GRIFFIN! What exactly even is a campaign loss mean? Just a plot-setback? It's like if you wanted to save the king, but lost and he died. Like that time the Dark Lords captured Lupis and his family. He didn't die, but Darkus did because he was the head of the royal guard and had to die to save him, leading to Kardus trying to kill the party later on.

But does it mean anything... mechanistically?

Lol. You ain't gonna be beating this particular boss quickly. This is a "HOLY S*** bring out the Griffin or we're all dead!!!" kinda boss. Rule #42: Never underestimate your playerbase. Trust me. I'm not. Already made that mistake once. Mystic, word of advice, you really, really, really shouldn't be rolling anything but Songs and ranged attacks in this fight. This particular boss has mixed feelings towards Karth and she has a really high chance to 2HKO you in melee.

Also, to avoid confusion, I would like to point out that you guys probably won't get to the boss this session. But next session, definitely.

But does it mean anything... mechanistically? No. Unless I determine it's a particularly bad campaign loss. In that case, you'll all lose 1 Recovery for lost morale.

So you can see the dice that I rolled, right? Even if you weren't there when I did it?

I can't be there to play anymore, but I can post here if you need my input or have questions on anything.

I am the worst tabletop RPG player ever. I know nothing about the mechanics of anything, so I'm always just doing what the character would do. And so, at the absolute worst time, I do what my character would do, with no reason to think that such things would work, and I inevitably break the game.
Good job, me.

I was the one who allowed it.
