I'm trying, I really am, but right now I can't be sure I won't be called back to deal with the IV in the middle of a hunt.  It's alright. I understand. I also know it's getting late... Could we hunt tomorrow? Maybe? I can. |

So they banned Norden because of people abusing Instant Fusion, despite Instant Fusion being the reason it's broken (and it's hardly used elsewhere) because it has otherwise fairly difficult summoning conditions, unbanned CED, and shifted Honest to unlimited.
Why?

For reference, this is a bit outdated, but it shows the difference between previous OC and TCG banlists. Morphing Jars, Solemn Judgement, Heavy Storm, Monster Reborn, and Stratos were never banned in OCG, and always had Bottomless at 2. ygorganization.com/ocg-vs-tcg-forbidden-lists/So they banned Norden because of people abusing Instant Fusion, despite Instant Fusion being the reason it's broken (and it's hardly used elsewhere) because it has otherwise fairly difficult summoning conditions, unbanned CED, and shifted Honest to unlimited. Seriously, Stratos doesn't even touch CED. Stratos can destroy only trap and spell cards once per turn, and its limited by how many monsters you have out. CED can be easily special summoned without other card effects, wipes the entire field and hands, deals damage to your opponent based on how many cards were destroyed (at least 3000 damage on average), and can still attack with 3000 ATK points. Sure, you can't activate other card effects that turn, but who needs to? It's not like your opponent has anything that they can play unless they topdeck really well. Sure, its summon can be prevented, but that's what Dark Bribe, Divine Punishment, Solemn Vow, and other cards are for. Plus, it's the only card that's actually banned in-universe. It's Judgment Dragon on crack except even easier to special summon. |

That's just messed up.
I mean, the TCG banlist is a little excessive sometimes (Mind Master, etc.), but at least they were on top of things with Solemn Judgment and stuff.
But at least the OCG finally limited Deep Sea Diva.

I just realized that they decided to make Traptrix Rafflesia (generic rank 4, detach to play any trap hole from your deck), and then in the banlist immediately after they made Bottomless Trap Hole unlimited.
