"Why was your pickaxe in here?"
"This morning, when we were all in Tucker's room, it fell out of my bag during the commotion."
That's right. Sylvia was there this morning. So was Sam, Erika, and Spy. Before you can say much else, Sam cuts in and begins to speak with Sylvia.

You take a moment to investigate the bathroom and the closet. Nothing looks out of place here. You get the feeling you won't find any clues relating to the murder in these places.

You head outside and begin to investigate carefully.
You couldn't really see it before, but in the grass, you can see a burned trail of gunpowder! This must be connected to the explosive Tucker was killed with. The trail leads up close to the window and stops there. You notice the window is broken as well. The explosive must have been launched inside the room after the window was broken. Otherwise the scorch marks would be on the outside of the building, not the inside of Tucker's room. The rest of the trail looks to head back toward the dining hall.

You follow the gunpowder trail into the dining hall and behind the stage where Vicky was performing. This looks like...the fireworks blast off point. There's multiple scorch marks on the ground similar to what you saw in Tucker's room. If the fireworks were lit, that must mean that the gunpowder trail would be lit as well. That must be why the explosion happened so close to the fireworks show.
Gunpowder Trail was updated!
You take a moment to breathe. There probably isn't much time left to investigate. You should make sure your last action is important.

You quickly make your way down to the Ultimate Pyrotechnics Lab to find that gunpowder has been spilled all over the floor. You start to investigate, but Claus decides to fill you in so you don't have to waste time. "The footprints in the gunpowder appear to belong to Vivian. The sneakers match hers when I was doing laundry this morning. Furthermore, her footprints go directly to the fire starting materials and head directly out the door after that. She didn't go anywhere else in this room." Claus points out the gunpowder spill. "It also appears a container of gunpowder was dropped on the floor here. But if you look at the way it spilled, it seems almost as if something was obstructing the path of the spill right here. The gunpowder was blocked and stuck to whatever was in the way, making this odd shape." Footprints were added to your Truth Bullets!
Gunpowder was added to your Truth Bullets! As Claus finishes explaining, you hear the announcement play over the intercom. *BING BONG DING DONG* "Ahem. All students please report to the garden immediately! The class trial is about to begin! Anyone that doesn't attend will be punished! SO HURRY UP ALREADY!" Nekoshi's voice cuts out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r86SoFC-0ZEYou decide to head to the garden, finding everyone else gathered there as well. Even Erika. Most of the group have grim looks on their faces. Claus turns to speak with you before the trial begins. "Leanne? I'm counting on you to get us through this. No matter what the truth is, you must go through with it. Do you understand? All of our lives are on the line here. But then again...You are the Ultimate Detective, aren't you? I'm certain we are in good hands." Everyone's attention turns to the giant tree in the garden as the ground itself begins to rumble. The exterior of the tree slides open, revealing a large elevator inside. Everyone boards and stands in silence as the elevator slowly descends. The wait feels like an eternity. But then, finally, the doors open.

As the doors open, you find yourselves in a large, circular room, standing on individual, floating platforms. With this circular style...you could all look at each other. You can all speak to each other. You can all throw blame at each other. You look among the faces of your classmates. Dennis, Vicky, James, Amelia. Axel, Claus, Ashley, Aki. Sylvia, Sato, Vivian, Spy. Sam and Erika. And the deceased Tucker. A photo of him stands on an empty platform, crossed out with a red X. Tucker was killed. And it was one of you that did it. This marks your first round in the ring of deception. A world of despair. A palace of death. The class trial! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ve4u_nt-TwBefore the trial begins, you decide to go over the evidence you've collected. Nekoshi File #1The victim is Tucker Rally, the Ultimate Geopolitical Analyst. He was killed at 8:31 PM. Large burns can be seen throughout the body and the cause of death was an explosion. There are no other notable injuries found on Tucker's body. Tucker's Room KeyYou still have Tucker's room key from last night. His room was locked all night and hasn't been unlocked since this morning. That means it would be impossible to get inside Tucker's room until after you opened the door and anyone could have gone inside since then. Vivian's AccountVivian left with Tucker during the party to get Sylvia's lucky pickaxe from his dorm room. When they arrived at the dorm room, the explosion detonated and Tucker was killed by the extreme burns found on his body. Lucky PickaxeSylvia left her lucky pickaxe in Tucker's room and asked him to retrieve it for her during the party. Apparently, she was planning on doing something at the party she wouldn't be comfortable with without the lucky pickaxe. The pickaxe seems to have been meticulously cared for. Gunpowder TrailA trail of burned gunpowder was found leading from the fireworks launch site behind Vicky's stage over to just outside Tucker's window. It looked like the explosive was activated outside and launched inside somehow. The window had to be broken before the explosive activated because there was no trace of an explosion outside. The gunpowder would have been lit at the same time the fireworks were lit because of how close they were to each other. FootprintsVivian's footprints were found in the spilled gunpowder in the Ultimate Pyrotechnics Lab. They led directly to the fire starting materials and then directly outside with no detours. GunpowderThe gunpowder spilled in the Ultimate Pyrotechnics Lab was shaped in a strange way, as if something was in the way when the container was dropped. The gunpowder was blocked by this object, so it made an odd shape.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOtvk2-dgHY"Let's begin with an explanation of the class trial!" Nekoshi hops up on top of what looks to be a judge's seat. "During the trial, you'll present your arguments for who the culprit is and vote for the killer! Vote correctly, and only the blackened will be punished. But if you pick the wrong person...everyone except the blackened will be punished and that person will graduate from this academy! Also, if you don't vote, you die! So make sure you vote for someone! Now let's get right into it! LET THE CLASS TRIAL BEGINNNNYAAAAA!" Sato crosses his arms. "How does this even work...? We just have to find bad guy, right?" Axel stands up and shouts to everyone. "Alright! Whoever is the killer, just tell us now, okay?" Sam gives Axel a look. "Why would that ever work...?" "Gh...!? I-I...guess you're right. But I just thought it was worth trying...?" "This is a fight to the death, so come on!" "Whoa, whoa, wait a minute!" Vicky tries to get Sam to calm down. "We don't even know where to start yet." Claus speaks up. "Would you mind if I started us off with a topic then? Before we can figure out who killed Tucker, we need to figure out how Tucker was killed. What was the murder weapon?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=88RNU7oWrDEFind The Truth!(In this section there will be two kinds of points. Contradiction Points and Consent Points. You have to shoot one of these with your Truth Bullets to progress the discussion! It's up to you to figure out which Truth Bullet to use where!) Vivian is the first to speak. "There was a big explosion when I was with Tucker. There's no doubt that's what killed him. But I'm not sure what made the explosion..." Sam questions her further. "Do you know what triggered the explosion, at least? Was it set to go off when the door opened, or did someone have to trigger it manually?-" "Sweet beautiful rope Powerful and amazing Yet so so fragile"www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOtvk2-dgHYAki cuts in. "There wasn't a mechanism set up beforehand...But there was a gunpowder trail that led to Tucker's window. It's likely that killer manually burned the gunpowder to set off the explosives." Claus nods. "That would make sense. But that still leaves a very important question. What was the explosive used?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=88RNU7oWrDEFind The Truth! You think. "The gunpowder trail ended just outside the window. So that must mean... the explosive was launched inside." Axel sighs. "No, no, you're thinking about it all wrong! The explosive was definitely thrown in the window!" Vivian hesitates a moment. "U-Um...I don't think I remember hearing any glass break..." Sylvia shrugs. "Maybe the window was open when they threw the bomb inside?" Amelia shakes her head. " Ze window was closed and clearly broken when we walked into ze room." Axel points dramatically. "So that means the missile was actually a ghost-" "Surely you don't believe that."www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOtvk2-dgHY&t=278sDennis elaborates further. "I can't speak on if vengeful spirits were involved, but it wasn't a missile. I found what remained of a firework in Tucker's room and when I returned to my lab to check, one had indeed been pilfered and my space violated." Erika gives Dennis a suspicious look. "How did someone get in your lab?" Ashley looks surprised. "Oh, look who finally decided to start being useful." Claus explains. "The labs do not lock. So essentially, anyone can enter and exit at will. That means even though the fireworks are from Dennis' lab, Dennis may not be the killer." "YAWN! BORING!" Nekoshi shouts to the others. "Come on, let's get on with the real deal here! Who's the killer?" "There's no need to rush recklessly through our discussion. We need to prove beyond any doubt who here is guilty," Claus continues. "So then. We should move on from there. How exactly did the killer light the gunpowder trail?" You think for a moment. "There must be some kind of evidence..." Present Evidence!(In this section, you must select one of your Truth Bullets to present as evidence. Keep in mind that anyone could submit evidence at this time, but not all of you have the same Truth Bullets. You may choose to abstain from providing evidence if you don't believe you have anything that fits the prompt. However, if you choose to abstain and you do have the right evidence, your Influence will take damage. Take too much Influence damage and you won't be able to participate in the rest of the trial.) A. Present Nekoshi File #1 B. Present Tucker's Room Key C. Present Vivian's Account D. Present Lucky Pickaxe E. Present Gunpowder Trail F. Present Footprints G. Present Gunpowder H. Abstain from Presenting Evidence

How could the pickaxe be in good shape when there was an EXPLOSION in the room!
Dude, I saw so many red flags, but it was in character for Tucker to blindly trust people so a sense of trust could be formed through everyone, hence the reason why Leanne has Tuck's key.

From what we know, it's either Vivian or Sylvia.
Something I'd like to point out is what the Monokuma Nekoshi file says:
"The victim is Tucker Rally, the Ultimate Geopolitical Analyst. He was killed at 8:31 PM. Large burns can be seen throughout the body and the cause of death was an explosion. There are no other notable injuries found on Tucker's body."
Nowhere does it say the cause of death was the burns, or that the cause of death was the specific explosion. Now, true, it would be difficult to mean anything else.
BUT the possibility exists.

"Did you forget this?"Dennis continues. "I've taken it upon myself to catalog every single fire starter in this prison and a single match taken from my lab is the only one out of place. This means the murderer must have lit the gunpowder with said match." A look of realization dawns upon Sylvia. "And you kept the matches right there in your lab, didn't you? That place!" "This will prove my point."Claus takes out an image of the spilled gunpowder in the Pyrotechnics Lab with footprints in it. "These footprints must depict whoever it is that went to the Ultimate Pyrotechnics Lab and stole the match. And if what I know is correct...These footprints belong to Vivian!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijoiffic39sVivian lets out a scared gasp as the platform she stands on moves into the center, putting everyone's attention on her. "N-No, it's not..." "That's right. These footprints match your sneakers perfectly. I remember from this morning while I was doing the laundry. The dimensions on it are perfect. They could only fit you." "B-But it isn't me, I swear! I would never hurt Tucker!" Axel shouts over Vivian. "Don't be ridiculous! Vivian would never do such a thing!" Ashley throws her a skeptical glare. "The timing is too perfect..." www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Wq2gH6gu4Mass Panic Debate!(In this section, you must place the conversations together before you can fire any Truth Bullets! Put the three different ongoing conversations together in order from first line said to last. Once you've correctly ordered the conversations, you can shoot your Truth Bullets at any Contradiction Points or Consent Points you see. But keep in mind that you'll be working with one other player. You may not have the correct Truth Bullets or you may both have the right Truth Bullets. Be careful when selecting what to shoot!) A. Axel yells at Claus. "Would you seriously accuse someone of something so horrible!?" B. Vivian tries to defend herself. "I didn't even know that would happen! Why would I even want Tucker to get hurt?" C. Aki tries to explain. "Axel, I'm afraid we have to find the culprit. It has to be one of us. So we must figure out whether it could have been Vivian." D. Ashley continues. "I mean, just look at when Vivian showed up. She was the first to find Tucker's body." E. Dennis accuses Vivian. "If you didn't kill him, what were you doing in my lab?" F. Vicky shakes her head. "But that doesn't mean she killed him." G. Axel continues to yell. "No! Suspecting my friends is wrong! That cat must be pulling something! There's no way!" H. Dennis continues. " There wasn't a mess before the party and there is after Tucker's death. A mess you walked through! How do you explain that?" I. Claus responds with annoyance. "Be silent! Do you not realize we're trying to have a discussion?" J. Spy attempts to calm things down. "Let us not be so hasty in deciding the verdict quite yet. There are still some unsolved mysteries related to the case." K. Sylvia sighs. "We need to consider every possibility. She could have just set off the explosive and run to see him first, pretending she was surprised." L. Erika crosses her arms. "Claus is right. I can't think with all this noise..." M. Ashley laughs a bit. "That reminds me of a role I played once. A widow that would murder her husband and pretend to be the victim all so she could get his money!" N. Vicky throws Ashley a skeptical look. "Is that...really relevant?"
