Turban looked up at Orion, his robes tattered and his turban removed. Bald on the top of his head, Aboleth Tentacle's sigil was clearly seen with the turban gone.
"Is that the best you got!?" The Sand Dragon Slayer shouted as the mock-dragon behind him collapsed, presumably having taken the brunt of the attack. "SAND DERVISH!"
Suddenly, the Slayer's fists extended into ludicrously long blades of shifting sand before two thin pillars appeared beneath his feet and launched him towards Orion as a bladed sphere of unbridled fury.
---
"Don't think that you're in control." Cowboy immediately aimed several more of the rifles at Cenric which then fired. "After all, instant transportation like that would consume far more magic power than a few guns. And anywhere you go, a bullet fires, and you can't risk teleporting quickly enough to dodge all of them, lest you teleport into a solid object and spill your guts everywhere. Stand down."
---
"All I have to do is outrun you." Grigori teased Eden as a mass of black dust materialized from his right hand and formed a disc underneath him that blocked the geyser. "Though there's nothing wrong with indulging in a little fight. Don't worry, I won't scratch you too badly."

I have to do something... Since offense isn't working and it's not really my style anyway, I'll swap to defense.
"Water Spirit's Mirrors," she said as she placed numerous bubbles in the area and retreated into their midst, the sheer number and placement of them obscuring her true location within the area. Using the time she had bought herself Eden began to divine, searching for a way she could turn the tides and retake the scepter.

"That's no fun, and fairly counter-intuitive." Grigori frowned beneath his mask as he hopped back a tree. "I mean, I could just run away, and then you'd take all the blame for it."

That's what you think. You have no idea what kind of insight I stand to gain...
"I can tell you're not one to give up the chase. You have a fascination with cat and mouse games, so you're not leaving. You would have done so already if you were in your right mind. But this is all just a game to you," Eden said, taking care to throw her voice.

"Perhaps, though the game is larger than you think, and at infinitely higher stakes." Grigori lowered himself from the tree with another rope of black dust. "I don't think anyone's even died in this skirmish, and the scepter itself isn't a treasure to me."
"If you're up for a game, then how about a quick brawl? It'd just be barehanded, no magic, no weapons." The jester leapt a bit closer to Eden. "I'm not licensed to kill you, and that wouldn't be much fun anyways. You're not high and mighty, nor greedy and corrupt. Good people aren't to be wasted."

"Who are you to decide what people are good and what people aren't?" she asked angrily as she drew her swords again and weaved through her field of bubbles, eventually phasing into ine far away from Grigori, knowing he would have trouble finding her, and even if he did he still couldn't easily break through the bubble from the outside since it wasn't frozen.

"Not at all," Orion shouted back mockingly, as he cast Borealis again and flew to meet the Dragon Slayer. His four spears of burning light materialized once more, and he easily avoided his opponent's initial charge and flew around to the Dragon Slayer's back, proving he was far faster than before.
"In fact, I'm not even using half of my full power. Though, I do commend you for surviving that attack. You're not a bad fighter. It's a shame I have to kill you."
Orion's spears spun around him, unleashing a circular shockwave in a 360 arc around him. He then rocketed higher into the sky before his opponent could counterattack. "How about a friendly game of cat and mouse, hmm? Tell me little dragon, how far can your sand carry you? If you can catch me, I might consider you a worthier opponent, and fight for real! Ignore me, and I just might turn my attention to your allies! Do you think that Sniper friend of yours could withstand my magic as well as you? After all, he's the only one keeping my friend Cenric occupied! Oh, but do hurry up! Our reinforcements will be here soon, and trust me, you don't want to be here when they arrive!"
His voice seemed to carry over the wind, even reaching the ears of those down below.
------
Cenric merely smiled as he vanished again. He reappeared on another tree branch, some distance away, but still in earshot of the Sniper. "I think you've gravely underestimated me, friend. And even worse, you've underestimated the real gravity of your situation. I don't even have to fight you; All I need to do is stall for time." His smile widened as he looked up at the sky. "And it seems your time is quickly running out."
------
Meanwhile, back at the remains of the forest path, a deep masculine voice spoke into Senna's radio. "Right," it said. "Your reinforcements are en route. And I will be arriving personally to deal with the issue."
Senna grinned. "Thank you, General Auron."

"Well, you don't seem too bad from the start, and you're not hostile, even if you are a bit manipulative." Grigori flipped over one of the bubbles, leaving a trail of sizzling white light from his left hand that evaporated parts of it, creating a cloud of steam. "There's no bloodlust, but a definite mean streak. It's almost nostalgic."
---
"People like you piss me off! Body Dispersion!" Turban yelled furiously as he scattered into a cloud of sand that spiraled upwards towards Orion.
The buzzing of the sand imitated speech as it became a series of torrents circling Orion.
"Reinforcements mean nothing!"
---
"Don't be too glad yet." Cowboy smiled as he adjusted his hat and looked at Orion briefly. "I don't need to touch my guns to fire them, and you don't have to dodge this one either."
A destructive boom cracked the air around Cenric as a hidden sniper rifle launched a slug directly towards the flying Devil Slayer.

"And people like you enrage me beyond all reason," Orion growls, his voice deep and guttural, almost demonic, a stark contrast to what it was before.
He abruptly stops midair, and his Magic Power suddenly skyrockets. "You know nothing!" He spits. "You treat life like it's some commodity to be bought and sold! You think you own everything and everyone in this world, and would destroy something so precious just for the sake of money! Lost Magic or no, you're just a dime a dozen thief! The fact you think you're anywhere even close to my league is proof of your ignorance! Allow me to open your eyes!!!"
Orion's spears suddenly stood straight up around him, just as a clearly recognizable boom thundered through the air. Orion scoffed as a pillar of burning light enveloped him, incinerating the bullet as it got close. "Pathetic," he said, directing the comment at both the Dragon and the Sniper. "You all disgust me."
Protected by the burning field around him, he casually finished the last of the water in his flask, and then looked up towards the beautiful moon high above him, and sucked his breath in sharply. The pillar of golden light flickered around him, intensifying briefly, then vanishing, revealing a renewed and stronger than ever Wizard... Although, floating high in the sky surrounded by an intense golden light, he hardly looked like a Wizard.
He charged the cloud of sand at a blinding speed, his spears forming a tornado of death around him, that scattered the sand and sent a blistering shockwave of scorching light in all directions, illuminating the clear night sky for miles.
-------
Cenric merely grinned as he leaned against the tree. "You clearly have no idea who you're dealing with, pal. We're Silver Chimera; And we're the last Guild in this world you want to mess with."
He made the shape of a gun with his hand and pointed it at the Sniper. "Bang," he said, and small piece of the tree shot at him, clipping the Sniper's cheek just enough to draw a drop of blood as it whizzed by him.

"N-... nostalgic?!" Eden said quietly, her shock and her clouded thoughts temporarily causing her to drop her guard.

"You assume too much!" Turban growled as the cloud of sand regrouped above Orion. "You are more blind than those you accuse of ignorance!"
Turban materialized again and tackled Orion, using his hands to create bindings of sand to shackle him in place.
---
"You're mistaken. Theere are those far more terrifying than you." Cowboy rubbed the blood off of his cheek before explaining something to Cenric. "You realize that these bullets travel upwards of 500 meters per second, right? It'd shatter your femur before you even heard it. Without any tell, you wouldn't be able to dodge, and you have about five or six automated guns trained on your location set to fire if you make any moves or activate your magic. I call this a High Stakes Gambit. If you teleport, the bullets rebound as well, so I'd advise against that as well."
---
"Like a slave and the one that he looked up to." Grigori looked a little pained as he boiled away another bubble. "They're both dead though."

What!? Just who are you...?
"I see. Maybe they've found peace at last. We can hope for that, at the very least," she said, but was unable to hide that she didn't believe it.

"Peace is boring." Grigori replied, trying to find Eden by the sound of her voice. "I learned that the hard way. Hiding is boring too. Could you come out and play a game with me?"

"I might, as long as the winner takes the scepter," she called, throwing her voice again before moving again, out of the bubble and towards the location where she had been when she summoned them originally since she knew the jester had moved from there to come find her.

"Fair enough." Grigori chuckled. "What's the game? Fisticuffs, fencing, a magic-fighting word that begins with 'F'?"

"Yes. And let's not waste any more time than we have to!"
Eden used a quick spell to turn all the bubbles into steam, clearing what would become their battlefield. She gripped her swords tightly and just waited for the steam to clear and the fight to start.

"Penumbra: Stardust Body." Grigori whispered before growing some sort of squid out of the black dust emanating from his right hand.
"Is this really a waste of time, sweet?" Grigori announced mockingly in order to disturb Eden.

"Oh, would you shut up and fight already!" Eden yelled, becoming quite angry for the first time on that mission. "Water Spirit's Deluge! Let's see how you handle floodwaters!"
