"Just a moment dears," Zalia called out over her shoulder. "I'll be finished soon."
Orion arched a single eyebrow at her, but before he could even react, Zalia suddenly threw his arm down without any warning, abruptly ending the contest. Orion simply blinked at her in disbelief, as the Guild fell silent.
Zalia slammed her drink down, and stood up, stretching. The magic bouncing across the walls abruptly disappeared. And then everyone burst into laughter. Orion merely shook his head and sighed as he finished his drink.
Zalia watched Eden take charge, smiling, seeing no reason to intervene.

"Ah, yes!" Leone answered hastily, surprised at the pleasant greeting after the... rest of the first impression. "We were hired to escort Mrs. Marian Vallast from Harborshore Town. We completed our mission, and our ship home doesn't leave until 6, so we thought we should do some sight-seeing and come say hello." Leone extends a hand. "Leone Vallast - no relation to the company, of course. Pleased to meet you."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--"
Such were the sounds of each of the battle's warriors' heartfelt battle cries as all hell broke loose. Eventually, however, the number of individual screaming at the top of their lungs dropped from five, to four, to three. Despite this, their cries have not relented, nor have any of them stopped for breath-taking. They have shown no clear signs of stopping.
Gareth side-stepped the flail's spiky head that came crashing down where he was standing a few seconds ago. He reached out with his free hand and pressed the palm of his hand against the metal head. It began to glow a slight orange before Gareth rolled away and the ball exploded in an exaggerated manner. Now that the polar bear with the flail was defenseless, Gareth charged at it as he began to channel his magic through his blade. Upon nearing the bear, Gareth leapt up and brought down his blade down directly to the polar bear. As it connected, Gareth activated his magic, causing a great eruption of flame from his blade to detonate in front of him. Under normal circumstances, he would declare "Phalanx Eruption" as he performed this attack. This time, however, he was too busy screaming.
The mountainside rumbled in response to the giant explosion as an avalanche began to descend from above. Gareth turned to face the only remaining bear that remained. It was even larger than its cohorts, and it had a great number of battle scars around its body. Furthermore, it was missing a right arm. Instead, it was replaced by the chainsaw seemingly made of solid gold that was its weapon of choice.
Both still screaming and neither of them paying any mind to the avalanche that would undoubtedly consume them should they remain where they were, the bear charged at Gareth as he held his blade up to guard against the bear's chainsaw.
Gareth stirred slightly in his sleep again.

Hecate narrowed her eyes at Leone's introduction for a split second, but otherwise said nothing as she sized the people in the guild up. She was actually looking for an opponent strong enough to give her a challenge.
Atticus... Was up to his usual, scanning the area for any interesting women. Clearly, he saw none as he went to stuffing his hands in his pockets and pursing his lips in thought.
Aldous was a little more respectable, sliding out of the way of the door to lean on a wall not too far from his twin. He seemed to be lost in thought as well, but figured he'd introduce himself when the time came.

"I'm Eden. Now, would any of the rest of the group like to introduce themselves, or would you like me to introduce some of out wizards first?"
Those three aren't very talkative, obviously.

"I'm Ag-Hecate." Hecate answered. She cursed herself for her slip up. It had been awhile since she had used that name, or rather, discarded it. She placed on a friendly smile that she didn't really feel at the moment, but offered out of necessity.
Aldous, of course, removed himself from the wall, hoping to regain his normal sense of attitude. "Aldous. A pleasure to meet you,"He greeted before pointing towards Atticus. "And this is my twin, Atticus. It's a headache trying to tell which of us is older." He explained.

"I'm Orion," he said friendly, smiling, as he walked up beside Eden and extended his hand. "Orion Farsong. Sorry about the, uh... chaotic first impression."
He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. "We can get a little carried away at times. But it's a pleasure to meet you."
Orion motioned to Zalia, and the other Wizards kicking back at the tables. "The woman who kicked my behind in arm wrestling is Silver Chimera's Guildmaster, Zalia. The young woman who greeted you when you first walked in is the Guild's third-in-command, the Dragon Slayer Velia. Next to her is the Guild's psychic, Cenric, and our resident magician, Lucian. The mountain behind the bar is known as Rhys, and the young man in the corner is our newest member, Grigori. One of our other new members is currently upstairs, and we have a few members out on jobs. If you'd like, one of us can show you around town. We may still be recovering, but there's still plenty to see."

"A pleasure, Mr. Farsong." Leone accepts his hand. "I would love an escort around town. Locals always know the most fascinating places! Though, I can't speak for the others. If I had to guess, Ag-Hecate probably has... other designs..." Leone eyes the other dragon slayer uneasily.
"This may not end well," she thinks to herself.

Hecate's eyes snapped to Velia eerily. The word Dragon Slayer caught her attention. So, there was a guild out there with someone like her? And for that matter, how many other guilds had Dragon Slayers?
"I'll have to pass this time around, Leone." Hecate said stiffly. She walked over to Velia. "Are you the Dragon Slayer of this guild? I'm Hecate, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Pardon if this is forward, but I'd like to duel you." Her tone was almost grave—deathly so. As usual when she felt a good challenge, Hecate felt her breathing speed up.
There was nothing more thrilling than a challenge. Especially one that threatened to wipe the floor with her, pushing her to her limits. She was aware she hadn't yet recovered to peak condition, but that was fine. ----- "Oh dear..." Atticus trailed off as he watched Hecate focus solely on Velia. He tossed a look at Aldous. "I'm pretty sure we should stop her, you know?"
Aldous smirked. "You know how Hecate gets when she sees an interesting opponent. At this point, I think she'd punch someone through the wall if they stopped her before this... Velia gave her a response. And think of it, two Dragon Slayers fighting? I admit I'm a little curious as to how it would turn out."

Velia casually looked up from her seat at the young woman standing over her, raising a single eyebrow. "An Iron Dragon, huh? Do you challenge everyone you meet? That's a dangerous habit. Eventually, you're going to challenge someone who's far beyond your level. But alright. I'll give you a match. Not here though. The town has suffered enough. We can have our match up on the hill, away from town."
Orion hesitated as he looked back and forth between Hecate and Velia. Then he looked over at Zalia, who merely shook her head. The two exchanged a knowing look and Orion turned to Leone.
"You'll have to forgive me, Miss Leone. I meant to show you around myself, but It seems I'll have to pass that duty onto someone else. Since I can use healing magic, and I'm one of the only ones who could stop a fight between two Dragon Slayers, it appears I'm needed as referee. Besides, since this is my fault, it's only right I take responsibility, wouldn't you say?"
He turned to Eden, and he visibly softened. "Why don't you and Cenric give our two guests the tour around town?"
A deep hidden message flashed in Orion's icy blue eyes, a message for Eden, something he knew she would understand. As he looked down into her eyes, it was like they were speaking silently to each other. It was a telepathy based on understanding, not magic.
I don't want you to be alone with Wizards we don't know, not after everything that's happened. Bring Cenric so he can teleport you home if anything happens. I know I seem paranoid, but please Eden... Just so I don't worry, alright?

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--"
Following a fierce battle that troubadours would make songs out of, Gareth finally landed a clean slash on the polar bear. He raised the bear's severed head in the air in triumph. Possibly due to the fact that he didn't even notice he was still doing it, the battle's end did not stop his screaming.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH--"
His scream turned from a war cry to a scream of terror as he turned and saw the avalanche seconds before it engulfed him.
Back in the real world, Gareth's eyes sprang open from his nap. He sat up rubbing his eyes before shivering slightly and rubbing his arms in response.
Is it cold in here all of a sudden, or is it just me?

"Oh, think nothing of it, Mr. Farsong. I'm sure Eden and Cenric will do a wonderful job," Leone assures him. She steps in a bit closer so she won't be overheard. "And you can't take all the blame - I'm the one that suggested Hecate could find a sparring partner here. Just... make sure she comes back to us in one piece? She can get a bit... single-minded when she finds a strong opponent. And she spent most of this morning unconscious after she dove into the ocean trying to kill a kraken, so I doubt she's at one hundred percent."

"No, not really. I don't challenge every opponent I come across. In fact, I wouldn't have approached you if you weren't a Dragon Slayer. You seem to have identified me quickly... Am I right in assuming you're a Shadow Dragon? If I'm wrong, feel free to tell me," Hecate explained.
Then, she smiled. "I haven't met anyone with similar abilities until now. And it's a mark to tell me how much I need to improve. At least, that's why I challenged you just now, and I thank you for accepting. If you're willing to get stronger for your guild... To protect those that have given you a home... Then I'm sure you understand me, Velia. I wasn't quite strong enough to take care of a kraken not too long ago. It should have been simple, but it wasn't. Don't mistake my battelust for bloodlust, please."

"What about me?" Grigori asked Orion from afar. "I still need a tour as well."

"The more the merrier!" Leone suggests cheerfully.

Yeah, the more the merrier, but that doesn't mean Orion feels any better about this. I'm just getting more and more outnumbered.
"Well, shall we be going then?" Eden asked.

From the look on Orion's face, it was clear he didn't like the idea. He walked over to Cenric and subtly placed his hand on Cenric's shoulder. "Don't leave her side. No matter what. If anyone tries to lure either Eden or you away from each other, for any reason, no matter how small, you are to teleport her back here immediately. Understand?"
Cenric gave a subtle nod, signalling he heard the telepathic message loud and clear. Then Orion turned to Velia and her to-be-sparring partner. "Ready when you two are," he said friendly, forcing a smile.
Velia gave him a knowing look that seemed to say, "We won't be long."

Hecate noticed the shared looks. Somehow she got the feeling that this guild didnt trust them at all. But that was to be expected.
"So, are we going to go?"

"Yes, let's," Leone says to Eden, pretending not to notice the shift in the mood.
"I'm missing something here..." she thinks to herself. "Did I say something wrong? No, they're probably just still on-edge from the attack."

Resisting the urge to glance over at Eden, Orion nodded, and he and Velia lead the two Alicorn Wizards out into the city. They treked through the city and up onto the hill overlooking Rosebud. Velia eventually settled on a spot some ways away from Hillside Park, but still within eyesight of the park. Orion stepped away from the two Dragon Slayers, and once he was far enough away not to get caught in the fight but still close enough to intervene if necessary, he sat down on the grass and crossed his legs.
... Maybe I'm just overreacting. I just... Need to trust Cenric. And Eden too. She isn't helpless, and it's just a stroll through town. There's nothing to worry about.
Velia looked over at him, and Orion inclined his head to her. She then turned to Hecate. "Hecate... Was it? You may begin when ready."
