I would imagine that you wouldn't want people to know that you're a vampire. "Hey, I'm a blood sucking monster." That usually doesn't go well.
Inners and Ken probably wouldn't give the vampire thing much thought though.

So, should Talia stumble upon that group at some point, or...?

Well, she's outside of The Valley, so unless she's teleported in or travels across some dangerous mountains for fun, probably not. It would likely be easier for Talia to run into Irving since they're pretty close on the map. But Emppy needs to post for Irving first and then I need to post for Crystal. Then you should probably talk to Emppy about it to see if he's okay with it.
If you want though, I can probably have Libra hire her to do stuff or something.

Are there any more locations? Or are there some that the players make up...like the original Austur?
The circles seem the same, but what about occupations that exist? Organizations?

Locations may not be fully up to date. The ones written down are what is already established. You can make up whatever locations you want to fit in the world.
I'm not really sure what you want me to tell you when you ask for occupations.
The only organization that's been put together so far is The Seal of Orichalcus. They're a group that's trying to seal away magic once and for all using ancient technology locked away in old ruins.

I'm really just trying to get a feel for the setting beyond the introductory lore, so that way it's easier to make a character. Established political factions, other organizations like, say, rogue helpers for the beggars and poor—Robin Hoods essentially—and whatever else, races (if applicable), etcetera.
There's a lot of freedom that it's easy to get lost in it, and end up creating something that isn't feasible for roleplaying, or just wander in a random direction; I see that several locations have returned from Austur.
Do tradesmen guilds exist, explorers, mercenaries, that sort of thing. I could never figure out the original's time period to be exact, in order to create something plausible for the setting. Though anything player-created is bound to be created with a culture inspired from elsewhere.

Alright, so in terms of established political relationships, all we know so far is that all of the small villages in The Valley have agreed not to fight with each other and have open trade and communications with each other. They're cut off from the world outside of The Valley, so they've pretty much entered their own peaceful state. Aside from Fusan. The farming village of Fusan is currently undergoing a civil war between the farmers and the rich plantation owners. But Fusan is the farthest village in The Valley, being set just on the edge, away from the other villages and surrounded by plains.
I'd say organizations for just about anything would probably exist. Feel free to post your ideas here and I'll help you out by telling you if that's possible or not. Your example definitely sounds like a thing that would happen. Especially in Alibab when there's such a huge difference between the rich and the poor.
Not much work has gone into races. There's humans, which can possibly contain any type of magic. There's also water nymphs, which are from the old Austur. They can't use magic. X has characters that are called Laguz. They're basically masters of Shape Magic that are skilled at turning into animals, but have been extinct for years. There's also vampires, which naturally have powerful Dark Magic. And I think the only other race we've established is the Okir. They are humans with wolf ears and tails. They are unable to use magic, but they have a very powerful ability to sense it. They're found in The Valley and tend to have very ninja-like weapons and skills. I based them partly off of the Sheikah from Legend of Zelda. They're mostly found in Okirak Village, which I can give you plenty of info on if you're interested.
In terms of giving your characters a goal, I suggest starting with something basic and writing it out from there. I'm working on making the main threat, but I wanted to keep it open enough that you didn't have to get caught up in the main quest if you don't want to. For the most part, you can do whatever you like. I suggest giving your character a conflict and goal on your own and just going with it. Once he runs into other characters, things will get more complex and interesting with intertwining stuff. It also helps a lot to talk to others and see if you can make characters that connect together somehow.
Explorer guilds and mercenaries and all that definitely exist. There's also probably some monster hunting guilds, which could be fun and make for a simple way to get a character's personal plot going.
I'm not really sure what you want when you ask for time period, but I guess I can give you some basics on technology and stuff. So basically, a long time ago, the world reached an age of antiquity where technology and magic was at its peak before collapsing. These powerful technological items can still be found in ancient ruins today, but those ruins are dangerous and hard to get into. The most advanced technology currently is magitech. Although magitech is new and is usually only found in the hands of the rich and powerful. Things like airships and stuff probably exist. The setting is kind of Final Fantasy in that way. Common tech and things like that tend to change depending on where you go. For example, in The Valley, they don't have magitech and airships and stuff, but outside of it, they do. And in Libra's town (don't remember the name) it's surprisingly modern and more advanced than you would usually find. Does that help at all?

That clears up things; I'm tempted to revive two other characters, but one character seems ideal at the time. I'll have to give it more thought, and see if I can find their character sheets if they still exist. Personal plots seem best to me for now.
I'd like my characters to work themselves up before being pulled into a main quest of sorts. I've always been interested in Alibab, so a character there would be nice, or at least from there. I'm not sure if Crow kept the gods and politics, or if he's rebuilding things from the ground up. So it might be best to recreate one of the other two characters first and go on from there.
Maybe I'll end up creating an area and culture in the meantime. I've the two magicks in mind down...just the planning that needs to go into things. Thanks.

No problem. Just keep in mind if you ever want to add anything, feel free to ask about it. I wanted to give you guys a lot of freedom to shape the world how you wanted.

Probably. You'd have to be good at hiding it though.

Can Talia go to the laguz village and run around being completely disrespectful and petting everybody?

How does one be good at petting...? I guess with human-animal hybrids, they'd be able to... help... train you how to pet better...?

As one that is pet often, I can say some are definitely better than others.

Is there some undiscovered forest or desert or mountain region?
But Talia could bet Cathrine, Barry, and Sam all she wanted

Do you need anything from me to get that Libra thing started? As in Talia wandering somewhere specific or doing/meeting someone?
