Good instincts is only lazy writing to counteract his incredibly stupidity, and his depth in backstory isn't really all that deep. It tries to be deep, but it really isn't.

I just want to figure something out... Spell names are optional, right? Magic is totally usable without having to call your attacks, isn't it?
