Lightblade only takes 1 action, because Shira has the Elemental Warlock version, which has a lower cost. You don't need to be out of combat to attempt to cast a higher level spell, you just need to be far enough away to not be in the thick of battle. All of Shira's current spells cost 1 action and can be used instantaneously.

Out of "direct" combat or however they phrase it. And then the not-clearly-defined rule about catching breath which Mystic might want to consider ignoring. I'm super-confused. Because I remember there being some spell that requires knowing someone's true name to control them, but I can't find it now. Maybe it's some kind of general rule or something, or one of the spells from the not-main book...? Someone knows what I'm talking about, right? Because Celica's whole reason for always hiding her name is a super-huge phobia of being mind-controlled. |

I think there's some psionics and demon spells that require true names. Like how Slimex needs a Damon's true name to resummon it.

No Psionics, but Demon Summoning rituals require knowing the true name of the demon. I think. There might be one spell that requires knowing a true name, but I don't think so.
"Catching your breath" just means you need time to recover after you've been interrupted in the middle of a channeling spell, which means you have to spend an extra action to recover.
