story, then please try to be as unspecific as possible. The less detail, the better. If more than one person complains to me about a scene being too graphic, and I agree, the author is liable to be penalized. The offending author will be given a chance to delete the scene in question and rewrite it. If the author refuses to do so, then I myself will delete the scene and the author will be suspended for 14 days. Repeating offenses are grounds for banishment.
4. Anyone is allowed to create their own CYOA here, but normal stories or game related fanfics and discussions are allowed, as long as they abide by the TOS and Guidelines. All social topics go into the Social Board.
5. Do not steal someone else's work! If an author is away, and his/her topic is unfinished, you may only bump the topic. Do not try to continue the story unless given express permission to do so by the original author. If an author is away, but his/her last topic is closed, do NOT attempt to reboot the topic. Only the original author knows what they want for their story.
6. Impersonation is expressly prohibited. Violations will be dealt with swiftly.
7. Flaming and Severe Tolling are forbidden. Violators will be warned once. A repeat offense is grounds for suspension. For those of you who are new, Flaming is the act of harshly criticising or verbally attacking another user. Trolling is the act of intentionally baiting another user into responding negatively. Minor trolling, as long as it is playful in nature and does not offend the user in question will not immediately incur you a warning.
8. Off topic posting is prohibited. If a post is not related at least indirectly to the topic at hand, it will be deleted.
No disciplinary action will be taken.
9. And lastly, have fun! This forum is meant to be a virtual writer's playground. Just don't get too wild.
