"Terra," Terra answers. "So, are you going to tell me your name? Or should I just call you Handsome?" She slips Oliver a taunting glance.

He just smiled and shook his head. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
As he said it he could feel how cliche he sounded and cringed slightly. It was something that the typical bad guy would have said if asked the same question. He probably picked it up from a book he had read.
"It's mostly just research for an expedition I've been planning. Something to keep myself and my friends busy."

"You can call me that if you want, but my name's James."He said somewhat shyly. He wanted to continue reading, but wasn't particularly sure how to convey that message. He decided to try a different approach. "Don't worry though,I won't try picking you up like mister smooth over there."James said. He hoped it sounded playful, and not awkward.

"James it is, then," Terra says. "Now, James, I could flirt with you all day, but I need to get this book read. If you'll excuse me..."
Terra reclaims her seat, returning to her book.

James is happy that she did that. Now he can do the same politely. He returns to his seat and tries to find his place. He does and starts where he left off, still he can't tune out the noise of conversation beside him. He vuries himself in the book.

Marianne arched her eyebrows. "You're an adventurer or researcher? Perhaps treasure hunter? Heh. Heed some hired steel? Me and my mercenaries operate at a low rate." She offered.

He chuckled slightly before realizing that's probably rude. "Mercs working for raiders, seems kind of like an odd combination. How about this, instead of your group working for us, we work together?"
He smiled slightly and turned back towards the table to let her mull it over.

Marianne debated this. "That depends if we're still getting paid handsomely for it. What are you looking for? How much is it worth? I'm asking that sort of stuff. The Black Eagle Mercenaries don't exactly do dead end jobs." She remarked casually, leaning her chair back lightly.

"So far it seems that I'm just chasing a myth. From the pieces I have read it would set you up for quite some time." Roland opened the torn book again and found his place. The book was based on the legend and was somewhat grounded in fact.
"This book tells a story of a group who used hidden riddles to find the treasures location, but these riddles are something only a few can actually find. From the other things I've found, those riddles are hidden in this library." He sighed sitting the book and shaking his head.

Oliver gets up from his chair. The klutz had gone up a couple of floors. " Maybe I can still talk to her." He thinks.
Sighing, he places his hand over his forehead dramatically. "Ah, but to know there are more players in the game, and those who know it. What misfortune." He winks at Terra and begins to walk.

Terra rolls her eyes as soon as Sir Fancypants turns his back. "What's that even supposed to mean," she mutters under her breath.

Too Noisy Mors, finally bothered enough by the sudden presence of the others, decides to get a new book to kill time with. He sets his current book down; it's still open on a descriptive murder page. Leaving with the same notability as before, he walks into the mystery section to scout for a new book by the same author. He still had an hour to wait, so he wanted to pick a shorter one. Not that it really mattered to him.

"Riddles and treasure, eh?" Marianne made a face. "Well, I suppose the treasure will be worth it. What are the items?"

He shrugged "That's something I have yet to find out. Like most legends it supposedly holds untold riches and weapons that have some sort of power."
Roland yawned slightly, getting a bit bored with just sitting around.

Marianne mulled over this prospect. It wouldn't hurt to line her pockets some more, and perhaps get a longtime partnership in case this guy needed more expeditions done.
"What's your name?" She asked crudely.

"Roland, Roland Teeg." He responded as he stood and stretched trying to wake himself back up.
He offered her his hand and smiled, "I'm needing to go find another book, and maybe speed this process along. Care to come with me. Miss..?" Almost immediately after he said that he realized he hadn't asked her name in return. Silently he chastised himself but still left his hand offered.

Huh. Someone that hadn't asked her name. Marianne wasn't sure if he manners or not, but it was a refreshing change from when she was in Keren.
She took his hand and smiled. "I guess I'll introduce myself. Marianne. Just Marianne."

"Rather pretty name for someone who leads a bad of mercs. Though considering how successful they are I'm not surprised after meeting their leader." He said trying to not come off as quite as rude.
He set the old book down on an empty side table and started skimming through the books on the shelf.

Quelthalas walks briskly through the library, scanning the aisles of books for the poetry section. He bumps rather abrublty into a table and looks down, he see's a book laid open, seems to be some kind of who done it mystery novel. Slightly intrigued he flips through the pages before becoming bored. "Who would want to read something like this, so easilly predictable" he mutters half silently to himself.

Marianne simply gave a playful smile. "Thank you. It is a good name, and I'm rather fond of it. " She answered. She headed over to put her previous books back, figuring she wouldn't have a use of them now since she wasn't in the mood anymore.
