Oh. Well if that's tomorrow and you're doing that tonight... we can maybe do Rinea's stuff Sunday? I'll have to let you know tomorrow night.

Ah... right. The start of the campaign. So... I'm probably not going to be getting a job or moving anytime soon, I'm probably re-enrolling as a full time student this semester. I'm not really ready to talk about the reason behind all that, though. So... I guess I'm ready to start when everyone else is?

I'll be ready, not this Sunday (I only arrive in the States that night), but next Sunday.
Still need to decide on a character though.

I just found out that Paizo is releasing a new book for Pathfinder sometime later this year that's going to include a new base class: the Shifter.
That's something I'm gonna be looking forward to. Maybe it'll allow me to do that Blue Mage concept I've been thinking about with the Chimera Soul PoW discipline.

I completely forgot about Rinea... Uh... I'll probably be back around 8 or 9 if you want to do it then?

Oh. I'm actually really busy. I've barely been able to sit down today because my mom has been sick and her sugar has been all over the place. I'm trying to catch up on stuff. I don't think I can make it tonight, Birdy. I'm sorry about that.

Oh.
Spell Component Pouch: A spellcaster with a spell component pouch is assumed to have all the material components and focuses needed for spellcasting, except for those components that have a specific cost, divine focuses, and focuses that wouldn’t fit in a pouch.

Kaaaay. But I still need someone to explain the whole Somatics thing again. Cause it doesn't make any sense to me. If my Oracle casts spontaneous, innate magic, why does she need ingredients and things to cast spells...? And is there anything else I need?

Uhhh I don't remember who else uses spells but quick rundown since Neo didn't realize it so may as well do it for everyone.
So spells can have Verbal, Somatic, and Focus/Material components. It'll be listed under the spell's page.
Verbal requires being able to speak, so no underwater unless you can breath or if you're silenced or I guess if someone like punched you in the throat.
Somatic you need your hands, so no if you're holding a shield (except bucklers, which lose their AC bonus for 1 turn if you cast a spell) or tied up or your arms are asleep.
Material/Focus requires you to have stuff. So if someone robbed you or you were arrested or you were in the bathtub when a fight broke out it could be a problem. If you have the spellcaster pouch, you don't really need to worry about it unless it's a special expensive material, which will be listed under the spell's thingy.
I think... most spells are V/S, so it's a generally safe assumption.

Kaaaay. And is there anything else I need? Basic stuff like canteens and a tent, I guess. But I still need someone to explain the whole Somatics thing again. Cause it doesn't make any sense to me. If my Oracle casts spontaneous, innate magic, why does she need ingredients and things to cast spells...? OK, so... like... Verbal, you're chanting an incantation. Somatic, you're tracing rune in the air. Focus, you're channeling magic through some item. Materials... kinda vary. Like for your Barbed Chains spell, it would be something like Rinea chanting a spell (verbal) and swinging (somatic) her bloody chain (material) around before tossing it to the ground where it springs to like as an attack-y chain-snake or something.

Also, Oracles don't use innate magic.
Rinea has innate magic as a kitsune. So her spell-like abilities are mostly not going to need materials and focuses and like. She can shape-change into a cutey-cute foxy-fox at will pretty much - I think it explicitly says she just needs to think about it.
Divine magic, on the other hand, does come from a god or, for oracles, sometimes some kind of eldritch abomination or something. But Rinea still needs to invoke the magic with channeling/chanting/etc.
