"Did you hit your head?" Avenicci blurted out before he realized his mistake and clamped his hands over his mouth before glancing at Dorian who just did a spit-take.

"I...I'm confused," she said as her expression changed to one of pain, "Why would you say something like that?"
She continued to act out of character, as she tried to find out why everyone thought she was being strange. Her head didn't have any bruises or cuts, or anything else to suggest she had literally hit her head. And it didn't hurt like a normal injury would, so she couldn't figure it out.

"O-... Ode-..." she struggles for a minute, gripping her head in pain as she is obviously fighting something in her mind, before a look of complete mental clarity is seen on her face. "Odette. That's always been my name."

"Are you sure?" Avenicci squinted as he tried to understand what's going on. "Lorelei, I think you might need to see a doctor."

Upon hearing Avenicci call her Lorelei, she starts breaking down. She clutches her head, trying to make the throbbing and the maddening memories go away. The rest of her body is shaking, as the personalities of both Odette and Lorelei try to be the one to answer him. Odette needed to tell him that she was telling the truth, but Lorelei needed to deny that she ever said she was Odette, and blame it all on madness. As she became unable to keep in her cries and screams from the pain in her head, she needed one side to win, just for long enough that she could go back to sleep. Because then everything would be better later, no more pain and confusion.

Siegemund dragged himself back into the tent and plopped himself down. He was restless, and locked up his book of history He wasn't sure how long he read, but by the time of dawn he was being shook awake.
"C'mon we got a long journey ahead of is to Whiterun." Nephle muttered. He wasn't sure wha made him bat her hand away and gather his things. The journey back to the ship was quiet, much to his happiness.
"You've been quite all day. Something the matter?" Nephle asked. She shifted one hand towards the wheel, keeping it on track. Siegemund ignored her, not feeling in the mood. She hadn't told him at all that she had met him before.
"I'm talking to you." She scowled. Once again the youth paid her no attention. It was only when he was thrown to the ground did he act "What!" He snapped, getting back to his foot.
"Don't what me. You've been in a bad mood all morning. Something in your memories not going well?" She asked icily. Siegemund gritted his teeth." Very well, the fact you never told me we met even for a short while, or were you hiding the fact you're an imperial?" He growled. Nephle seemed to take a step back. She quickly composed herself however. "The time wasn't right. You fell back into the ocean. I haven't seen you in 14 months besides." She replied quietly.
His eyes widened, "14 months? It's been a year and two months?!" He shrieked. "Since the empire has fallen, yes. Sithis wiped out all of the crown heirs." She explained. Siegemund took a step back reeling from revelations. " and I'm knocked out cold." He finished.
"I managed to find you and bring you to a small family in Whiterun. How you ended on that ice field I have no idea, but I'm glad you're safe." She whispered.
Siegemund said nothing as he stared out to the sea sullenly.

The rest of the trip to whiterun was silent. Nothing except the crashing waves against the ship. In the captains quarter, Siegemund stood analyzing Stardust.
"Explains how she knew what to name it." He muttered. She had been nearby on the memory sequence, but the thing that puzzled him Was that her personality seemed... Bolder, in contrast of her meek personality.
"Well it has been Long time... I assume I'm nineteen." He continued to speak to himself. He didn't hear the door opening behind him. The figure said nothing as it stood behind him. On reflex Siegemund stiffened and turned around. " and you are?" He asked. It took a moment for him to recognize the figure in the dim room.
The figure receded And walked out of the quarter quietly. "Maybe I am being a jerk if I'm seeing things." He sighed.
Tonight he would apologize before they steppe off the ship. He cast one look at stardust and sheathed the blade. He stepped out, taking in the fresh air.
Night came all to soon for him. He rapped gently on the door to his friends room. "Nephle? I came to apologize." He said through the door.
No response.
"Nephle?!" He tried Again. More silence. Shaking his head, he turned to leave just as the door opened revealing a sleepy blonde. "No need to yell. I heard you loud and clear." She replied sleepily.
"Oh, I didn't know you were asleep. I just came to apologize and tell you we"ll be arriving in whiterun not long from now." He ran a hand Through his short hair sheepishly.
The imperial stared at him amused. "You have no social skills do you?" She leaned against the wooden frame.
His silence was all she needed to confirm her answer. "You were never one for apologizing. More reckless and brash." She said aloud.
This caught his attention," you knew me before my memory loss?" He did his best to keep the accusatory tone from his voice. Her eyes shifted before coming back to him," we talked a few times before the attack. Nothing much really. I'll leave the rest of putting your memories in place to you tiger." She grinned.
"Thanks, for the help friend." Siegemund rolled his eyes and begin walking back to his own quarters.
"I jus pray the memories don't bring back that side of him. Even now I can see glimpses of soldier him." Nephle thought worriedly.

"No, my head..." she said as she had to use Avenicci for support again to keep from falling. "I need to go back to sleep."
As her eyes began to close, she seemed almost scared to fall asleep again. But it also seemed to be painful for her to fight sleep, so in the end, she had to push her fears aside.
"I'm always sleeping...but I never get any rest..." she said just before falling into a deep sleep.

Avenicci caught Lorelei before she fell to the ground and held her in a bridal position, which put quite a strain on his back.
"Ow..." He whimpered as he struggled to keep her off the ground. "Hey, Dorian, a little help here?"
Lorelei tossed a bit in his arms as the servant supported Avenicci by holding Lorelei's legs up.
"Allow me to carry her for you." Dorian told him stoically as he hoisted Lorelei onto his shoulder effortlessly. "I obviously can't trust you to not do certain things."
"Not funny." Avenicci replied with a soul-piercing gaze as he grabbed a blanket and placed it over Lorelei's shoulders before folding it under the rest of her body.
"We need to take her to a doctor or a priest or an apothecary quickly." He examined as he snatched the pot of fondue and hurried off back towards Karthwasten where there should hopefully be a carriage driver on his way to one of the big cities.

After a long walk back to Karthwasten, they found a carriage heading southwest towards Markarth. They paid a small sum of money for transport to the city of the dwarves and within an hour, they reached the city.
"Where's the nearest doctor!?" Avenicci shouted at one of the guards who was guarding the main gate.
"Woah there, Imperial. Calm down." The guard shook hi hands as he backed away and pointed to his left. "The Hag's Cure, turn right, then left by one of the streams. Oldest shop in Markarth, since before the Dragon Crisis."
"Thank you." Avenicci quickly replied as he threw a small bag of coins at the guard's feet and rushed inside with Doroan before heading into the aforementioned potion shop.
"We need a doctor!" He yelled as he had Dorian put Lorelei down onto a table in the shop. "She's been suffering from chills, strange nightmares, partial memory loss, and confusion!"
"Coming!" A woman's voice could be heard from the back room before a Breton woman appeared behind the counter and looked at Lorelei. "Oh, dear. It's past closing time, and the door should have been locked. Let me see her..."
The Breton skittered over to Lorelei's body before takin her pulse, breathing pattern, and examining the inside of her mouth before moving we into a nearby stretcher.
"She needs a priest more than an alchemist, but I'll see what I can do." She explained as she rushed her into a room of to the side.

Coming in from the cold tundra were Siegemund and Nephle. Siegemund looked up at the sign that read plains district. From afar he could see the merchants chattering to passing villagers.
"This place seems so familiar." He said to Nephle. She looked at him wondering if he had forgot what she told him earlier.
"Whiterun, home of the true Nords, or so they say." She smiled. Siegemund looked just as amused as she was. He looked around surprised to see a few Argonians. "I'll purchase a room at the Bannered Mare, be careful." Nephle waved.
Siegemund watched her go before a flyer caught his attention. "Companions, recruiting adventures and merchants alike. Paying good for quests. Location: jorrvaskr." He read.
He checked his pocket, 490 Septims. The job would help for awhile. He made his way over to a merchant stall again and peered at the weaponry.
"Only the finest sold from the Skyforge from the greatest Greymane himself, Siglund. The man grinned. The name was insanely familar to the red haired Nord and as he reached out to touch one, a hand touched the same weapon. He looked up surprised to see a grey haired woman staring at him with interest. "I'm sorry." He apologized and moved his hand back, but the girl grabbe into his fiercely.
Siegemund glared at her with a frosty expression to match. "Please let go of my hand." He emphasized.
"Broken boy soldier?" The girl whispered finally. Her eyes seemed to light up with some unknown relief and glee
Siegemund jacked his hand back and stepped away. Clearly this girl was insane. "Im no soldier and im sure a H*ll not broken." He protested.
The girl narrowed her eyes and shot forth with surprising speed, clutching his shoulders.

Mostly due to Elena's constant praise, Varren expected a welcoming party from the Jarl. He just didn't expect quite the welcoming he got. As the Gullwind neared the port, and Windhelm in all it's majesty loomed above them, a full platoon of guards stood waiting on the docks. Far too many for the welcoming of the Jarl's friend, and far too many for a escort. That many guards could only mean one thing. Jarl Nelod has betrayed the Guild. He's betrayed Elena.
The Guildmaster herself is still below deck, and no one else notices anything wrong-so much for a ship of thieves- so Varren springs into action. He sprints towards the second level of the deck, racing up the stairs. "Turn the ship around!" He snaps at the helmsman, who simply blinks in disbelief at the order.
"Who the blazing hell do ya-"
He never finishes, as Varren shoulder tackles him to the ground, sending him skidding across the deck like a drunk in a storm. Varren gramps the wheel and harshly turns the ship to port. The Gullwind groans as the mast leans, and the ship gradually begins turning back out to sea. The guards on the docks, realizing their plan has been discovered, draw their weapons and bark orders at more guards, hidden on the bridge above. Oh, s***... Archers. And a lot of them.
And if that wasn't bad enough, as the archers mounted on the bridge high above notch their arrows, Varren notices small flickers of light. "Take the wheel!!" Varren screams at the helmsman. "We're under attack!"
The sailor's eyes widen as he jumps into action, seizing the wheel from Varren like a madman. "What in Aetherius is going on?!" Elena barks, finally exiting the cabin below.
She's quickly interrupted by Varren tackling her from behind, as the first volley of fire arrows is unleashed. Thankfully, the Gull had already begun to leave port, and most of the arrows fell short. But not all. Elena lands beneath him with an oof, instinctively clutching his shoulders. "We're under attack," Varren breathes to her, and her eyes turn icy. "I can see that! Let me up!"
Varren quickly bolts to his feet, and as Elena leaps to hers, the ship finally comes alive. The two other Nightingales burst from below decks, already dressed in full battle gear, bows drawn and arrows notched, followed by swarming Guild members. However, the Gullwind is rapidly gaining speed, and the distance between them and their adversaries is steadily increasing. The two Nightingales, along with Elena, manage to eliminate six or seven archers, before the gap proves too great. Within minutes, Windhelm lays behind them, and they're safely out at sea.
"What the hell happened?!" Elena snaps, whirling on Varren.
He narrows his eyes dangerously. "I just saved our hides, that's what. Your friend, Jarl Nelod, betrayed us. They were waiting with a large, meticulously planned, ambush. An ambush of that size isn't meant to take prisoners."
Elena deflates like a lead balloon, all her anger vanishing, leaving only resignation and hurt. "But... Why? I've known Nelod for years, decades even. Why would he want to kill me?"
"I don't know," Varren admits. "But I intend to find out."
"As much as I hate to interrupt," the Khajiit Nightingale Droithe says in a tone that implies differently, moving to stand between Varren and Elena. "We can discuss they whys and wherefores later. Now, we need to discuss a new plan of action."
Elena nods, clearly troubled. "You're right. It's probably best if we just sail down the coast. We can moor the ship in the old waterways, east of Riften."
Droithe seems pleased with this, and Varren narrows his eyes again. He really doesn't like this cat. Elena brushes past Droithe as she barks the order to the helmsman, before walking back to Varren. "I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier," she says softly. "And thank you. You saved us all."
Varren merely nods, watching as the troubled elf heads back down below deck. For some reason, instinct maybe, he turns around to look for Droithe. But the cat is nowhere to be seen.

The woman came back a few minutes later with a furrowed brow and a crooked frown.
"There's not much I can do for her, but you're overreacting." She explained as she put an empty bottle on the counter. "I can keep her calm and stable. She's in no danger. I thought this was an emergency! You're crazy! However, just because her condition isn't dangerous doesn't mean it's not serious. Her nightmares and supposed memory mishaps aren't natural. It's probably some sort of Daedra messing with her mind. Vaermina or Sheogorath most likely. I'll call for a priest, but you owe me 500 Septims for this."
"That's... A lot of money. What did you give her?" Avenicci asked as he tried to examine the bottle.
"Some medicine, a few potions, and some paralysis poison to stop the shaking." The apothecary tapped her had as she recalled what she had used.
"Was that really necessary?" Avenicci groaned as he have the Breton a glossy-eyed look.
"Maaaaaaaybe." She smiled in return to her comment.
"Fine." He grumbled as he have her a small bag of Septims along with a couple of gems. "That should cover it."

" was your mother Marthdia?" The girl asks. Siegemund was tired, undoubtly so. "What does it matter?" He asked none to gently.
The girl steps back as the merchant manhandles her. "Sorry sir, this is Thaeva Grey-mane, daughter of Siglund." He says frantically. He is quickly repelled by Thaeva elbowing him in the face.
"Marthdia was my aunt." She replied gruffly. Siegemund wasn't expecting this piece of information. "Quit the jokes, Marthdia was married to Herman." He chuckled dryly. Thaeva shook her head," broken boy soldier, you should know that's a lie."
"I am not a soldier, nor broken. Why are you calling me this? I dot even know you." He exhaled. "Because, she is telling the truth." The two whirled around to see Nephle behind them, staring at her feet. It became clear to Siegemund," you gave me to relatives? I'm confused." He said.
"Marthdia was a grey-mane. I knew this, and the fact she never married Herman Septim." Nephle continued guiltily. "Impossible. My parents were married. They refered to each other as so in my memories." Siegemund insisted. "Your right, I'm sorry." Nephle said.
"There's room at the house for two more. Father is at the Skyforge for now, mother would be happy to see her Nephew." Thaeva grinned.
Siegemund didn't want to believe this woman was a relative of his, but Nephle had confirmed it. "Thank you, I'm sorry for not believing you." He apologized.
The group of three made their way back to a home located in the wind district. The house was spacious and fit for a mansion. On the porch stood a woman with equally grey hair, fixing weapons. She looked up at Thaeva before her eyes were drawn to Siegemund. "Impossible." She whispered. The boy had vanished months ago from the home. Her eyes moved to Nephle and glinted with coldness,"I told you not to return to my home imperial." She scowled. "I'm only here to bring back your nephew. I found him on a ice field." Nephle replied strained. Siegemund did not like this tension one bit.
"I've known her far longer than I remember you. Where I go, she stays." He glared. "Mother." Thaeva pleaded. Eventually, the old woman sighed and nodded," very well, I will allow you I stay, but who you are must stay hidden." She said.
Siegemund followed behind the three women, pondering on the recent events. Tomorrow he would see the jarl.

As her nightmare shifted again, Lorelei found herself in a dimly lit room. She was laying on a double bed, staring up at the ceiling. The room was cool, and damp, and because there was no natural light, she knew she had to be underground. But the ceiling and the parts of the walls she could see were made of stone blocks. And somewhere in the distance, she could hear a door open, and footsteps. The door closed, and then she heard the unmistakable sound of lock clicking.
For reasons she wasn't sure she really understood, she began to panic. She needed to get away, but she was frozen in fear... No, there was also another reason she couldn't move.
The footsteps came closer, and she could smell blood. Her heart began to race and she wanted to scream as she could feel the warmth from another person's body, coming closer and closer, until they stopped, and the footsteps did too. She felt a hand brush the right side of her hair away from her face. Then she felt a drop of something fall on her forehead, and it was still slightly warm. The smell of blood was very strong.
She closed her eyes, waiting for the nightmare to fade into the next one. Before it did, she could feel sharp, twisted claws sliding down her neck as if caressing her, savoring the moment, before they continued down her body, stopping directly above her heart....

The priestess of Dibella that came and examined Lorelei told them that she couldn't do anything for them and redirected them towards the Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun. After buying a good stock of potions from the store and some food for the trip, Dorian, Lorelei, and Avenicci headed towards Whiterun on the carriage that they had hired previously. About halfway through the trip, Lorelei began to stir again, so Avenicci attempted to wake her up.
"Lorelei." He called as he poked her face with his gloved right hand. "Wake up. Lorelei..."
After his initial attempt failed, he grabbed her cheek and pinched it tightly. Now frustrated at being beaten by a sleeping woman, Avenicci tuned away, only to formulate a new plan. He slowly took off Lorelei's shoe before tickling her foot with great fervor.

Siegemund reclined back in the chair, waiting for his relatives to say anything. Thaeva kept giving him nervous glances much to his amusement. And his Aunt was busy repairing weapons, but every so often she would throw a glare at the woman that was standing beside him.
"You know," Thaeva began," you use to visit here on your off days at the imperial academy." She was trying to make conversation he realized. "Im afraid I don't remember that." He said as politely as he could, which was surprisingly good.
Nephle was shifting uncomfortably, which in turn made him nervous. "Something wrong?" He whispered. Her head was stiff as she shook her head no. They were all up waiting for Siglund to return from the Skyforge.
Siegemund stood up from his seat in the chair and gave a knowing look at Nephle and then the chair. Nephle sighed and took his place in the chair, something his aunt noticed. "We have plenty of chairs dear. No need to take someone's else's." She remarked snidely.
These people were frustrating him. This wasn't just a game anymore, at least in his perspective. The civil war had ended 800 years ago, possibly more and this woman apparently was clinging to hate.
He opened his mouth, but Nephle beat him o the punch. "Look, Vornette. I brought Siegemund here to stay. I figured he would want to know he has some family left in this world. Right now, we are involved in something much bigger than you think. And I would really be thankful if you could lay off your staunch views of imperials, not all of us are bad." She said exasperatedly.
Vornette, his aunt seemed to be right jawed at the moment, "A truce until then Nephle. Though you'll have to earn my trust rather than speak it."
Things seemed to be good for now and Siegemund was conter until the door opened revealing a 6'3 man with rippling muscles. His hair was grey an so was his beard. Siegemund looked at him and then his muscles and gaped.
"By the nine is this man a Titan!" He screamed in his mind.

Lorelei woke up, screamed, and started scrambling to get away from Avenicci.
"Where am I...?! What's going on?!" she asked, still disoriented and somewhat afraid.
