I already told you the reason, Fen-Fen. When a Laguz lies with a human, that Laguz loses his or her powers. If you want to know the full story reason, just look up Sephy's backstory. So basically, the Branded Don't get any unique abilities because of this? They are just enhanced beorc, then? FUDGE. I have a Branded in my story the gift of a foreseer! I need a story reason and fast if they have no special powers! Damn you brain for dying on me!

So, thanks to Fennie's link, I read that non-royal herons have blue or brown wings. Can someone confirm that, since I can't trust everything on a wiki? If so, I'll start thinking about my character. I have never heard that before. In the games, the only living Herons are Royal, so their wings are white. I remember it being mentioned in-game that normal Herons did have different colored wings, but I don't think it mentioned what that color was.

I should probably remember that particular Heron, shouldn't I?

Hey, for the class lists, some of the skills don't show up on the wiki, or some skills don't match up with the classes themselves (like Silver Knights not getting Sol; Bonded, Dedicated, and Courage not being actual skills on the wiki; or no one having Canto).

How the balls would Canto work in a non-FE-gameplay setting, first of all?

We're using the class list I made for AoD. Check the link in the character form pist.

Ok one question. What's a laguz? Sub-human scum.

A laguz is like a cross between a human and an animal. In their "human" form, they have only slight differences from a normal human - cat ears, a tail, and whiskers, say - and are about as strong as an unarmed human, though with elevated senses. Most don't use weapons bigger than knives. They can, in short bursts, assume an animal form with a massive strength boosts.
Herons are a bit special, though. And taguel aren't technically laguz, but for the RP's sake, just treat them as bunny laguz.

Laguz aren't as inventive or as clever as humans though.

Laguz aren't as inventive or as clever as humans though. Why not? Also, do all the species of laguz get along then? Are they even a species or a nation or just a category? Do they refer to themselves as laguz?

I thought Laguz didn't like beorc weapons and thought it was more natural to use their claws and such in battle? Isn't Lethe the only one that trains with them, and that's by Ike?
On another note, they can't stay in animal form for too long. It wears them out. But how do we explain this for the kings and queens of the tribes? They can stay indefinitely. Special artifact like in the games?

Do they refer to themselves as laguz? "Plot reasons" But they weren't created to be as smart as humans and have an innate disposition against magic and weaponry.

White, black, or brown would be my opinion, GX. Fen-Fen, the "special artifact" in game only existed for gameplay reasons. And the Royal Bands were removed in RD anyway, in favor of a teachable skill, which is more accurate. All Laguz can potentially stay in their respective animal form indefinitely, but they risk losing their human half if they do. It's not because staying in that form tires them. However, Laguz can learn to stay in their animal forms. It's just extremely difficult, takes a very long time, and the exact method of doing so is kept secret by the Royals. Ashunera blood helps, but isn't necessary.

Do they refer to themselves as laguz? In the inspiration material... The wolves are from an isolated country across the desert and they don't say much about it. Cats and tigers share a country. They eventually develop OK ties with some of the beorc (human) countries and hawks. Hawks are their own nation. They hate crows. Crows are filthy pirates that don't get along with anyone except herons. Dragons are Switzerland. Herons are near-extinct after their home was destroyed. Literally everyone that can tolerate laguz loves them. Still haven't decided how it'll be in the RP. Leaning towards their own nations for everywhere but Solgen. And yes, they call themselves laguz. Beorc usually call themselves human.
