Realized that Shira's ultratank from has as bad a drawback as Celica's Boom Gun.

Shira's ultratank form only works 1v1. Otherwise, it just hinders the party more than it helps. So... It's basically useless and a waste of a spell slot.

So Shira was literally useless in that session. I was too out of it to do any RP, and Shira hit one attack. One. Against the enemies she was supposed to have excelled against. She was literally useless. I feel like Crow has felt this way before. And now I feel even crappier because it was probably my fault. And I know I'm going to get like 100 EXP from that session, because the RNG said screw you. And maybe that's childish, but it's just one more thing piled up on top of everything else. I feel like I'm being pulled from a thousand different directions.
... I'm going to take a couple days away from stuff. I need to deal with my own mental state. I'll still pop in to check on people, but I'm not going to be posting in anything. And definitely no mini Schism session today. I'm just not in the right frame of mind.

It's not useless, it's just way more situational than you thought. Like if we're facing multiple dangerous enemies instead of just 1.

I can definitely tell you Shira is not useless.
I don't feel useless myself, but when I see you guys destroying everything while I can only kill one normal mook per action or do 8 damages to the boss while you guys go over 30 damages, I feel weak as all hell.
I guess it's all about perspective and while I don't regret my choice of character, from my point of view you're all far superior to me in any situation.

But there's a ton of stuff you can do that Celica can't. And will never be able to do. And once you get some higher level spells...

Hey, Neo, you know I'm legitimately not mad about that comment, right? Not at you, anyway. It's an understandable mistake to make. Remember this has come up before. How I didn't interact in those days, how I missed out on everything from the UB anniversary - oh, but now there's a chance for a new one - to mailbags to back when people used to actually RP in the threads. Which was... my choice.

I know, Crow. I was just mad at myself for making the comment.
I'm doing a lot better now. Sleep helped. Looking at things objectively, I know Shira isn't useless. It just felt that way that session, because the RNG screwed me over in the biggest way possible, and this was the first real fight the party was in since the very first session, and to top it all off, it was against enemies that Shira can one-shot. So I was really, really frustrated. Still am a bit, but the odds of me rolling that badly again are fairly low- so long as the universe plays nice.
Slimex has more spells than anyone. He just needs some more offensive spells. Mal, maybe look through the Book of Magic and look at higher level elemental spells and invocations, and see if Mystic would let you get one from Kana?

Also, I think we should take a break from Dracomundi. After we defeat Conquest and meet the Water Dragon, let's go do a sidequest planet or something. Maybe go back to Rifts Earth for a bit. Just something to break up the monotony, and give us something new to do. Anyone agree?

As I said, I'm okay with my character. I love it. I'm just saying MDC-damage wise, he's lacking compared to the rest of the party.
It was just my way to point out that Shira isn't useless at all.
We had SDC enemies last session and Slimex kicked their asses. MDC enemies are the problem.

I can still do the 12th. I'll just be tired. Taking Mal's absence into consideration, it's up to you about that day, Mystic. I just for sure can't do it earlier and later that weekend doesn't work for Mal, so... yeah. You'll figure it out.
