Lance turns around feeling some kind of surge only to see Maribelle behind him, much to his surprise. Past her is Lissa backing up the old man and the dragon. Quickly returning his attention to Validar, this is was a good thing in the end. Lance once again charged Validar, who loosed a fireball from his palm straight at him. Just before he collided with the spell, a barrier wrapped around him, shielding him from most of the damage allowing him to power through ti without much effort, much to Validar's surprise. Using this chance Lance struck home, right through hi s heart.
Holding the lance to his neck, Lance spoke "Your corrupted mumbo jumbo ends here old man. I'll see you when I end up in hell myself."
Validar laughed as he coughed up blood, "Ha...ha...Master...Grima...comes..."
Lance, being the only one who heard this, narrowed his eyes trying to comprehend it. Seeing it futile, he drove his lance and finished Validar off. Upon inspection, Lance found a Master Seal on his body, which his pocketed for later. He and Maribelle returned to what remained of the army and helped finish everyone off. After the last man fell, they all gathered together.
"You two...thanks. But as you YOU ladies, WHAT were you thinking about coming back here?" Lance shouted.
"Gregor think they no want friend to die, ya?" Gregor defended them.
"Was I big and scary?" a little girl popped in from behind Gregor.
"Whoa!" Lance, Maribelle and Lisaa shouted.
"My name's Nowi! I'm a Manakete!" she explained.
"Hmm that explains the orb in your hand then." Lance added.
"We returned because Lissa would not stop about how we could not just leave you to your death!" Maribelle stated sharply.
Lissa smirked, "You said he was too cute to waste Maribelle."
"Either way...we need to ride, we have to meet up with your brother and the rest of them." Lance broke the since after a moment.
The ride was silent, mines Lance's snores from the back of Maribelle's horse, much to the amusement of the others. Lance dreamt of an open field that suddenly went dark and a mysterious robed person arose from the ground with an evil aura. When he finally awoke, he was next to the campfire. Feeling groggy, he struggled to get up.
"Rest friend, you earned it." a voice told him.
Finally sitting up, he saw that the voice was Chrom's. He also noticed everyone was still awake and doing their own things minus Chrom and the the hooded person across from him. Standing up, he wondered what to do first.
