.... I'll have you know, this has completely ruined my day. I'm going to bury my head in Skyrim and anime. Maybe go out to the park or mall. Something. But I'm not posting in anything today. Not in the mood to write. At least you don't have a paycheck you can't cash, made even worse by the fact that you really need the money and that was over 36 hours of your life you worked that you could have been using for school or visiting your father at the hospital. *sobs*

I do agree that Yancy and Joshua are the best developed couple. Because they've had literal years and multiple RP topics to be developed. But that doesn't make them automatically better than every couple under the Sun. If I ran a poll and asked people why Yancy and Joshua are a better couple than, say, Vincent and Elia, how many people do you think would actually be able to give me a real answer? I don't talk smack about your OTP, the least you could do is do the same.

Sorry Emppy. I'm not talking smack, I promise. That came out wrong.
I'm just pissed and upset that Vincent and Elia didn't even get mentioned, when they're a trillion times better than Pearl and Arc in every regard. And that isn't simply bias on my part. Kanis and Trail, at least, I can understand. UB has been on hiatus for a very long time and we haven't seen Trail and Kanis for a while in UB. And only like four or five people tops who voted have even read UB, and some of those people probably didn't even vote for that category. So I can understand why that didn't win. And Orion and Eden haven't had a chance to develop as a couple yet. So again, perfectly understandable. June and Paen is the same deal as Trail and Kanis.
But Vincent and Elia? If you've voted for Pearl and Arc, then you've obviously read Austur. And while Pearl and Arc are good characters in their own right, they've had very minimal development as a couple so far, and 30 pages of sex, which only happened because I was deployed and Cheese didn't want to upset SM by modding him. That's it. That's literally it. And neither Pearl nor Arc have done anything together in episode 2. I'm not saying Pearl and Arc won't become a good couple.
But how in the blazing hell could anyone think they're a better couple than Vincent and Elia?

Neo. I strongly suggest you go back to your plan of anime and Skyrim. Because you're clearly upset and you're lashing out, saying things you really shouldn't be. Like knocking Emmpy when even you admit you weren't trying to.
The awards are supposed to be a fun little thing. But if they're going to make people upset and cause a lot of bad blood, maybe we just shouldn't have any more.

None of my anime sites are working properly. I can't play Skyrim because I have to go take a family member to the grocery store. Yes, I'm upset. You're damn right I am. But I'm not lashing out with nonsense. I'm saying how it is. Everyone voted for Joshua and Yancy, and then no one voted for the same thing for their second vote, save maybe a couple people. But that's not what upsets me.
The only way, the only way I can see at least three people voting for Pearl and Arc over all the other choices is because they weren't taking the second vote seriously, and voted for Pearl and Arc soley because of the infamous 30 pages, like they were voting for a joke option.
Are you telling me a JOKE is better than a character, and a couple, I've poured my heart and soul into?

A joke was voted on more by a couple of people on an internet forum in a category labelled "best romantic couple".
There's a difference.

Okay, everybody stop it now or I'll start modding people. You all need to let this go.

.... So I'm a sore loser now? Not a [ilsingle[/I] one of you understands a damn thing. You clearly can't even comprehend why I'm so upset, and you clearly don't care. Instead of trying to understand why I'm so upset, you call me a "sore loser", or ignore me, or tell me it's not a big deal, or go do something else, or tell me to let it go.
This brings me back to what I said in a PM to Crow a couple days ago. Not a damn one of you ever tries to understand me. So screw it. You guys clearly have a different meaning of friendship than I do. Next time you want my help in anything, ask yourselves when the last time you ever even asked how my day was. You have absolutely no idea how hurt I am right now.
But I'm done. I'll drop the subject.

None of my characters really won anything (Rocangus for his name maybe...) so I'm trying to think of the best way for someone LMGG related to accept awards for their story.

June climbs onto the stage, still wearing the spring-green dress from the garden. Small streaks of dirt are visible right at kneecap-level where it's clear some mud was recently wiped off.
"Um... Hello, everyone!" she announces. "I'm not... really sure what to say. This a a huge surprise, and a big honor. Er... I want to thank all of you who helped contribute to making me, and all of those that helped guide me through all of that... Risen... stuff."
June pauses, unsure how to continue. "I... see several of you here tonight are also participating in Oz. I look forward to spending more time with you in the future!"
She waves for a few moments, then returns to her seat.

A weary Joshua inputted the code on the keypad to unlock the door to his room, stifling a yawn as he passed through. The first things he noticed were the presence of the large beasts that are Golurk and Ursaring in his room, which tipped him off that he spent more time than he thought he did in the meeting, for their presence meant Yancy had returned from her late shift in the medical wing. Sure enough, she was standing by the table, already changed out of uniform into her casual clothes. She was apparently inspecting what appeared to be a gold trophy of sorts when he came in, which she hastily put down as she held something behind her back.
"J-Joshua!" she exclaimed. "You're back!"
"I had a meeting that went on far longer than it needed to," replied Joshua. He briefly stopped to allow his Pokemon to be sent out of their Pokeballs for freedom. They immediately began stretching (save for Grinn and Rotom who don't really have muscles to loosen) and making an attempt to perk themselves up, clearly drained from the long and dull meeting. "Sorry for not telling you in advance," he continued as he walked over to her, "I didn't think it would take so long. So... what's the story with that thing?"
Yancy fidgeted and was about to speak when she realized he was talking about the apparent trophy on the table. It was a wooden plate with a plaque that read "CYOA-Verse Awards - Best Romantic Couple", and a golden statue of a Pokeball with a design clearly inspired by a Love Ball. "I really don't know," she answered. "The receptionist said that 'some weirdo redhead show hostess with a mic' suddenly came in and demanded that I see her to take the award until security was called and she was kicked out. She left the trophy behind, so the receptionist just held onto it and gave it to me before I left for the night."
Joshua read the plaque. "...I have so many questions about this, I don't even know where to begin."
"Me too," said Yancy. "I don't even remember signing up for anything, and can't imagine how the award was even decided in the first place. It's probably better if we don't think about it."
Joshua scowled. "Easier said than done."
"A-Anyway," said Yancy, "enough about that. I, umm... I brought these."
Yancy revealed the box she was holding behind her back. She opened the lid to reveal the contents: small, heart shaped chocolates filled the box. Freshly imported from Unova.
Joshua smiled at the sweet candies shown to him. He recalled that she once wrote a song about the very same treats in her idol days, and how they supposedly brought good fortune and prosperity to couples who shared them. "Sweet Hearts?"
"Mmm-hmm!" said Yancy, a slight flush coming to her cheeks. "Would you... like to share them with me before we go to bed? You've done so much for me, but since I'm always working, I haven't had much of a chance to repay you for it. It's the least I can do."
"You don't owe me anything, nor should you feel like you do," said Joshua. "...That being said," he placed his hands on her shoulders to look directly at her beautiful blue eyes, still possessing a warm smile. "I'd love to share them with you."
Yancy gave a bashful giggle. "Okay. Here's to us!"
And just like that, the mysterious award they apparently won was already out of their minds.
