So, the plan. Seren is going to ask her father if he can do them a favor and draw out the Dwarf King with the promise of an ultra exclusive auction, featuring artifacts that even an icon would like to have for their own collection. We pull together stuff of our own that would be a good draw, but ultimately not stupidly dangerous if used against us. If we use stuff we'd actually sort of like to keep around, we'll have our own allies and agents inside (Mama Blue, Mama Black, Mira, etc.) win the bids. The hand the stuff back to us under the table, we hand gold back, everyone's happy. We'll see if any of them have stuff they can throw in to increase the allure. We should also probably ask Val about anything we can get from the Overworld that would be like a flashing neon sign for the king, but again, not dangerous if turned against the party. This is because of who all might show up to bring some of the artifacts home, and in case the king is actually permanently corrupted. We'd be using every resource and connection we have here to buy us a better shot at the vaults.

Summary:
Warin lets out the "It's Happening!" signal while being stabbed by the shadow, leading into a fight. Spike and Aeva catch up immediately, but the shadow only seems to have it out for Spike. During the fight it becomes apparent that the shadow is actually a real human underneath some magic veil, but it flees the moment we get a few hits in. Warin does manage to reveal what's beneath for a split second using the Aegis of the Sun, seeing the figure of a young woman turn past the corner. Spike seems to recognise who this may be, but prefers to keep it to himself. Aeva gives him a tsundere PAWNCH for hiding things.
Meanwhile, Karth and Seren gamble while Selene babysits. They win 115 chips at poker after outbluffing the other saps.

Summary~
The party stay at an inn in the merchant district of Glitterhaegen called The Sleeping Lion, where Seren's group gets caught up on the murder investigation. Warin and Seren do some sleuthing around the lounge for some rumours and discover that the victims are hired thugs for the Lucky 48 Casino. They're also linked back to the death of an old man named Jeremy at the hands of said thugs. Seren goes off to follow the L48 employees using a series of badass spy moves and takes a ring from one with the initials "V.I." engraved on it. She spots another murder nearly take place, and manages to get some face time with the killer shade. The killer introduces herself as a half dragon and claims ownership of the ring Seren found, it was her mother's. She wishes to avenge the death of Jeremy, her grandfather.
The next day the investigation picks up. Seren plans to use an ID she recovered from the workers to infiltrate the casino, and so she and Aeva set out to the prison to find a forger. Warin investigates the city archives and discovers that the Lucky 48's owner has the whole city in his pocket, but convinces the archive clerk to give him his lead on Jeremy in exchange for protection. Seren has a brief run in with the killer in her daily disguise as a flower girl (ALWAYS important) and Warin and Aeva go to investigate Jeremy's old workshop. It's under guard, so Aeva makes a distraction by CRASH LANDING through the upstairs window and pretending to be lost trying to find her mom's house. Warin then sneaks in after the guards heading in to investigate, using the cloak of shade to stow away in the shadows until the guards return to their positions. Then, he investigates the house and learns that the killer is named Violet, recovers some of her old sentimental objects and finds some communications indicating that Jeremy was murdered to acquire a wealth of adamantite ore that had been discovered under his bank vault.

Minor correction: Seren's plan for the ID badge is to make it seem like it's Selene's from a distance, and use Selene as bait to lure out Violet. Seren's not trying to infiltrate the casino at this stage.
Also, +1 Fate Point for Aeva. Cause she deserves it for PIXIE CRUISE MISSILE ATTACK.
