Hope throws a piece of meat into the water and three Sahagins jump out immediately. Seiberg and Daniel immediately cast Thunder together as it combines into a Thundara. A large blast of electricity takes out all three of them, conducting through the Sahagins easily since they are made mostly of water and are covered in water. One of them drops some Gil and Hope picks it up. The gate is still closed with the mechanism and strange switch.

Daniel: throw Hope on strange switch

Hope walks over to the switch and stands on it. A geyser of water comes up from the nearby water. Something is inside of it, but it's not entirely clear what it is through all the spraying water.

Flurrie: Try to blow it out? If that doesn't work, Daniel: Throw La Rena into geyser.
Edit: I don't know why I keep thinking La Rena's super-great in water. Wait, yes I do. Mythological selkies hung out in water. Eh, La Rena's as chuckable as anyone else. And probably the most expendable right now. I don't want to risk Waite, like, getting overwhelmed and dissolving.

Flurrie blows a powerful wind at the geyser, knocking a moon shaped stone out of it. Daniel picks up the stone and places it into the ancient mechanism with the gate opening. The party moves onward, noticing the road split. One way leads toward a dead end with some ancient structure and the other is the clear path forward with another gate blocking up ahead.
Which path will you take?

Well clear path ahead is blocked and most likely the dead end contains a boss battle against Graveler.... errr Geodude..... Golem.
So lets go to the gate check it out then afterwards lets go towards the boss battle.... ancient structure

The party heads toward the gate. A circle of land surrounds a small circle of water. You notice bubbles are in it. There's a switch on the left side of the large circle and an ancient mechanism in front of the gate. A strange, slime creature stands in front of the gate as well.

Maybe Waite our strange water creature can talk with the weird slime creature.

Waite approaches the strange slime creature. He tries to communicate with it, but the creature releases an icy breath on Waite, freezing him solid. The green eye gem changes color to red, but Waite cannot move since his entire body is frozen.

Like in Avatar. Meanwhile, we'll set up a Defensive force With Flurrie and Daniel up front and La Rena in the back for Long Range. Nog can use Scruff's rock smash on the Ice and then Join Rena at the back. Oh yeah, Hope can stay back in reserve in case things start going bad.

The entire group prepares to battle the slime monster, but Seiberg casts a single fire spell and the slime monster melts away into a puddle. Meanwhile, Scruff uses Rock Smash on Waite, breaking apart the ice into pieces. The eye gem inside falls to the ground among the shattered ice, returning to being colorless. The area is silent again. The gate still stands closed with the ancient mechanism untouched. The mysterious platform still has not been used and the water in the center still bubbles.

At least Waite will be okay. As long as his Gem is fine we can just put it ito some Water/Substance. Presumably.
Hmm. Let's cast fire on the broken Ice and put Waite's Gem into the produced puddle.
Unless y'all would rather wait on bringing Waite back?

Last time it almost killed Hope. What I'm saying is I'm all for it so long as everyone else stays back.

Seiberg casts Fire on the shattered ice, placing the eye gem into the produces puddle. This returns the green color to the gem and revives Waite, but he's very tiny this time. Likely the result of lost water from shattering and remelting and such. Tiny Waite rejoins the party.

Though maybe it would be better to... ... ...Waite?

Hope push button. Everyone else ready to snipe the bubble-beast with thundara arrows. I should give Kira a tiny-tiny Pocket Waite. Heh heh... Pocketwitch.

Okay push that button and let's get prepared for what ever comes our way. Love how a character of Crow somehow became a part of Challenge Tower despite Mystic haven't read walking dream and the only reason X said Waite was because of water creature. Oh but Pocket Waite should so happen in walking dream. It can be a way Waite keeps an eye on Kira with Smexy results [/spoilers]

Hope stands on the switch as multiple Sahagins leap out of the bubbling water. Seiberg and Daniel take out two with a Thundara and Rena and Nogeko snipe the other two with their arrows. A geyser can be seen coming up out of the ground in the distance. It's just barely out of the barrier inside the miasma...
What will you do?
