The Dating Sim: Remastered

Dewey defends himself. So does Fox. Kiran quietly loads something into his sleeve while he thinks nobody's watching.

Katie and Arcadia go after the fish. They attack from either side. Arcadia swings her magic blades and slices the fish. The crab immediately leaps at her, quick as a bullet. It latches on and starts hacking at her face with its claws. Katie swings her claws and hits the fish, and the crab immediately springboards off Arcadia's chest and onto Katie to bash away at her instead.

The fish adds insult to injury as it heals what damage it took. The crab finishes its attack and slowly scuttles over to Dewey. It flicks its claws at him. Menacingly. His shins hurt, but he manages to keep his cool.

Somnis and Tia are just standing around chatting! Emo's group just finished up! Levi's mining from the cliff!

Get a healer over here you idiot. Geez. I thought your Knowledge score was like...4, not -3.

I mean... It's implied that someone in the group will make sure to let the key's auto-regen work fur a bit before picking another fight.

...I'm not, like, a horrible tyrant or anything. You can disagree with me.

I just think it's a good idea to craft while we wait to be healed. Or like...get medical attention from someone because it sounded like we were in a bad situation.

Arcadia takes a moment to catch her breath, her breathing a little heavy. "D-Damn, that could have gone better... I'll have to put in more work next fight. I'm still rarin' to go for more, I swear, but I wouldn't mind some new armor..."

"Well, getting armor was the entire reason we're here," Fox reminds everyone.  "So...  Oh, it looks like Kiran's decided."

Kiran wanders over to Somnis, materials in-hand. He pauses, listening in on their conversation.

"I mentioned that Alice was injured in an elevator accident, right?  But... Could Mercia have done that?"  Somnis is petting that bunny-girl again...  At least it's her ears this time, instead of her butt.  Well, maybe that's not such a great thing...  "Fox and Katie and Dewey and I went into the portal soon after it opened, and she was waiting for us inside...  And with how long we talked and based on when Alice was injured, did she possible have a chance to leave the otherworld in time to sabotage anything...?"

Tia hisses again.  Annoyed.  "Who caressssss?  It wasssss at her command, at the very least..."

"I wonder..."  Somnis mutters.  "If Mercia wanted us to do our dirty work for her, why would she have incapacitated one of our most experienced explorers?"

"Because Alice could have figured out another way to save Laura!" Tia suggests.

"Hmmmmm...  Oh, hey."  Somnis turns towards Kiran, but looks a bit to his side.  Kiran follows her gaze and sees that Mattea girl standing beside him.

Kiran shows Somnis the materials he wants to use.  "Hm...  Well, I won't stop you, but... I think maybe we need to use one of the fish eyes?"

"Oh.  Can I not use this wing?" Mattea asks.

"You can use up to three, and they don't have to be the same."

"Great!  I'll go first, then.  Um...  What do I do?" Mattea stands there, holding 5 light scales, 2 fish eyes, and a bat wing.

"Well, you can't do it with your armor on.  So first, turn off your soul key..." Somnis instructs.  She lets Morgan go and pulls out the same materials, minus the wing.  Mattea follows along with her.  "Now, we're going to take these things and press them against the key while thinking about armor, starting with the main components - the scales.  As the new armor's forming, touch the other stuff there really quick.  OK?  If you're slow, you'll have to fight a bunch more fish to get more stuff."

"Yeah, yeah.  I get it!" Mattea says.  She reverts to her bikini, noticeably shrinking in height, then holds up her key and touches the scales to it.  The key absorbs them and her armor reforms, but this time the dress is a bit different.  The skirt is shorter, there are a pair of long sleeves, the back is filled in, and the whole patterned with what looks like several small scales.  She presses one fish eye against the key as the armor is still glowing white.  It picks up a faint blue glow.  She presses another eye against it, and the structure changes.  The sleeves detach and tighten into arm bands, her high heels elongate into something resembling swim fins, and the dress seems to tear into a two-piece swimsuit to bare her midriff.  She touches the wing to the key, and fins pop out of her arm bands, and a larger pair on her back.

The armor solidifies into a solid form.  "Wow...  This feels really different."  Mattea examines herself.  She glances at Tai, then turns and strikes a pose.  "But I still look damn sexy in this getup, huh?"

If you're going to flirt, at least be smooth. Option A just sounds desperate and I'd rather not say anything that seem like an idiot.

Also. Use five scales and three eyes. Maximum fire resist!

"Sexy Mermaid/Siren girl. Not bad." Tai smirks.

"Damn straight!" Mattea says.

"You do have a really nice figure," Kiran admits.  "If I looked that good, I'd want to show off, too.  You must work pretty hard on that, huh?"

Mattea smiles and nods.  "Naturally.  But I'm not just a pretty face!  Check this out!"  Mattea gracefully dives into the water

Kiran and Tai leave to do their crafting, since a fight's about to break out and all...  The two of them join the group that are all making their armor.

Tai puts together his armor.  It starts in the form of his usual armor, but made of small scales.  He uses the fish eye and his shirt shrinks to show off a flash of his midriff and more of his arms.  He grows a pair of bat-like wings poking out of his bare lower back.  A hard, spiky plate appears on his shoulder.

Most people just use a set of light scales and fish eyes.

The bottom half of Tia's toga shortens and the top disappears, replaced with a floral-patterned bikini top.  A few sunflowers decorate her sandals.

Somnis' armor takes on an appearance more like a skintight sharksuit - chainmail combined with a wetsuit to resist shark bites.  It completely covers her from neck to ankles, but leaves her feet bare.  Her mask looks a bit more like a scuba mask.

Natsumi's ceremonial pants change to a pair of short-shorts in the same color.  Her sleeves remain the same, but the rest of her shirt's replaced with a top from a two-piece swimsuit.  Her short cloth boots are replaced with flip-flops.

Buttons' armor looks almost exactly like his swimsuit in the real world.  Bare-chest, robe-y bottom, sandals, and his hood.

Kiran and Arcadia find their new outfits look strikingly similar before they start using the modifiers.  Kiran's leotard disappears, replaced with a pair of shorts.  His feathery cape takes on a slightly plastic, rubbery appearance, and he now wears sequined sandals.  Other than the small scale pattern and a blueish tinge, Arcadia doesn't have much of change in most of her outfit.  Her stockings and high heels are gone, but a short sarong wrap covers her upper thighs, at least, even if she's left barefoot.

Kiran notices the party that's fighting - Katie, Fox, Dewey, Morgan, Levi, and Mattea - are up against FIVE of those stupid fish, a crab, and a giant... rubbery... green... tentacle... thing.

Oh, and that Tom guy seems to be mining some of the ores from the open cliff.

(C) Start climbing the cliff!
(D) Watch the fight.  With popcorn, preferably!
