Light leather armour, some have swords, others have spears. Training wise they are near the bottom of the military pool, Damian not wanting to immediatley crush us, contrary to what the captain says.
Related, I kinda want James to use a spear, because then we have all the basic weapon types covered.

On the one hand, Gaddess (a mech that uses a spear and water) is really awesome, so I at least would have some inspiration to draw on. On the other hand, half of Gaddess' stuff involves ice and/or wolves. And in that same hand, I already said Terra doesn't know how to use weapons. And back to the first hand, a spear's not exactly rocket science. Poke 'em with the pointy bit.
But I still haven't, in all the writing I've done, gotten to do a martial artist. Which is like... my wheelhouse. Yeah, I've trained a bit with a bunch of other stuff, but...
