Well since there was there is a topic about Short Stories, I minus well put this one down since I told this Urban Legend once before when I was camping a long time ago. Pretty much the Legend is about one of the foods we still eat today known as Sloppy Joes. How this food wasn't made by accident but instead by coincidence.
I think it all started around the 1920's when a butcher named "Joe" owned a diner with his loving wife, who course loved quite dearly but one evening Joe came back home early from his usual job to not only find out that his wife was cheating with not only with another man but that man was also his best friend ! This kind of ticked off Joe quite so much to a point where he became insane for just finding out the complete truth between the two. Of course this ended up with a lot of arguments but eventually the madness that Joe was driven to made him murder both his cheating wife and his best friend right inside his own house. Soon after murdering them, Joe disposed the bodies by chopping them up and sending them piece by piece through a meat grinder that he owns.
The next day, Joe invited his beloved departed wife's parents and the parents of his ex-best friend out to dinner at his own diner. Once they were there, Joe mentioned to them that the two cheaters had run off together and had left him a note saying that "She wanted a divorce and that she wanted to marry his best friend off instead right away" since both parents asked the question of where they were now. Shortly after the question has been answered, Joe now served the now unconformable and confused parents their dinner. The dinner that was served to them was ground meat in a special sauce on a bun. The meat also had a unique flavor as well, one that none of them had ever tasted before. Joe's mother-in-Law said "This is delicious Joe, what is the name of your creation ?" Joe smirked at her and responded back saying "Sloppy Joe" while they were eating the dead bodies of the ex-wife and ex-best friend ! Since then, Joe has been selling Sloppy Joes at his diner and it had became a huge hit though out the years.
Also I would also like to point out that Sloppy Joes were also called "MAN-WICH". The meat in the sandwich was made from the man and the “witch” who committed adultery and the horrible act of betrayal against the butcher. Don't worry, there is no body parts in the actual product but it was still considered an invention by Joe himself.
Of course there are many versions of this urban legend but what I am trying to tell you is my version of this disturbing legend and I do not wish you to be grossed out from all of this and lose your faith towards Sloppy Joe's.
