The library is home to a million books, all catalogued by genre, barring non-fiction, which of course goes by the Dewey-Louie system, a system of intricate numbers relating to the subject matter, and coloured stickers based on their difficulty to understand. Because of the sheer volume of books, the library is easily seven stories high.
On the second floor, a dazzling man in a white coat is leaning against a bookshelf, talking to a lady. He keeps gesturing to some papers in his hand as he talks. "So you know, I'm pretty talented. This of course being some proof of that. I mean, look, it's got a red sticker on it."
The lady he's talking to giggles, trailing her fingers across his blue shirt. "But oh, how do I know you aren't playing me for a fool? Can you even play the scales?"
A chuckle emits from the man, light and soft. "Of course! But alas, this is a library you know."
The lady huffs, dissapointed that he wouldn't play, and turns away.
"Hey now, the cold shoulder? All different kinds of wrong!"
"Hmpf! What kind of musician doesn't play on demand?" She says, walking away.
"Maybe one that has respect for society?" The man says with a sigh. Shrugging his shoulders, he turns and begins to peruse more of the musical section. Finally satisfied with what he finds, he walks his way to the checkout.
"Ah, Oliver! Here to check out the sheets?"
"Yup! Of course, I'll be reading over these first." Oliver says.
"Not a problem! Just get them back on time!"
"Mm-hm." Oliver says, turning and walking to the middle of the library. A nice little reading area was set up, comfortably fitting at least twelve people. With a sigh, he sits down and begins to go over the sheets.

He practcally always swaggered instead of a normal walk. The girls loved it. He,however, never did so when coming here.
He stepped into the library and nodded to the librarian, displaying the very definition of a gentleman.
He acted cool. Because he was. Cool as ice.
He walked past some cute girls, whom tried to chat him up,but ignored them. He knew where it was. He took the book out of the shelf. He had considered sometimes asking if he could buy the novel. Although he was sure the librarian would let him,het never did. The ritual consisted of more than just reading it. Coming here,to this sacred place, was apart of this ritual.
For a long time he'd wept. That was when he was a child. Later, he decided to read the book. Her favorite. It somehow made him feel close to her. Like she was still here.
At first,he did it almost monthly. Then his pace slowed as he grew. It became a yearly thing by the age of 17. Now, he was here. Most wouldn't have done this. But he did. He had to.
He walked with book in hand to his usual quit corner of the library where lay a lone seat. He stopped whenhe realized it was occupied. This hadn't ocurred in a long time, and this seat had felt like another sacred place for him.
He sighed. He scoured the library for a lonesome place. The best he could find was a barely occupied table for 12. He gupled somewhat shyly and asked,"Excuse me,but do you mind if I sit here?" To the man reading a book on music. [/b][/font]

Terra waltzes into the library, brushing past anyone in her way. She's on a mission of great importance. A mission to find out what kind of wheat would make the best flour for sweetcakes. A mission to learn where it grows best, how it can be obtained, average prices, method of preparation. A mission that she will not be deterred from.
Fortunately, the library's reference section is sizable and well-stocked. After a few moments of perusing the selection, she grabs three promising-looking tomes. She explores the library for a bit, looking for a good, quiet place to sit and study.
The best she can find is a 12-person table that's still relatively empty. A pair of young men are talking on one end. One looks like a total fop, and the other's obviously a playboy. One's asking for the other's permission to take a seat. Whatever. Terra regards them dispassionately as she pulls out the most isolated chair she can grab, dropping the books on the table.
"Mm," she grunts towards them as she pulls open one of the books.

Marianne strolled into the library, rubbing her tired, yet alert eyes. The bluette saw three others there: two men; one woman. The mercenary rolled her eyes to the shelves, a playful smirk on her face. She stepped over and pulled out two, one on playwriting; the other on horseback riding. She was trying to pick that up.
Her smirk eventually faded as she adopted a serious expression. She took a seat at the table and placed both feet, and yes, BOTH feet on top of the table, and reclined. She relaxed in her more comfortable position. It wasn't a good position from a proper lady, but she was far from home.
Home... The very thought of it burned a bit of anger in her. She'd killed that emperor if it was the last thing she ever did, but she wasn't stupid to challenge him or ally with any of the rebellions. If anything, the war would give her more profit. Not a bad thing either.
She opened the horseback book first and began to read.

Roland idly strolled throughout the library's second floor, looking for anything that contained information about the treasure the legends had told of. This, of course, was incredibly difficult.
"Thiry-eight books on how to cook an eggplant, but nothing seeming anywhere close to what I'm looking for."
He sighed and walked off to the next group of shelves. This one he hoped would have better information than the ones before.
As he flipped through the books he could hear a few of the others wandering around, doing whatever they were there for. A couple seemed to be having some idle chitchat and others were reading.
After looking through a few more shelves he found.something that looked a little promising and decided to join the others at the big table on the first floor.
"I can't believe I let those idiots talk me into this." He mumbled this as he found a vacant chair and sat down burrying his nose into the book.

Oliver looks up at the man asking him a question. "Hm? But of course. There are several seats available, after all! And hey, the more the mer..." He trails off as he spots Terra. True, she wasn't exactly in a dignified position, but Ollie wasn't complaining. He gets up out of the current chair and plops down next to her.
"Ah, what an even lovlier flower!" Oliver says, picking a flower from the centerpiece and offering it to her. He winks at her. "Just for you! Tell me, what brings you here?" He asks.
Maryann and Roland are sitting next to each other through sheer coincidence. Also through coincidence, a walking by patron bumps the chair by accident, knocking her into his book. She doesn't acknowledge either of them, dusting herself off and carriying on her way.

"My, just for me?" Terra asks, accepting the flower and slipping it behind her ear. "Thank you, good Sir Fancy Pants."
Terra leans back, propping her feet up and mirroring the other woman. Well, mirroring her pose just before she for knocked over. "I came to the library to pretend to read about wheat while secretly waiting for some young gallant to sweep me off my feet."

Marianne felt the tilt, and she also felt herself being thrown to the right, tumbling into the man right next to her. She smashed face-first into his book before catching herself and expertedly landing behind his chair rather than his lap.
Her eyes zeroed in angrily on the patron. She muttered a few sailory words.

Jamws nods and sits down quietly. James tries to block out the noisy shenanigans whilst turning past the title page. He begins reading when he hears one of the girls fall from their pose. He is not good at this. He could say something, but that would be rude. He had to debate the coolness of this action. He decided against it and continued reading. The man had begun a conversation with one of the girls. It sounded like it was going in a direction he didn't like. He would only step in if necessary, for now, he attempted to get past the first chapter

Roland was half dozing when he felt the woman next to him smash into his book. This, of course, jolted him back to fully awake.
He noticed that the woman had already fixed herself, and was muttering what sounded to be death threats under her breath. He slid his chair around slightly to get a better look at her.
"You alright? It looked like that hurt."
He held the book up a little watching a few of the pages fall out. He smirked slightly and shook his head.
"Well there goes the chances with this book."

Oliver gives off a dazzling smile, not seeming to notice the biting sarcasm in Terra's voice. "Then allow me, my fair maiden! I shall sweep you off your feet so hard that the wheat you're reading about shan't touch a delicate lady like yourself ever again!"
Meanwhile, the klutz circles around, this time accidentally knocking James into Terra before Oliver could react. Yet again she dusts herself off and resumes walking, this time going up the stairs.
"Whoa hey buddy!" Oliver says, pulling James off. "You both alright?"

James didn't see it coming. It was so uncool.
He got up quickly. "I'm cool."He looked at Terra and offered his hand to her. "Sorry about that."He is abit saddened that he'd probably lost his place. But the rules of cool dictated helping the girl up.
He looked into her eyes. She was pretty. He wouldn't try it though, considering she had already been hit on a few moments prior.

"Who, me?" Marianne asked with a playful smile. "I was just trying to lean over to catch a glimpse at the shelf over there. Seems like I fail over. Sorry about your book."

"Hey!" Terra yells after the woman. "If you knock someone over, you stop and ****ing apologize, you ill-mannered piece of- Oh, thank you." She calmly thanks James as she accepts his hand. When he pulls her up, she turns and continues yelling after the woman as she disappears up the stairs. "Yeah, you better keep walking, or I'll take these books an-n-n-n-nd she's gone. Hmph, the nerve of some people. What a crass, boorish young woman."

"It could've been an accident. Anyways are you okay?"James said casually.

"Accident or not, apologizing is simply proper etiquette," Terra insists. "Anyway, I'm fine. And yourself?"

He shrugged not really caring about it. Finally Roland just set the book down and sat back in his chair gesturing to her previous seat.
"It's perfectly alright, so what brought you to this place of knowledge?" He was tempted to call it all useless but that would tempt fate and mean he wouldn't find his clues.

Marianne resumed her previous position in her seat, placing her feet back on the table. "Just focusing on plays and such in my free time. What about you?"

Oliver rolls his eyes out of sight and lets the pairs converse. After all, he may be a playboy, but he wasn't rude.

"Fair enough.Don't worry about me,though."James gives a compassionate smile. "So,What's you name?"James asks, trying to be polite. Crashing into someone without knowing their name would be kinda weird.
