And the romance in FT isn't bad, just the arguments and shipping wars. There's just something about them that seems rushed and -- dare I say -- forced at times, not to mention that OrionXEden occasionally feels like it's just retreading ground already done by VincentXElia elsewhere. But that's just my personal opinion. |

I have so much to say to that, Emppy, I really, really do. But I need a nap. So I'll just say that real romance is situational. Just like OrionxEden. It only seems rushed or forced because you don't have a lot of life experience in that area. Not trying to pull the age card, it's just the truth.

How so? They aren't even a couple yet, let alone in love, or anything like that. Their romance has barely even started.
Romance is situational. Not time based.

I'm way, way too tired for this... Too much I want to say, and I can't think of how to do so, because I'm too tired. Argh.
So. I'll just say this: Sex and romance are two completely different things. While it is usually a product of romance, it is not romance itself. Romance is entirely situational. The situations of Orion and Eden- their lives, personalities, events happening around them, etc- lead them to that.
GX and I have not had a chance to build them as a couple yet. After the Wyvern King's quest, we are going to be spending quite a bit of time building them as a couple, and having them learn about each other. We could not do that earlier in the RP because, 1), how the RP is structured, and 2), because the one night stand only happened a week ago in-story.
While your're free to have your opinions, they aren't rushed in the slightest, even if it seems like that.

It's not that they're arguing, Neo. And they can't know the things we've been planning, so they're limited to forming opinions based on their own observations. As you said, we've yet to starting building their actual relationship. As such, don't worry about the way things are now. It's just first impressions right now, as should be expected.
There's no hostility or anything. That said, let's just drop the subject entirely since there's no point in this continuing since there's currently nothing to discuss precisely because the development has yet to begin.

I ain't a fan of drinking. Being drunk. Whatever. But I tolerate it. People like different things.
I ain't a fan of one-night stands. But I tolerate it. People have biological/romantic urges.
Cross the two, and it's something that I very much am against. And I find the concept of a drunken one-night stand kickstarting a relationship to be unhealthy. Or, in terms of writing, forced. Of course, something starting badly doesn't mean it will end badly.
And now I'm being all holier-than-thou. But whatever. While I'm on the subject, PM incoming Neo. Completely unrelated, other than being FT planning.

One, and I've said this many times, they weren't s*** faced. They both knew exactly what they were doing at the time, and had full control of their faculties. You seem to have a completely different view of the scene than what actually happened. Two, it didn't kickstart their relationship.
Read what GX posted. Nothing has kickstarted their relationship yet because they aren't in one.
Now, I am going to drop this subject, because I really am starting to get offended. I'm sick and tired of being constantly criticized.
