Yes. I don't think I've ever actually, really rage quit from a duel before, until now.

If I didn't draw Raigeki, I could have still drawn any of my three frightfur fusions to make FF Tiger, or one of my three Edge Imp Chains. In Chain's case I'd suicide it into Kali Yuga and get an FF Fusion that way. Use it to summon FF Leo in M2 and its effect destroys Kali Yuga and does half its ATK in dmg for game.

The other card in my hand was Toy Vendor. Even if you did destroy it immediately with Kali Yuga's detach, you can only do that once per turn, so I'd use the Toy Vendor grave effect to search Fluffal Bear, and discard it for another Toy Vendor. I had drawn Toy Vendor instead of Raigeki, then I'd discard it to search out Fluffal Dog. Then Fluffal Wings effect in grave lets me pop vendor, draw 2 and search 1, which gives me even more chances to get a card combo that would let me summon FF Tiger or FF Leo for the win.

...point is, Raigeki was a small boost in my favour.

Oh also, if Raigeki wasn't in my deck, what would I have in its place? Maybe Fusion Conscription? That's an immediate Edge Imp Chain, still would have let me win. Dark Hole? A Fluffal for fusion fodder? I agree that Raigeki feels cheap when used against you, which is fair grounds for it being banned for being "anti-fun" (although I'd think stall decks should go first there), but I don't like the idea that "I only won because I had Raigeki". That's insulting the rest of the deck. Fluffal Cat doesn't like being insulted.

Raigeki is more than "cheap". It's an instant hail merry that can destroy even some of the strongest monsters in the game. Topdecking Raigeki can literally be the deciding factor in a duel- meaning luck can trump skill. I finally understand what Golurk has been saying for like... Forever.

I wouldn't have been mad at all if you had won using Fluffal combos. Because that would be losing to your deck. Not a single card. Not luck.

I'm not banning Raigeki because it's "anti-fun". I'm banning it because it's completely luck based, takes no skill or anything to use, can be placed in any deck, and it can decide an entire duel if you can't counter it. Topdecking Raigeki at the last minute is just plain stupid.

Yes, there are multiple Duel Academies. There is a Duel Academy branch in every major city. Duel Academy Island is the largest and main branch of Duel Academy, essentially the HQ, and yes, all Duel Academies use the GX ranking system.
