Can we read Arabic...?

You flip back to the Arabic-looking page. Your memories seem to be pretty much entirely absent, but reading Arabic doesn't seem to be a thing you can, or ever could do.

Well. I'm not seeing any use in reading this book then. Crow?

Try reading one of the other books? Ace's maybe?

You put your own book back, and pull out the Horror book. Flicking through it again, you remind yourself of the story. Though it is legible, it is only just less mysterious than your own. It is never made clear who the protagonist is, though they do seem to harbour an intense fear for their father figure. It isn't arranged in any kind of chronological order, and the perspective keeps changing on previous scenarios. Monsters that appear to be horrible and gruesome to see are retconned to be silhouettes that melt into the darkness, with no clear transition.
While reading you notice that all page numbers that are divisible by 15 are conspicuously absent. You check, and find that the same is true of all other books, explaining some of the confusion reading them as a whole.
Reopening the Horror book once more, you notice something about the protagonist's motive. They seem to be trying to a particular place, and when they are away from the other characters, they report to unknown correspondents.
You wonder what you actually have to do for the Test of Studiousness. Perhaps it has something to do with one of the remaining apps?

Ugh, fine. We'll be "smart" about this. Try the "?" app.

...We should take these books and read them all thoroughly later. Do we have a bag?

You decide to try the ? app. But first, you consider taking the books with you. Without thinking, you attempt to put them in a pile, but the silvery chain on each one prevents you from taking the books at all far away from the bookshelves. Maybe if you had your sword here you could cut through the chain or the shelf?
You sigh, and go over to the tablet again. You open the app, and it comes up with 'Test of Studiousness - Timed Literature Quiz'.
Do you press the start button? You're fairly sure you can remember most of the details from pretty much every book except your own.

...First try reading Thriller without the mask on...
If there's no weird anti-reading-your-own filter in place, put the thing back on and let's start.

You read the Mystical book again, but this time you take off your moose mask. Initially, you don't see any difference. However, once you get to the third entry, you see that something is different.
Before, you registered the fact that the symbols on the page had a slight green shimmer, however the significance of this passed you by.
Now, the symbols on the page are recognisable. Very recognisable. It appears to be a flipped English text.
Not having a mirror, you are not able to easily read them, however you do manage it. It's a tale about a sorcerer exploring a labyrinth, only to have the exit be sealed for a thousand years before he can leave. Not wanting to die, he puts himself in a deep sleep, so that when the labyrinth is reopened, he can finally leave. However, before he puts himself into the sleep, the enchantment of the labyrinth fades, and he makes a horrifying discovery.
That's when it cuts off, at page 45. After that, another indecipherable passage.
However...
You put your moose mask back on, and look at the pages again. The words superimposed on the narrative you just read are not merely the narrative itself flipped, but seem to be other, readable text. If you concentrate, you think you can ignore what you just read, and focus on the new stuff.
However...
Do you want to read on?

Let's... finish the room first, then come back to it. Test first.

Right, we need to save Ace. We'll have plenty of time to read later.

You press 'Start' and go through the questions. You have 10 seconds to do each one, so grabbing a book and flipping through it isn't an option. There are a few answers you're a little uncertain about, but you're pretty sure about most of them.
After finishing the last answer, you are shown your score: ____ (27/30)
Not knowing whether or not this qualifies you to have passed the test, you take a look at your progress:
Test of Sanity: Incomplete (0%)
Test of Memory: Complete (100%)
Test of Discerning: Complete (100%)
Test of Studiousness: Complete (100%)
It appears there's only one test left. You glance again at the dripping needles.
What do you do?

I get the feeling those things are full of hallucinogenic drugs. We should be fine as long as we remember anything that happens as a result of the drugs isn't real. Just don't move if something happens. And remember that it's not real. It'll pass.

You sidle up to the transparent box, and look closer. If you're really careful, you could get your arm all the way through without being punctured on the needles.
Reserving judgement, you use the magnifying glass on the liquid.
'Insanity – A substance comprised of various drugs, including Anamnesis Anathema, Lysergic acid diethylamide, Melanialbiviam, and Retinzolam. Causes vivid hallucinations, recollections, temporary lack of recipience from cone cells, fainting, and episodes of slight amnesia. Not very addictive, but does cause both extreme euphoria and extreme terror.'
You'd honestly rather avoid letting any of this substance get in your system ever. You loudly proclaim, "Hey! I'm not putting my hand in there! That would be insane! Since I'm not doing it, do I win the Test of Sanity?"
You wait for a while, however there is no answer whatsoever.
What do you do?

No. A certain someone has a debilitating fear of needles and even thinking about this is Justice, you're handling this.
