Okay, before I make the new topic, I'm gonna need help.
How was this going to be run? From what I understand Verse RPs have no GM? Like every players write in detail what happens to their characters and decide of everything? How does that work?

Collaborative fanfiction.
That's how RPs usually work around here.
You can run things any way you like though obviously.

I'm leaning towards actually GMing, but I'm open to anyone wanting to help me understand the usual Verse style.

I'm leaning towards actually GMing, but I'm open to anyone wanting to help me understand the usual Verse style. Hmmm. Usually the "GMs" here are the users that come up with the idea, explain it, and get people on board. They create/establish the setting and rules. They then allow the participants to sign up and be approved or disapproved and plan things out a bit. Another thing is that the GMs themselves can participate with their own characters. Usually, this leads to a sprt of 'free-roam' adventure where stories and a plot develop overtime unless there is already a central plot that the players write around. I'm fine with a Vitcon style game if you'd rather do that. They're interrsting enough.

Verse style is collaborative storytelling. It's not too hard to figure out once you get what it means. Basically, think of everyone as the GM. Everyone can change the world and create as many characters as they need. Every character is part of the story and new ones can be introduced when needed. When player characters fight each other, it should never be about "I want to win" but rather, how can this fight progress the story? How can we make the scene as amazing as possible? These take a lot of talking and working together, which is why discussion threads are so much more popular on the Verse than on Vitcon. Instead of working individually, everything has to work cohesively, and so do we. If you need a good example, I suggest you read Austur. Even if only to the golem mission, it's a good example of how everyone works together to create a world while still being able to have individual flare. Here's a link. cyoa-verse.boards.net/thread/17/realm-austur-episode-new-lightThe first RP I ever did in this style was Totem, but I haven't really done an RP since then. Normally, characters will start out separate and players will have time to create their own areas and settings without having to worry too much about clashing. Then an event tends to bring them together of some kind. Finally, once you've gotten the world set up and the characters together, things get a little more advanced. You have to work together to tie in a main plot with different arcs. You also need to work together to make sure the world's lore goes together well. It takes a lot of communication and effort, but it comes together to make something pretty cool.
