Welcome to the first (annual?) CYOA-verse awards. Here is how it will work:
For the first week,up until September 7, I will take nominations for each of the award categories. You will all PM me your nominations and I will handle the rest. This way you don't influence each other, and I've already got my nominations chosen.
Anything on the Verse is qualified for nomination, even if it is dead or has barely started, but it has to be at least partially on the Verse. You can nominate up to two entries per category, and you do not have to nominate for every category if you don't want to. You are allowed to nominate an entry you wrote.
Here's the tricky part. If three or more entries are nominated twice or more in one category, then only entries with two or more nominations will move on to voting. Basically, this thins the field. If there are a few entries nominated multiple times, only those advance. But if everyone picks something different, then there's no choice but to let them all in.
I'll let you know about voting later, since that's still a week away. It will be done through a google survey though, that much I know for sure.

Best CYOA
Best RP
Best Original Character
Best Adapted Character
Best Original Setting
Best Adapted Setting
Best Character Name
Best Romantic Couple - please nominate the two names of the couple members.
Best Writing Style - this includes, but is not limited to, how well a certain kind of narration is used. Please nominate a specific writer in a specific story, and if necessary the character or circumstances this style is associated with.
Best Story Arc - this refers to a long term chapter ocurring in a story.
Best Moment - this is defined as the best or most memorable event ocurring in a story. It could be a defining moment,or one that changes everything, or one that is just fantastically written. Please adequately describe or provide a link to the post(s) in the nomination.
Best Fight Scene - please provide a link to the post(s) in the nomination.
Best Weapon or Power Design - if it is not obvious that your nomination is a weapon/power, please justify it in your nomination.
Best use of Multimedia - this is for the best enhancement of a story through a medium other than text. This includes the use of different fonts or text styles, illustration, or music links such as character theme songs.
Note: an Original Character/Setting is one not meant to be a specific already existing character/setting. As different as Nova Arceus is, that is not an Original Character as it is an interpretation of Arceus. Youngster Joanna is an Original Character though, since she is not an existing character, even though she references one. As for settings, if the story takes place in an already existing franchise, it is not original. Naturally, any character from an original setting is an original character.
