Somnis heads off to school, finding that the morning is rather typical. Nothing out of the ordinary happens. Once it becomes lunch time, Somnis heads off to go see Lisa and sit with her. As she enters, she notices that Lisa is sitting with some other girl at the moment and talking to her. Somnis casually walks over to the side and sits next to Lisa. "Morning, Tech Cutie~" She looks over at the other girl and inspects her for a moment.
Natsumi, Girl with a Brush
The girl has mid length black hair that's worn up in a bun. She's got wide, hazel eyes and thin eyebrows. Her nose is narrow and her lips are thin. She's short, small, and almost looks a little sickly from how pale she is. She's got some bandages on her and wears jeans with a plain, white button up.

The girl grins. "Lisa the tech cutie, hm? I was planning to visit the computer club after school, actually. Are you a member?"
"Yeah, I'm actually the club leader. You like computers? You didn't seem like the type."
Somnis watches the conversation and thinks to herself.
Huh. I wonder who that girl is. She seems to be trying to spend a lot of time with Lisa...
A.) Whisper to Lisa tips on how to make friends
B.) Ask the girl for her name
C.) Tell the girl to back off of your cutie
D.) Club the girl over the head with a stick you conveniently brought in your bag
E.) Ask both of them if they want to audition for the musical
F.) Ask if they're related

"Oh, right. Well, this is Somnis. She's my girlfriend. And Somnis, this girl is-" Before she can finish, Somnis pulls out a large stick and clubs Natsumi over the head with it.
"Oopsie, did I do that~" Somnis places her stick back in the bag and Natsumi's head hurts quite a bit. "That's how we say hi around here. Sadly, I didn't have a fountain to push you into. I could have made you strip and stolen your clothes too, but that just seemed like a bit too much work~" Somnis gives you the face of DON'T TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND. She then quickly changes expressions to a smile as Lisa turns around.
"SOMNIS! YOU CAN'T JUST CLUB PEOPLE IN THE HEAD!"
"I can if they're flirting with you and need friendship initiation."
"I swear, you are just getting out of hand these days." Lisa seems angry with Somnis as she picks up Natsumi and helps bring her to the nurse's office.
Aww, I made Lisa mad. I hope she doesn't hold it against me. I was only trying to protect her...
The bell rings for everyone and lunch is over. Going to classes as usual, nothing really eventful seems to happen. It looks like today is the last day to sign up for musical auditions though. Better do that if you're interested. Classes eventually end and everyone is free to do what they want in the afternoon.

Somnis decides to try out for the musical and heads on into the auditions. She performs about averagely and Avalon gives her some applause at the end. "Nice work, Somnis. We'll give you the results of the auditions tomorrow after school okay? They'll be posted in the hall." "Alright! See you tomorrow then." Somnis leaves the auditorium and finds that it's dark out already. I should probably head home. Somnis' mom is sitting at the table, trying to make some sense out of a bunch of information lying on the table. "Hey mom." Somnis shuts the door behind her as Dogachu comes charging in the room and tackles her to the ground, licking her face. "Aww, I love you too." She picks up Dogachu in her arms and carries him around. "Wow, you're getting heavy, Dogachu. I'm not gonna be able to carry you around soon." She sits down with her doggie and checks her phone for any new messages. From Lisa: I can't believe you hit that girl today! That's not nice! I should choose my response carefully...A.) "Sorry, I just wanted to protect you..." B.) "I was jealous. You're MY cutie." C.) "That girl was suspicious. I don't like her." D.) "I know, I know. I'll apologize tomorrow." E.) "How about we go on a date tomorrow to prove how sorry I am?" F.) "Can we push her into a fountain and steal her clothes now...?" I wonder if I should ask mom about otherworld stuff or if I should do something else tonight...1.) Somnis sends a text asking if she can push Natsumi into a fountain and steal her clothes.
From Lisa: SOMNIS!
She then sends a message that says she's kidding and she'll apologize tomorrow.
From Lisa: Good. I hope so. The way you acted was not very nice today. I expect better from you.
I get the feeling I may have made her a bit angrier with that joke. At least I can make it up to her tomorrow by apologizing to that girl. Uh...what was her name...?
Somnis puts her phone away and turns to her mom. "Hey, mom, did you have anything about convenience stores show up in your investigations?"
"Actually, I did. How did you know?"
"Lucky guess."
"There were reports of a suspicious man lurking nearby a convenience store last night."
A man...? It couldn't have been Zack, could it?
"Let's go check it out together, mom! It sounds like fun! It'll be just like when I was little and was your assistant detective!"
"I don't know why you have the sudden interest in my work, but I'd love you to come along. Work's a bit less tedious when you're with someone you love."
"Alright! Let's go!" Somnis charges outside and gets in the car. Her mom follows after.
The two drive down to the convenience store in question and get out of the car. As Somnis' mom starts to head inside, Somnis stays outside and looks around. "...Are you coming, Somnis?"
"Don't worry mom! I've got the perimeter covered! I'll look for clues out here!" She pulls out a magnifying glass and begins to run around, inspecting random objects with it.
"Alright, I'll be out when I'm done." She heads inside as Somnis quickly tosses the magnifying glass over her shoulder and begins running around in search of the portal to the other world.
Alright. It's almost midnight. There should be a portal around here somewhere.
She searches around the front, but doesn't find anything in particular. She then runs to the back and finds nothing there.
WHERE IS IT!? Oh, maybe it's inside!
Somnis heads in through the doors and sees her mom talking with the cashier. She quickly inspects the store, knocking various objects off shelves.
Nothing in here either...? What time is it...? 11:59? Ugggghhhhh it's not even time to start searching yet?
As she sighs, Somnis turns and sees her mom finishing conversation with the cashier. "So, find any helpful info from the cashier, mom?"
"Nothing aside from the man was wearing a large coat and a baseball cap..."
That description just screams ZACK.
"Oh, too bad. I didn't find any clues outside either..."
"Hey, cheer up. This is a tough case. Any help is good help to have, right?"
"Yeah, I'm glad we got to spend some time together, mom."
But I REALLY would have been glad if I found that portal.
"I'm glad too. We don't get to spend a lot of time together as a family. I'm really sorry about that Somnis..."
"Yeah, it's okay. Whatever. Let's go find that port-CLUE! LET'S FIND THAT CLUE!" Somnis darts out of the store, in search of the portal to the other world.
Her mom stands in the store and lets out a small sigh. "Always full of energy, aren't you? You remind me of so much of your father..." She walks outside after Somnis.
As both Somnis and her mom get in the car, Somnis looks around outside.
Hmm. I guess this wasn't the right place...
Just as she's about to give up, a red, swirling vortex appears in front of the doors to the convenience store as the car drives away.
Oh, nevermind. I'd go back now, but...mom's already driving home and I can't just tell her that there's a portal back there and she needs to turn the car around...
Somnis returns home and heads to bed with Dogachu for the night, cuddling him.
Hopefully I can go to the otherworld tomorrow. I'll have to call Buttons and Lisa to see if they're free...

Eventually, classes come to an end. AfternoonSomnis notices that the roles for the musical have been posted. She got a named character role, but nothing too special like a lead. I think all she knows about Morgan is CAT SNAKE NINJA SO CUTE SO FUZZY SO HUGS Morgan litteraly brings her ferrets with her everywhere they even got there own cute little carrying bag. Like one of those bags you see some people have when they bring small dogs on a train. They even have a complete ferret wardrobe. (Bret is the male and Meg is the Female ferret) |
