Are icons actually stronger than the tarrasque...? Some of them are, yes. A few of them- namely the Red, the Emperor(At full power), and the GGW(At full power)- are considerably stronger than the Tarrasque. And the Icons who are weaker than the Tarrasque aren't weaker by much. The Icons are all incredibly powerful. However, the Icons are all restricted in what they can do because of their duties, responsibilities, personalities, and unique ways their powers work. For example, the Emperor might be powerful enough to slay the Red- if he managed to reclaim the lost powers of the First Emperor. However, if the Emperor were to fall or resign his post, the known world would fall into chaos and the 13th Age would come crashing down. Similar with the GGW. The Great Gold Wyrm is one of the most powerful entities to have ever lived. In his prime, at full power, he could easily deal with a Tarrasque- even fully kill one. Even the Red wouldn't mess with a fully resurrected GGW. However, the GGW is considerably weakened by his eternal battle against the demons of the Abyss. And if he were to ever be freed and there was no one to take his place.... Then the Abyss would erupt into the world and everything would go to hell. Literally. But if the GGW could be given a respite for just a single day... It's said that he could singlehandedly beat back all the evils in the world. The Tarrasque has no such restrictions. It is an immortal engine of rampant destruction and chaos, a living force of nature.

Probably depends on which one. Also, I feel like bargaining would work really well for me. Even if I roll a one I feel like it can't end that badly. Because I can probably add icon to my roll too as being a popular merchant in towns allied with any of the icons I have points with. Except the Elf Queen. I have points with the Elf Queen because yay I has ring. That's not how Icon Relationship rolls work, Mystic. You can't use an Icon Roll to help you with a Skill Check.

Then I shall endeavor to find the handsomest Silver Dragon in all the land for Aeva. And most pious. Or maybe the exact opposite would be better, to keep Aeva grounded and give her a more practical wing to lean on. I think there's a couple puns somewhere in there.

The puns are bad to the point she'd try to smash through the 4th wall just to glare at you.

You know what Spydvinge could use? A dragon. But not for romantic reasons.

Sandals of the Slippery Eel. Neo do not.
Though I'm assuming you aren't actually just following the srd in the first place.

I'm using magic items from the core book, book of loot, and the 13th Age vault, as well as creating my own and converting magic items from various editions of D&D. Most 5E and 3.5E. I even went and got the premium edition magic item compendium for 3.5 from Books-a-Million.

Warin will buy everything at full price, too. Not necessarily because he's opposed to haggling, which he knows a thing or two about as an armorer, but because he considers it impolite to go into human society expecting a dwarven discount.
Travel Rations(12 Pack) 5 Gold Filled Canteens(6) 50 Gold Large Leather Backpack 20 Gold Lantern(With Oil) 50 Gold Rope(50 ft) 50 Gold Fire Crystal 150 Gold Bottle of Oil 20 Gold Traveling Cloak 10 Gold
A total of 355 gold spent from 675 (25 to start as a Cleric,) leaving him with 320 Gold.

...Why do filled canteens cost 40 gold more than empty?
Books-a-Million still exists? All the ones hereabouts closed.

That explains the food prices, too... If 500 gold's a sizeable reward, how can the poor afford to live right now?
(Aeva's motivation to knock The Red upside the head increases 300%)

(Aeva's motivation to knock The Red upside the head increases 300%) Let's just say the poor have had an extremely tough time the past decade, and the CoL has been very busy trying to help.
