He went berserk and nearly killed Thanatos, but lost most of the feeling and use of his right arm, which weakened him considerably. He wandered for some time before he was found by Emperor Garm, who took him in and gave him a new life and purpose. He later fell in love and married again. A chivalrous man and a champion of the just who believes quarrels are better solved with words. He also has a very strong love for board games.

Instead, he joined Athlantia's city guard, and was assigned to be a traveling guard, or a "Sheriff" of sorts. He was a bright and idealistic lad, but he spent a long time traveling during the early years of his career, and it changed him. He came back an entirely different person, solemn and foreboding, with a different name and a young wife. He has told no one what happened to him or what he saw that changed him so, save for his wife, whom he loves above all else.

The sisters created their own mercenary group after that, which quickly grew and spread across the land. However, for reasons known only to her, Celia betrayed her own group to the local authorities, who viewed them as little more than bandits. The Black Tigers were disbanded, and Karen spent some time in jail, where she met the man who would become her husband. Her sister, Celia, disappeared.
