So about the throwing axes. Is it gonna be like "You have 1, you can't re-use it until you get it back" or "You have 3 that recharge after battle" or "You can throw as many as you want until I decide it's an unreasonable number of axes because you'd have filled the corridor?"

Well when I was trying out the battle system it felt like we had as many throwing weapons as necessary. Either that or my javelin is magic and retrieves itself. Which would be a cool weapon.

He's not tracking ammunition, so we never run out.
Because of that, my melee weapons are just me using ranged weapons without actually throwing them and thus am essentially a walking javelin factory of death and destruction.

While trying to close R20 for the night, I somehow managed to open it in 3 tabs at once.

I'm asking you who's engaged with you. Exactly, Who's engaged with you. What? No, What's attacking the bard. What's attacking the bard? Exactly. Well why didn't someone intercept? Because Someone's engaged with I Don't Know.

Can't sleep. Neo, you said we needed to tell you if we were taking a domain? I think I'm going to say screw it to PURE and WEB, probably take one at 8, and start with a domain instead.

OK, after my long commute which always gives me plenty of time to think, I have a litany of questions, Neo.
First, confirming 2 things from DnD rules translate to 13A. Each turn you get a quick, move, and standard actions, plus a reasonable number of free actions? Does darksight still appear in black-and-white (as in, maybe that's not actually a green dragon, maybe it's a blue dragon)?
Can you clarify Lay on Hands for me, make sure I got it right? I use one of my daily recoveries, but they use their dX+mod for the recovery?
Paladin's Challenge - it ends when I hit something that isn't my challenged target, but at Champion level I can have two active at once... which requires hitting something that isn't my challenged target to start. How does that work?
Are we playing the NPC death rules straight? That they die immediately at 0HP instead of going unconscious, unless someone specifically smacks them non-lethally?
Did that black dragon last night do anything in particular to deserve getting his butt kicked, or was he just grumpy and in the way? And should we treat that training session as a prophetic dream type of thing - like, "oh... I feel like I've seen you before...?" when we meet up? Or just completely didn't even happen?
I need a few city names. Home (Pixie) city (or tell me to do it myself and give me some basic guidelines for how the town names sound), town where she moved after THAT happened and before THAT happened, where she would've done paladin training, and HQ for after training.
Was there some reason I needed to mention taking a domain (which I've decided I'm definitely doing unless you've got some restriction against all 3 that interested me)?
And also I noticed an actual not-just-being-a-pixel-level-perfectionist problem with my token. The inner ear's still colored placeholder-green. So I'll fix that. Also the background color... I dunno. What'd you think of the orange? Maybe a nice sky blue instead? Night-sky-purple...?

Action stuff is right, but only Dark Elves get Dark vision from RAW and I don't know if it's color or not, since the black and white rule was abolished in 4th edition when Low-Light and Dark vision were combined.

What'd you think of the orange? Maybe a nice sky blue instead? Night-sky-purple...? Good lord, Crow. That's a lot of questions. 1) Each turn you have 1 standard action, 1 move action, 1 quick action, and any number of free actions. The number of actions can be modified with certain feats and talents. Free actions are simple, very quick things that wouldn't take much energy or time to do. For example, pointing and laughing at the poor dragon who got his butt kicked would be a free action. If you aren't sure if something would be a free action, you can just ask me in the battle. 2) Darkvision is a very rare ability and only Dark Elves, Gnomes, and Dragons possess it naturally. Dwarves lost the ability over generations of living above ground. I guess Pixies would have it too since they're linked to Gnomes, but since it wouldn't be required to survive in the Overworld like it is in the Under, I'm going to say it's a similar case to the Dwarves. Pixies may have had darkvision at one point in time, but they don't now. Darkvision just allows you to see as well at night or in the dark as you do in the day or in the light, nothing more. It's not black and white or anything. 3)Lay on Hands allows you to heal yourself or an ally directly next to you by spending one of your recoveries. You're basically giving one of your 8 recoveries to someone else. You spend the recovery, but they use it, so it's a free recovery for them. They roll whatever die and add whatever modifiers they would normally if they were using a recovery, unless you have the Adventurer Feat for it. If you use it on yourself, it's just like you using a recovery. Howrver, in battle, each player gets 1 free "Rally" per battle. Rallying allows you to spend a recovery mid-battle to heal yourself. After that, you have to roll a hard save(1d20, TN 16+) if you want to Rally and use a recovery again that battle. Using a recovery with Lay on Hands does not require a roll, so you could Rally yourself and then heal yourself again with Lay on Hands on your next turn without having to roll. 3) That was just a quick practice battle. I just used a dragon cause I wanted to. Completely non-canon, didn't happen, etc. If you guys want to do an actual Session 0, where you guys are in a prophetic dream sequence and have to fight your inner demons, so everyone can get used to battling more and I can do some cryptic foreshadowing and give you guys some background on what the world is like, I'm all for it. But we'll need the full party for that, and we'll have to schedule a time. I have absolutely no idea about names for Pixie cities/settlements. Maybe use the whole fairy thing and look up names of old Celtic cities? Or just use a name generator? You created them, not me. I just said they lived in the Overworld. As for the human mining settlement... I dunno. Gorm's Peak. There you go. I much prefer sky blue to orange. But I'm biased, so take that as you will.

I was hoping there was an easier way to build giant cities like Axis and Horizon. Like using maps from Pathfinder or 5E, or maybe even a city generator. So I searched and searched. And found nothing.

DnD story time? DnD story time. So I mentioned I played an evil character in a predominantly good party before. Maybe in a different thread, though... Anyway, most fun character I've played. I don't think being evil in an evil party would be as fun - what was fun was sharing the party's NOBLE GOALS while having no moral restrictions about how to accomplish them. The only restrictions being my character's skills and not pissing the good characters off enough to kill me. But it's really amazing what you can get away with if you frame it right. Goal: Prevent Minister A from assassinating Minister B Solution: Slink off while the rest of the party's investigating. Attempt to assassinate Minister B. Using the party bard who decided to follow me as a scapegoat. Result: Assassination failed. Large crowd saw an assassin make an attempt on her life. She buffs up her security. After a certain incident, the NG druid started to dismiss all my plans with "we aren't stuffing a baby in a bag of holding." Like
"Why don't we-" "We aren't stuffing a baby in a bag of holding." "Let's just set it-" "We aren't stuffing a baby in a bag of holding." "Just set it on fire." "We aren't stuffing a baby in a bag of holding."
