The next day the dawn has already broken and Mid is still hard at work. At the moment he is lowering a large contraption into what appears to be the hull of a metal ship. "Easy, easy... There now magic the conduit wire into place and the drive catalyst is installed." He muses with no small amount of satisfaction. Just then the door opens with a thud. "What? Who? Oh its you Jarod." Mid shouts with a start "Now that you're here could you help me install the flare-vortex canons, they're right over there." He adds off-handedly. "Sheesh Mid you've been at it all night take a break already, its this kind of thing that drove old man Sid into an early grave." Jarod chides as he walked over to the canons. "I can't stop now its nearly finished just a few finishing touches left." Mid states as he lowers a chain for Jarod. "Whats finished the weapons, the props, the hull? Its not like this tub will fly anytime soon." Queries Jarod. "Ha ha, thats were you're wrong my friend. This is it, the aeriolite from Jorcum was the last piece needed. This time tomorrow the red wing will at long last fly! Hah, hah, hah!!" Mid boasts with glee. "You serious? You made the drive engine Sid designed work?" Jarod asked incredulously. "You bet. Not only does it work but Grandpa underestimated the efficiency, she'll go faster than we ever dreamed." Mid proclaims with glee. Then changing tone to one of impatience he shouts, "Now hook up that canon! And after that go tell the others to assemble first thing tomorrow morning, its time to touch the sky."

Good heavens, it is ungodly hot. Ugh, a woman of my caliber should not be burning up in such a home...
Ceridwen sat, fanning herself with a small slip of paper. The servants weren't here yet. It was a hot day, too hot for her tastes. The door opened, and she turned her nose up at The girl. "You could have gotten here a lot sooner, now fan me!" She said coldly.
"I-I'm sorry m-milady, I was-
"You were nothing. Shirking your duties Hrm? Oh, I should have father throw you out on the streets!" The raven haired woman snapped.
Quiet silence enveloped the room, and then sobbing ensued.
"Get out of my sight!" Ceridwen finally hissed, turning around. A scamper, and the servant girl was gone. The noble gave a sigh of frustration. What incompetence, she was the scion of a noble family for god's sake!

The following morning a group of six had gathered outside the Heirlīn gear works. The last of which, a teenage brunet in a blue dress, was just barely arriving.
"Morning Emily. Almost thought you weren't gonna make it." Greets a red-headed young man to the tall young lady who just arrived. "You didn't really think I'd miss this spectacle, Aron. Wether the red wing flies or flops I'm sure Mids going to put on a show worth watching." Emily replies. "Now, now, you to know Mid wouldn't have called us out here if he didn't think she was ready." And older man in a green cap chides. "Thats true dear but this is Sid's grandson we're talking about, and I'm sure you remember some of his false starts." Replies an older woman in a green dress as she hug the shoulder of the older man. "I don't know ma, After seeing Mid yesterday I think dad might be right." Says the young man you recognize as Jarod. He then turns to the final member of the group who's face is hidden under the hood of a grey cloak. "What do you think John?" The hooded John simply walks over to the shop door and knocks loudly three times. Just as the third knock sounds the whole building begins to shake. "Woe! What did you do John?" Shout Emily in surprise. He simply backs up and shakes his head. The building on the other hand undergoes a fairly eye catching change. The roof splits down the middle and begins opening wide riding on tracks and being moved by four large gear mechanisms. Then with a great whirring sound a set of propellers begin rising out of the building, propellers attached to a bright red ship. The ship continues to rise until it clears the top of the building, it then pulls forward right over the stunned group below. Suddenly a rope ladder unfurls off the port side of the ship. "All aboard the red wing my friends!!" Shouts the elated Mid from the control platform on the ships bridge.

Ceridwen decided to step outside. To her relief, it was much cooler. She didn't see the maid anywhere. Then she saw the maid wiping at her eyes. Feeling slightly guilty, she walked over.
"I want a chat." She demanded. The maid looked up horrified.
"I-I'm sorry, I swear I'll work harder and be on time." The girl pleaded desperately. She stared into Ceridwen's eyes fearfully, as if awaiting the words of her being released.
Ceridwen rolled her eyes at her. "I'm not having you released on the streets dear, I'm simply...sorry." She finished lamely. There was an awkward silence in the air. "I'm waiting for you to accept it!" She finally said, tapping her foot impatiently. She got no response.
Gritting her teeth, she turned around, nose in the air. "Fine, I shouldn't have to lower my dignity to some commoner anyway." She would have stormed off if it wasn't for a huge shadow appearing above head. It was giving off quite the fierce wind, blowing her dress. Panicking, Ceridwen quickly forced her dress down.
"Barbarians!" She screamed at the contraption.

Mid sits at the helm of the majestic red wing soaking in the magnitude of where he is. ("Well Gramps you were right, she really flies. Furthermore I swear by the Heirlīn name that I will put this ship to good use") Mid thinks to himself as the clouds wiz by below. "Oy Mid! We're coming up on the city of Zephyr!" Shouts Aron from the ships bow. "Excellent! I'll take us down!" Mid replies over the whir of the propellers and the breeze. "All hands brace your selves, I'm taking her down for a sweep of the city!" True to his word mid reduces the prop speed and tilts the bow forward diving down through the clouds. As he nears the city he makes a wide banking maneuver, making sure to pass over all the districts of the city as he slows the ships forward momentum. He finally slows to a hover over the town square. "Alright everyone we're about to land. Cecil, John I want you two to accompany me to meet with the counsel representatives. Every one else stay here and watch the ship." Mid commands to his crew. With that the ship slowly descends, dropping the last inch with a soft thud. As expected the red wings arrival is met by a phalanx of the town guard. Mid proceeds to shout to said guards, over the rail of the ship, "Greetings my fellow Alibabians. We have come to speak to the members of the counsel. Please if you would, send word to them from me, Mid Heirlīn captain of the airship red wing!"

Ceridwen stared at the strangers. They were insanely barbaric in her tastes. "Hmph, what makes you think my daddy would lower himself to speak to you heathens?"

Vincent's eyes suddenly roll back in his head, and he resists the urge to groan. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up...
Summoning the last few drops of his strength, Vincent calls the Knowledge back to him, and once again takes in the aspect of the Ninth. His eyes open, and beams of light billow forth, illumimating the area like a sunburst. "The Ninth Sapling deems your sacrifice worthy, and holds your pact true. The bond has been forged, breakable only on pain of loss."
The light gradually fades until Vincent's eyes return to normal, but as the last of the light leaves him, a great pang of pain strikes his head, and he nearly passes out. Images swim unbidden through his mind, assailing him with thoughts and scenes not his own. What... What is this?
A golden temple, crumbling to ruin. A circle of light, blanketing a darkened sky. A group of islands, sinking into the sea. All in all, they stand, resolute, unmoving. A lake of gleaming fire. A mountain, rising into the sky. And the world burns. And the world burns.
The vision fades, abruptly leaving him, and his eyes burst open. He resists the urge to leap to his feet, instead looking around. It seems only a second has passed... No one else seems to have noticed anything strange.... What... In the name of all that is unholy just happened? Was that... A glimpse of the future? But... That's impossible... His prophetic abilities left him upon his second death, along with the majority of the Knowledge... Unless... No. He couldn't think of the alternative. If the Knowledge started to return to him, he would be forced to drastic measures. The one who could defeat him... He has to find that person soon, before any more of the Knowledge returns. But still... That vision... Most of it was just jumbled images, and barely made any sense. And yet... One image alone stood out from the rest. It was of a young woman, clad in sunlight.

"Fine, I'm sorry Shalla." Serlen sighed. He was getting tired of their little game. He waited for her response, only to find her dazed off, still staring at him. "Shalla?"he repeated, waving his hand in her face. He was unprepared for her tackling Him to the ground.
"I heard your apology." Shalla said, smirking down at him. Serlen stared confused, why was she still tackling him. "Yeah, can you get off me though? You're pretty heavy." He admitted without shame. He received a slap to the face for his comment.
"You just called me fat!" Shalla accused, glaring heavily at him. Serlen rubbed his quickly turning red cheek. "I said you were heavy, not fat, Shalla." He clarified.
Shalla threw her hands up in the air. "Hello, same thing genius." She continued. Serlen stared at her weirdly. "Okay, I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I'm sorry."
Shalla turned to him. "That's your problem. Stop being sorry and nice." She said. Serlen frowned. "It's proper etiquette to be nice to a lady." He protested.
"...you are a mystery." Shalla sat down on the floor.
"I don't understand what you're talking about Shalla. I'm simply following what I was taught as a royal. I'm not going to change my Views."Serlen sighed.
"Alright." Was her response.
Glad that the problem was cleared up, Serlen took a seat next to her.
"Why are you so...hotheaded?" He finally said.
"You're expecting a soft spoken priestess aren't you? In my village you have to develop such a personality if you want to be strong. My parents died, and I took care of myself for most of my life, when I wasn't in the orphanage of course." Shalla said, resting her chin on her knees.
"If I say sorry, it makes it look as though I'm giving you pity. I know it sounds cold, but I encountered a lot of war orphans." Serlen revealed. He paused for a moment. "Sometimes I want to escape the shell of royalty, explore, but I know I have a more comfortable position than the Other social classes. By meeting people like you, I gain more experience of the world. I hope I can live up to my parents expectations."
Shalla gave a brief smile. "You're not a blue blood like I thought. I expected a lot of things from you, but not this. Thanks for being a...friend."
He waved his hand. "We're just swapping life stories, Shalla. This is what I do, being friendly." He chuckled.

Clenching his fists and repressing the urge to start launching pointy objects, Mid turns to face the source of the insult that was just slung his way. "By way of your speech I take you are a daughter of one of the council members. Though last I checked access to the council was not restricted by dilettantes, it would do me much good to hear for what reason you deem myself and my companions to be heathens." Mid retorts in the most formal tone he can muster. All the while drumming his fingers on his bag of enchanted nails. Watching the scene one of the guards begins to shake his head dejectedly and then turns to start walking to the council chambers.

Ceridwen fixed the guard with an icy glare. "You will not inform the council until this barbarian is cleared by me." Finished, she turned back to the man. "I'll give you a few reasons. One, learn how to talk to a lady. Two, you do NOT, and I repeat for your obviously small ears, NOT land in the middle of Zephyr with whatever uncouth machinery." She listed.

"So the pact is complete, how do you feel Van?" Baron asked. Honestly, I feel the same but now it looks like me and you are in this until the end," Van response. "So are you ready to get going? " Van asked. "What you mean Van we still have more time we can stay with Vincent right?" Baron asked. "I don't think we do something feels different about him it feels like something is wrong," Van said. Before you even bring up the subject of our new power, you know as well as I do we are out of our league," Van told Baron.
"So what do you suggest then?" Baron asked. " We grab that cat of your when we go back to Vincents place, and get our stuff and head back to the village and figure out what to do next," Van said. Baron just started staring at Catie thinking how heart broken she will be. I much rather with an upset Catie then Vincent's other half," Van told Baron. "Your right, we can just tell Vincent something important came up and we have to be on our way. " Fine I will tell Vincent, " Baron said. "Vincent thank you for everything you did to help me," Baron said to Vincent. "As soon as we get back me, Van, Sam, and Catie will be on our way," Baron said. "It seems like something came up that requires our immediate attention," Baron said. Upon hearing this Catie went histerical. "Never you can't take me away from my Sil Sil," Catie screamed. "I won't let you take me away from her," Catie said as she put Silver in a death grip. Baron tried to talk Catie down but Catie was so upset about leaving Silver she just started bursting into tears. "I don't want to leave Sil Sil, we are best friends and..," Catie couldn't finish before she started sobbing so much anything that would come out was incomprehensible. "Okay now what Van?" Baron asked. "Don't ask me she is your girlfriend after all," Van responded. All Baron could do was just stare at Catie crying a literal river while trying to think of a way to get Catie away from Silver

Mid having ever greater trouble restraining himself takes a deep breath, while the rest of his crew share knowing nervous glances. "Begging your pardon, but the red wing is the first craft of it's kind. So I would be hard pressed to be informed on the etiquette of landing airships. More over, is it not proper for a lady to introduce herself or be introduced before demanding the respect fitting her station, a show of decorum you have not yet enacted." States Mid doing all he can to contain his bile. "If I may my lady, would it not perhaps be more pleasant for you if we had this lively exchange at the counsel building instead of here in the square. I would not wish for one so fair as you to suffer further in this unseasonable heat." States the ever tactful merchant Cecil, in an attempt to contain the situation.

"I am Ceridwen Esther, daughter of a very influential council member and ambasssador. Your flattery will not work on me. Come, I don't have all day to waste with such Ill mannered people." She says, strutting towards the council building.

"C'mon boys lets follow the lovely little lady, before we loose any more daylight." Mid addresses to Cecil and John. The three then depart flanked by four of the guardsmen. Two more escorted the foul tempered debutante. The rest remained in the square, presumably to keep an eye on the ship. Mid makes a note of this.

Ceridwen checked to make sure they were following. Confirmed, she entered the building. "You will find them on the second floor, central room." She explained as though she was talking to small children.
She then walked up the stairs leading to the second floor.

Mid turns to look the man who addressed him in the eyes. "Greetings good councilor, my name is Amidale Heirlīn." Mid states with a slight bow, then gesturing to his right, "This is Cecil Arwin my companies cheif merchat." Cecil gives a bow at his name. Mid then turns to his left. "And this is John Ashline, my companies apothicary." John gives a bow as well. Mid turns once again to face the coucilor. "We have come here today to discuss a proposition before the high council of Alilibab. As to the subject of this proposition, perhapse you noticed my companies arrival in the town square. If not I imagine the young lady, your daughter I assume, could inform you of the relavent details." Mid states with a bit of an involuntary smirk.
