I could easily see Aquamancy being part of Water Magic, just as a skill that's not often known, taught or used. So, you could have Eden be a Water Mage who specializes in Divining via Aquamancy, and she could have a deck of Enchanted Tarot cards as a backup.
How does that sound? You could create some amazing combos with that. Like trapping your opponent in a giant bubble and then using Aquamancy on said bubble to Divine your opponent's near future mid battle, thus predicting their next move. It would be both an offensive and a defensive move at the same time.
And the larger, more purer body of water she uses, the clearer her vision could be.

So, how would you like to use your water magic? Is it more about manipulation or magnitude?

Manipulation and disrupting enemies. But the big question for me is to what extent am I allowed to go? As far as, say, manipulating someone's movements because of all the water in their body/blood?

I don't think that's been done in FT before, at least with water.
I think there's a puppet magic though, which gives precedent.

Actually, there is precedent in the canon for it. I just don't remember who did it. I think it was Juvia at some point.
Anyway, yes, I will allow it, GX. However, manipulating someone's blood will only work if the target is human and is not protected by any special armor or magic. Also, you can't, you know, control entire armies right off the bat.
I'd say manipulating someone for a few seconds at a time would be fair before the first timeskip.
Speaking of... Here's my idea for 'power levels' and events. Characters will roughly start out with power levels close to the Phantom arc, and will be able to grow and become stronger as they fight, train, etc. As the story progresses, there will be timeskips that mark the end of an arc. During said timeskips, the characters will gain a big boost in power.
The RP will be spread out over several topics, and each topic will end after its respective arc is over. However, you will still be able to post in the old topic, in case you want to show something that happened in between arcs. Kinda similar to Austur and Sithis.
Well, whaddya think?

Works for me. That beginning power level is even more than I really potentially need, so I know for sure that my character won't ever be OP by this RP's standard.

How long will each timeskip be?

Hrm... The gears in my mind are finally starting to turn... It's about time. The Empire of Arcadia, the capitol city Megiddo, Tiamat, Crimson Lotus, Silver Hand... Corrupt police force? Cliche with a twist? Ancient civilization? Babylon maybe? I can use the current plot holes in the canon to... Hrm... A prequel? That could work... Final arc ending right before Mavis founds Fairy Tail? Edolas, but with magic... Why couldn't Silver differentiate between Atlas and a demon? Or could he?
Hmm... Well, I dunno where the sudden inspiration came from, but I should jot all this down while I can. Now, where's a blank notebook...

How long will each timeskip be? Dunno yet. I have to work on the plot more before I can say.

So, now we wait for our world to be built.

That got ninja'd too. We planned backstories and I said something that I had planned on my character doing awhile ago. So, can Thief Guild members not use magic at all, or do they just not specialize in it?This question still stands.

Thief Guild members cannot use magic at all, hence why they have artifacts(Holder Magic) to make up for their lack of Caster Magic. Same with the Warrior Guilds.

Would it be okay for a magic-user to be in a Dark Thief Guild (since they don't play by the rules) if they didn't use it much?

So Neo, Can you help me with my magic. I need to figure it out before character stuffs. No rush unlike certain people.

Abyss Knight doesn't use Chaos magic.
They use Dark magic.
You'd probably be best as a Warrior with enchanted weapons and armor. Starting power level is pretty low though.

A mage could also be in a Warrior Guild, though you probably won't find any Thieves or Warriors in Magic Guilds. But it's possible. Holder Magic IS still magic, after all.

In other words, the purest form of Destruction Magic. Golurk, did you not read the previous posts? Digi and I already talked about his character, and I've approved it.
