By the way did you want to start Nyl's thing earlier so the others aren't sitting around with nothing to do?

I was just planning to do some RP for the others in the meantime, but we can start a little early and still do that RP and it will work better. 30 minutes earlier sound good? So 8:30 EST for Nyl's thing? |

I nominate Idoun and Ninian. Which was originally a joke but now I'm thinking would be a really strong team. Unless the enemy resists ice.

Jeez. I just realized how dangerous Seren would be in the singles. We need to let her fight a few of those before we leave.
As for the boss fight... yeah, she'd be a solid choice for doubles, too. With just about anyone. Did you have a partner in mind?

I've been pretty down, and since I missed almost everything yesterday (I only saw Nyl's first match before I fell asleep) I have a lot to look into before I could answer that. You're sick? I thought you were just tired from work. No, just so tired from work. I worked on shift on 4 hours of sleep because I got scheduled back to back closing then opening. I then tried to stay awake that afternoon so I would sleep the whole night. Couldn't. Fell asleep and had horrible nightmares, which in some parts included my work. And a wall of Silent Hill fog coming towards me. And then I woke up and felt that much worse. I fell asleep really late and then had to open again yesterday morning. But in general, it's the combination of exhaustion and stress that's got me. I missed my normal mental vacation from all of this when I fell asleep during session, so... Yeah. |

Thing GX brought up to me: Yes, if you want to do some single matches in between sessions while the party has some free time in a city, that's fine. Just arrange a time with me that I can do.
Any necessary RP that would have happened can be sorted out during the next actual session. Also, Seren doing single matches will not mess up win streaks.

Seren's on a 6 win streak in Epic tier Singles matches in Drakkenhall, with an upcoming EX fight.
She borrowed 3000 gold from the shared funds to enter the first time, and paid it all back out of her initial winnings. Speaking of winnings, after you remove the three items she used in fights, she won:
24000 gold
3 War God's Wine
2 Platinum Green Dragon totem
1 Platinum Woolly Mammoth totem
1 Platinum Earth Titan totem
1 Platinum Roc totem
1 Platinum T-Rex totem
6 Dragon Shield
3 Small sapphire (est 300 gold)

1 Small emerald (est 300 gold)
2 Potion of Dragonskin (+AC/PD)
Small crystal (est 300 gold)
1 Barbarian Hero's War Axe
1 Potion of Glory (Epic)

Having fought against a Rakshasha initially, she got off to a rocky start as they both rolled too low to hit each other, but he died four rounds in from miss damage she caused. His gimmick was to use an illusion to take on his opponent's form. Seren gave zero ***** about hitting a copy of herself (as a matter of fact, that was the only attack she landed that fight).
Next up was a self-titled valkyrie, who used a Potion of Dragonskin to try to give herself an edge (+4 to AC and PD). Third round of combat, after having taken several blows, then healing herself, she got one-punched by Seren, with 163 damage on one attack. She was launched into the stands.
They then sent a shadow gnoll for Seren. She had an opening crit for 171 damage. It took another two round to finish him because of his massive HP pool, but no big deal.
Then there was knock-off Erza. Opener crit, 186. She went down the very next round from ongoing damage.
Seren then fought an assassin. Excited by the prospect, Seren asked if she was Black Fang. Unfortunately she was not. Seren moved first, and legitimately one-punched her. 235. Seren unintentionally came close to breaking the biggest rule of the arena. But that lady is alive. Barely.
Then they sent out a T-Rex. An actual T-Rex. Seren critted there too, but it was a good fight. She actually took a whole 23 points of damage over about 8 rounds. It went down from ongoing poison damage.
She crit six times. Only one was from her soothsaying. She did well over 1500 damage over those six fights. Apparently all this went on while the party was chilling and discussing who would fight in the double EX match. Seren just caught up to them with a good plate of food and a sack of loot.
Seren is really scary in singles matches.

I added the totems. I also just finished testing the lighting. Not perfect, especially around the doors, but it's fine. You remember how I set up doors, right? It's been a while since I've done one. I'm curious how Aeva would do in the higher stuff. More importantly, Nyl could use some more money. And maybe set up a win streak for a Heroic Singles EX. Or maybe grab Selene/Aeva/Iddy and see if we can't get set for a boss in one of the higher Doubles. I'm assuming we want to wait for proper session for boss fights, anyway. My work schedule's going to be pretty hectic this week, but I should have most nights free by 8 or 9 and I think I have tomorrow off? I need to call in and double-check that, actually. |

I'll be working the next three nights, so won't be able to do anything until Thursday. I am free tonight tho.
I am okay with doing bosses outside of full sessions, but I want everyone to be there for one, so it would probably be better to save them for a full session.
GX already knows who she's facing for EX Epic Singles, and wants to wait a bit so Seren is better prepared. I've decided you guys can still do Epic Single matches with different characters and not disrupt Seren's win streak, since single matches are character based. Seren's going to be fighting that particular EX Boss, and nobody else. But you can build up an Epic win streak with another character and face a different EX boss with them. Double Matches are team based, same with Party matches, so the next time you do a Heroic Doubles match you'll be facing the EX Boss regardless.
I'm getting on R20 now so I'll check the lighting.
