Two men stood by a round, ornate table, looking at a large map of the continent. There was also a large book on the table, lying open, and an assortment of letters from officials. The map itself was decorated with three types of markers in various colors that could easily be moved. The blue markers represented what they did know, the red for things that were surely irrelevant, and white markers for things that should be investigated. One man placed the red and white markers while reading a list of events rumored to have happened. The other placed blue markers at certain locations as he read from the list of the last confirmed locations of certain people, as he compared that to where they were supposedly living at the time of the last census.
"...Rufus, male, black hair and brown eyes, crafting district of Shaldra, same. Alexandria, female, brown hair and green eyes, Gardasha, living in Shaldra at the time of the last census. Shalla, female, silver hair and green eyes, Kami Village, wasn't born yet. Marcus, male, blonde hair and blue eyes, Arden, and unknown due to a lack of census information from Dalthia," he finished, placing a final blue marker on the map, his eyes briefly showing the faint traces of homesickness.
"That's the locations of all Type-1 mages we know of at this time, except for Odessa's, of course. These locations are all from the weekly reports of the soldiers watching them, and the reports just came in four days ago. None of them could have travelled very far in that time on foot. And for this, we are better off just assuming that they don't know any Type-3 mages."
Jacob examined the map, noting the locations and considering the different reports that Graecius had read. He the began swapping some of the white markers for red ones, before taking a step back to look at what remained.
She left the palace with Arcturus. The next logical step in this investigation would be to compare the list of known slipspace portals inside the city, and any known portals they connect to...
He then started searching the different records and documents in the office, tossing the irrelevant ones into the floor, where they landed in a heap. Smirking as he thought about what Elia would if say if she saw him mistreating those books, he finally found what he was looking for. Quickly skimming through the book, he found what he thought was sure to be the answer. Rushing back over to the table, he swept all the carefully placed markers off of the map, and placed a purple one in a spot near the Cleatian-Dalthian border.
"This is it, Graecius. This is the location of one of Grangold Academy's slipspace portals that they use to educate students about the security along the roads that are used to cross the Cleatian border. Arcturus would also have access to this portal," he said as he moved the marker to a location in the mountains, before stepping back again and finishing his explanation. "It's only a few days walk to the monastery for someone used to the mountains. And as foolish as it may seem, she would want to return to the monastery, and stay there at least until she could figure out where to go next. She could very well arrive there in only a few hours, so if I'm correct, we must use the portal your men placed near the monastery if we want to reach her in time."

"You're not a very good friend, Caius." Graecius replied as he directed a guard to fetch a Type-3. "Betraying her for political power? At least she doesn't know. She's a sweet little thing; I wouldn't want to harm her, but it's not really my choice. Hestus isn't ready to be emperor quite yet, and she's the only thing keeping father in good enough condition to rule."
"You called?" A very rat-like mage in ornate robes asked as he rubbed his hands together.
"You, open the portal." Graecius replied stone-facedly.
"As you wish." He sighed as he opened the slipspace portal. "I'll be here if you need me."
"Did I say that you're not coming along? You're our ride back if things don't go according to plan." Graecius stared down at the hunching mage.
"Yes, sire." The cowardly mage bowed his head as he cupped his palms.

"Contrary to what you believe, there is a reason why I did this that has nothing to do with politics," Jacob said coldly, before his tone changed to a more accusatory one, "But if it makes you feel better about the fact that you were the one who kidnapped her and took her away from her home against her will, and willingly left her with that cruel couple, who tried so hard to break her spirit at any cost... If it really makes you feel better about all of that, then sure, you can think of me as the villain."

"Sacrifices are necessary in order to maintain stability." Graecius replied as he tensed a little. "The couple had promised us she would be treated with utmost care. Their mistake led to their execution. They screamed for forgiveness and mercy, but they showed none. I want her to be happy, but I have my duty to Cleatia. Plus, what other reason would you have or doing this?"

"For the good of Austur," he said simply before walking through the portal.

"Fool." Graecius muttered as he followed suit.

"And that should be it." Shalla said, marking things off "I get the impression you are always prepared." Serlen muttered. To him,she had a sense of familiarity,of someone he knew. "Of course, I have a schedule planned out for nearly everything. I figured you could help around the village before you...left." Shall replied. He tried his best to ignore the dejected tone in her voice, but found himself failing to.
"I always keep my word,so you'll have no worries about me backing out now. I can't leave people without soldiers to play the role of pawn for some vile man." He remarked firmly. Shalla did not reply as she stocked potions into her small brown bag. "Your accent," she began after a few moments,"isn't from here. Care to share a story with me traveler?" She snickered to herself at the end.
Serlen groaned. She was just as bad as Lewi when it came to persistence. He banished the thought instantly wishing not to dwell on the happenings of his own home. "I'm from A continent to the east of here. And from the likes, the very Far East. I'm...the prince of a kingdom there." He said nonchantly, gazing at an ornate three pronged lance on the wall. He remained silent waiting for the inevitable apologies that most gave him.
"Tell me she isn't like the rest." He pleaded to himself. When he looked over he found her already making her way over to the forest. "You sure don't act like a royal. I expected a snob." Shalla called over her shoulder. Serlen nodded his head," I get that a lot, along with being far to kind and soft spoken for one of my stature." He said.
In no time he was already matching her pace," this necromancer.... Does he have a name?" He asked, squinting at a far off cave. "....Fardar." Shalla replied. "Farther?" Serlen asked, he raised a curious eyebrow. Shalla scowled to herself," no I said Far-dar." She said slowly.
Serlen covered his mouth doing his best not to laugh."his parents must he proud." He quipped. The corners of his mouth twitched as though one comment would set him into fits of laughter. Shalla however, was te first to burst into laughter. "I don't think Necromancers are renown for their names, but power." She chortled.
Serlen shrugged and remained quiet, though one could see a smirk on his face of close enough. The rest of the journey was uneventful as they came upon the cave Serlen saw earlier. Even without Shalla's words he could feel the despair radiating from this place.
"Truly he must be powerful." Serlen thought. With a flick of his wrist he drew the blade that had served his ancestor well, and as such, served his entire family tree. The blade was a gentle silver with small letters of the ancient language that only his continent knew. The hilt was a bright golden and embedded in the middle was a small blue gem with the design of a Dragon.
He looked over to see Shalla eyeing the blade with interest. "Can't you use magick?" She asked. He nodded. "Yes,but I prefer my blade more often than not. My magick....isn't the most trustworthy thing to count on." He smiled.
Shall nodded figuring he was more of a physical fighter. "I followed Fardar to this cave a fortnight ago. I was lucky to be escape with all his cronies about." She whispered.
They were inside the cave now and as horrible as the cave looked, the smell was equally atrocious. A crunch brought their attention to a few skeletons armed with axes. Serlen glanced at Shalla who had her staff at the ready. "Holy magick will bring to much attention with its light flashes, allow me." He insisted. Not waiting for her response he pointed his hand at the undead duo.
A slight shimmer in the air, and then the sound of shattering could be heard albeit quietly. "And you say it's horrible." Shalla. Remarked sarcastically. "In my defense,Wind magick my is best area." He protested. Shalla grabbed his hand remiscent of the way at the beau and began a slow sprint. Oddly enough they encountered no more undead. They reached a small cavern with light piercing through the ceiling.
"Kekeke. So I am introduced to children? First you kill my creations, and now you come to terrorize me." A raspy voice spoke.
Serlen stepped forward glaring through the dark where a lone hand with peeling flesh, rested. "Show yourself Fardar. Your reign ends here." Shalla yelled. Her response was more raspy laughter.
" looking for glory are we? Very well, I shall give you the death you seek. Perhaps I will allow you to live and watch as I raze your village turning your friends into my loyal puppets." Fardar said. A leg stepped into the light and finally glowing red eyes. Fardar walked into the light revealing a tattered purple cloak. His face was also nothing but rotten flesh revealing pieces of bones.
The ground shook and what came forth were Skeletons armed with pole arms. " a test if you will." Fardar grinned revealing his decayed teeth.
The first to come was a heavily armored skeleton. It's first swipe was easily dodged before Serlens sword found itself in its rib age. The skeleton gave a hiss as smoke billowed forth from its bones. It let out a shriek before shattering into bone. "Interesting. A blade that uses no holy magick." Fardar observed. His eyes flickered over to the youth in front of him. " a blade forged by a goddess then. How detestable all generations of heroes are." He sneered.
The rest of the skeletons came, but were either felled by Serlens blade,or shalla's magick. The necromancer let out a yell of rage as he fired off a blast of dark energy. Shalla had recently finished off a skeleton and turned to see the searing dark flame heading in her direction. Serlen tackled her and the two rolled to the side barely avoiding the ball that burnt through the cavern.
Fardar advanced, preparing another flame. He raised his hands slowly, but before he could release, Serlen launched his blade with the precision of a sniper. The blade lodged itself in fardars stomach, and the loch tumbled to his knees howling. "Burning... Sensation... What is THIS!? He shrieked.
" a final resting place." Serlen replied. He reached out grasping his blade, before plunging it into Fardars skull. He let out a sigh feeling the events of the battle catching up to him.
"Thanks." Shalla said quietly. She came to his side looking equally worse for wear. "I'm hoping there's no major event I'll be involved in on tho continent." He told her. He sheathed his blade and faced the direction they came.
"Trust me, there's nothing going on so far. Everything is peaceful Serlen." Shalla laughed.
Serlen shook his head feeling a shiver run down his spine. " somehow, I don't see that happening." He grumbled.

All nations have some form of developed mythology, or religion, this is true. But the myths and religions of Shiryu are quite different than most, or at least what we Cleatians have come to expect. The people of Shiryu believe in what they call the 'Ascended'. The Ascended are people of great import in life, who 'ascend' to godhood after death, joining the 'Original 12' in the Shiryuan version of heaven. Mostly, this would be people like great warlords, or benevolent rulers. But this remains unspecified in the religious text known as 'The Mandate', and as such, anyone could potentially become one of the Ascended. In a way, this belief is ingenious. It gives rise to a hard working people, a strong, sturdy people who try their best in life, so they might live better after death. But this in turn has developed into a fierce discrimination between the ruling and knight classes and the common folk in society. Those of the higher echelon believe only they are worthy to join the ranks of the Ascended, and they look down, even consciously diminish or attack lesser folk who try to achieve the same goal. And yet, at the same time, this 'Mandate of Heaven' has birthed a race of people who put honor above all else, and has birthed some of the most legendary warriors of our time, such as the Samurai and Shogun. Truly, it is a hypocritical ideal. Perhaps the best example of this is the legend of House Oda. Centuries ago, the land of Shiryu was not as divided as it is now. One house in particular stood above all the rest, and that was House Oda, led by Oda Nobunaga. Nobunaga ruled with an iron fist, sharp katana, and a ruthless ambition. He alone dared to unite all of Shiryu under one rule, and even declared himself the first Emperor of Shiryu. Nobunaga was soon assassinated by his younger brother, in a now famous coup, known as 'The Night of Black Roses'. Along with Nobunaga, his wife, concubine, and daughter were also killed on that fateful day. But Nobunaga's son survived. The child, whose name has been mysteriously erased from all records, was saved and ushered to safety by a maid of the House. Now, those of you who are unfamiliar with this tale may think the outcome clear and predictable. But you would be wrong. This is not a tale of glory and honor, where the boy grows up a great warrior and avenges his father, taking control of his House. Rather, it is quite the opposite.
The boy grew to be the most legendary assassin and wizard in Shiryuan history, the Black Death. Some claimed he was a powerful Necromancer, others claimed he was a Demon born from Nobunaga and Eya, the Shiryuan goddess of destruction and plague. Regardless, according to the legend, the Black Death was more powerful than any mere mortal had a right to be. For years, he prayed upon Shiryu's underbelly, slaying petty criminals and crime lords alike, starting with his uncle. Control of the house fell to Diantha Oda, Nobunaga's niece. His son however, continued plaguing the land for some time longer, eventually culminating in the now legendary 'Battle of Red Waters', where all houses(even the Oda) sent their armies to slay the Black Death. Alone and vastly outnumbered, the Black Death fought in vain against hundreds of thousands. Now, this is where the many versions of the legend start to differ. Some claim the Black Death won the battle with the help of his mother Eya, and then ascended to godhood, becoming the Shiryuan God of Death. Other claim he lost the battle, and fell into the sea, critically injured, never to be heard from again. While still more claim the battle ended in a draw, and the Black Death simply disappeared. However, most versions agree on one detail: After the battle, the son of Nobunaga did indeed ascend, and not to some minor deity either. To this day, the Shiryuan God of Death is believed to be one and the same, and is believed to reside deep in the bowels of the earth.

It was in the span of the next three days that Serlen decided it was time to move on. "Your what?!" Shalla shouted. He covered his ears and gave her a sympathetic look. "Look Verdani- I mean Shalla, I have to reach the empire to relay an important message." Serlen insisted. Shalla glared at him with barely concealed rage,"Verdani? Who is that?" She demanded.
"A friend of mine. You two look stunningly similar that when I as you I actually believed it" Serlen remarked wryly. Shalla gave a huge sigh before walking away. "If your going then so am I." She said smugly. Serlen eyed her with amusement," sure come with me. Can't say you won't be regretting it." He chuckled.
By the next day they had already set off on the five day journey to Cleatia "Get some rest, because this is going to be a long journey." Serlen sighed. He had already taken the livery of setting up a all tent that they would both have to share.
"If you insist, prince." Shalla sighed dramatically, waving her hand in the air Serlen quirked a smile before responding. "Yeah..." He trailed off.
His gaze remained on the horizon where an empire sat. "And so shall the meetings of Emperors begin." He thinks.

Alucard stifled a laugh as he felt the Elia throw the light sword. Pushing aside his aura he allowed the sword to stab him right through the chest. With the sword still embedded in him, he leaned in closer allowing Angelina to be stabbed by the sword. Another scream gave him another smile as he released her from the stone hands. His clothes raveled around him completely covering himself up again, with the exception of the light sword tear. The mid length blonde clucthed the fresh wound in pain as Alucard turned to face Elia. Thunder Fury crashed another bolt against the Monastery collapsing another section of the roof. "How very lovely to see you miss Elia, but I must finish business with your friend before I can give you attention." His fangs exposed with his widened smile as he continued, the sword of light no longer there as it was devoured by his aura. "And oh how much attention I will give. I'm shocked at how I could've missed it, but you carry a spark as bright as that boy!"
Angelina was too far gone to scream again. She couldn't even talk, possibly even unlucky to be conscious. The blood loss left her weary. The trauma left her faithless and broken. And just when she thought it was finally over for her, the trails of blood and the blood left on the bed began to gather around her. The slithering trails practically hissed evil as they began encassing her in a thick red walls. Eventually, perhaps a few seconds later, she was completely trapped in an amber like blood crystal. Through a spatial magik, he minimized the space the crystal's mass occupied until it fit neatly in his palm. He placed the now small stone in an amulet that had been around his neck.
And that's when things got strange. The shambling corpses and fragile skeleton's that had been easily dispatched before, were revitalized by the excess blood that flowed out of the monastery. They're bodies were once again healing. Strength returned to their muscles and air carrying the thick scent of iron filled their lungs, but to absolutely no purpose. The ten that were leading now had their hair spring back along with their purple hued human bodies. --- The general was sent flying into another of his portal as he emerged a few meters closer to Arcturus with a sword of glimmering white metal. The rust gone from his armor as well he looked at Pearl, then Arcturus, "She is not in fighting condition. You should take her away." --- Mist was a bit taken back as she felt the mana flow in her leg, but she had taken far worse. Stepping further back to bring out valkyrie, she noticed the source of her rage had already left.
"That little... I'M GOING TO F-" She was cut off as Wha-Wha put a hand over her mouth.
"Now, now sis, aren't you being a bit irrational?" Mist begins to steam in her water form as she glares down.
"People like him, are just one of the reasons I said we should've cut off ties in Aliab a long time ago. And he's barely the tip of the iceberg!"
"Aww, that was mean Mist. You know that's my home." Zappa said as he drifted a little closer. "Not everyone from there's a jerkass."
"Not to mention my puppets are profitable. Layla can you help me send a message?"
"Uhh, sure." The tall Nymph agreed as she touched the back of Wha-Wha's head and aimed her tail down at Hamon like a satellite.
"Listen Hamon, the Kid, my sis is a little peeved with you, but I still believe we can sort this out. Wait there for a little while, and I'll have someone arranged to pick you up."
Just as Wha-Wha finished sending a message, Mist uttered the phrase, "Cry, Valkyrie." The fog previously pushed into him when they first met began exiting through his pores. The odd shape it took as it was halfway out stopped it's exit, and the phrase Mist uttered turned the fog into sharp pieces of a blade as it stabbed through his leg. The shrapnel like blades once again became fog as it slithered back into his body. --- "Present day!" Pearl shouted with a happy smile and a jump. "You want come?" Pearl said as she turned to head back to the castle. "Please follow castle to jam. Very Thank you!" And she walked past the bridge and further into the heart of the forest.

Silver was mid hunt when the perimeter alarm was tripped. The solemn moon hung full in the evening sky, bathing the mountain landscape in waves of luminescence. Her scales glistened in the twilight, and as her talons latched onto the unfortunate deer, her sensitive ears caught the shrill, silent shriek. Lucky for the deer, this sudden interruption made Silver flinch, and the deer frantically bounded off before she could give chase. Silver resisted the urge to roar at the stupid alarm. It wouldn't really help her newfound headache to yell at a machine. Still, it might make her feel better about losing her prey. If she gave chase now, she could still catch up to it... After all, her quarry was only a common deer, and she a dragon. It was probably just some terminally dumb rabbit that tripped the alarm. Silver almost feels sorry for the poor thing, considering what the other machines past the alarm are capable of doing. She's all but decided to resume the chase, when she remembers something her master said about the system some time ago, when he first bought it from Aliab...
------------ 90 years ago...
"This is truly an ingenious use of magick," Vincent said to the young girl at his side, his voice rife with curiosity.
"Why's that, papa?" The girl asks.
Vincent smiled warmly at the girl's casual claim, despite how untrue it was, and gently patted her ears. She always liked that. "That might be a bit hard to explain my sweet, but I'll try. You see, this device is what's called an 'Amplifier'. While Amplifiers can be made to do many things, this one in particular uses a combination of Type 3 and 4 magick. Not enough to cause a reaction from the combining you see, but just enough to work. Each one of these emits a low intensity, invisible gravity field. Not enough to cause harm or noticeable effect mind you, but enough to sense something large passing by. If the Amplifier picks up a distortion in the field, it sends a telepathic warning to any who have imprinted their mama signature on it. And the best part is, only one signature can be imprinted at a time, and it can only be removed by the signature's original owner. So it makes the perfect alarm system. Heck, if you buy enough, you could probably ward an entire city."
----------- Silver hadn't understood it then, but she does now. Only an animal of a large enough size could trip the system. It couldn't have been a rabbit. Silver shakes off her nostalgia, and her desire to hunt, though she vows vengeance against that damn deer. She takes flight, high into the trees, keeping as quiet as possible. She's only in the air for a few brief moments when she hears a bloodcurdling scream. Her blood chills. That... That was a human scream. Silver trades silence for speed, and rockets towards the general direction of the noise. It doesn't take her long to find the source, and it ain't pretty. Silver lands on the ground next to the now lifeless body, shifting into her human form as she does. Her scales morph into brown leather armor and pale white skin. Her twenty foot white wings sprout from the custom slits in her armor, though she quickly folds them to conserve space. Long silver hair spills down her back, falling to her waist. Her sky blue eyes show only the barest of pity, at least until she studies the body more closely.
Male, mid thirties, gruff and ugly as sin. A bandit or merc most likely, given his crude armor and weapons. The unfortunate lout obviously fell prey to one of master's more... Dangerous traps. Silver searches the body for any sign of how he ended up here. It's probably just a coincidence that he stumbled so close to the Hidden City, but she can't afford to risk it. Not when her master's life is at stake. He's practically helpless in his current state, so it's her job to protect him. She doesn't find anything at first, but after a meticulous search, she stumbles upon something in the man's pocket. A note, as it would seem. Silver carefully glances over it, and her eyes widen as she does so.
Elman's journal says the city should be near the center of the mountains, hidden by magick. Do whatever it takes to find the entrance. I don't bloody care what you have to do. Just determine if the journal is accurate, find the entrance, and report back. No stupid s***, and don't get greedy. Cause I'll know. Very soon now, Gorgath will be ours. So don't screw this up. All our dreams are at stake.
-Blackwood
Oh, crap... Surely this isn't the same Elman that master saved as a child, the one he told all those stories about Gorgath to... But if it is... Silver almost starts to panic, but she quickly calms herself. What should I do? I don't want to wake master but... They're just bandits, right? I can handle them myself.
Famous last words, some part of herself thinks.

The trip to the empire was shorter than Serlen expected. Eventually, the gates of Cleatia come into view. It remind him of home to be hornets. Begonia, a place of of peace in the recent few months. "And welcome to the empire of fortune." Shalla says sarcastically.
Serlen gives a small look around in surprise. "Not that much bigger than my Empire." He says. It takes a while before Shalla catches on to his meaning.
"Ou said you were a prince!" She exclaims. Serlen looks at her and chuckled," even an emperors child is bestowed the title of prince until their ascension." He corrects.
Shalla would have answered if a woman covered in blood, had not came running to them. "Please! Bandits in the mountains....they killed my husband and son." She sobs. Shalla and Serlen share a look before turning back to her.
"Bandits? Stay calm ma'am,I've got this." Serlen assures. I'm capable too!" Shalla yells at his retreating back. The boy turns to her with determination in his eyes.
"No, I need you to stay here for now. I can handle them."
Shalla watches as he disappears behind a few shops. "Forgive me,but stay here." She tells the woman and takes off after Serlen.
The woman looks at the two before her far breaks out into a malicious grin. Two small fangs are revealed in her upper jaw and she cackles before turning into dust.

"Tell that to her." Arcturus replied as he jumped backwards into a portal to increase the distance between himself and the general and pointed at the now very excited Pearl. "I can probably do as much as you can right now. She's not going to leave."
---
"What?" Alto sobbed a little as she carefully followed the strange nymph.

Elia started running back towards the main halls of the monastery, hoping she could reach an exit before Alucard could catch up. After she reached the end of another hallway, she saw a large pile of debris that used to form the roof of the building.
The only other exits I'll be able to get to are back there, but I'll be killed- or worse- if I try going back to get to them. That means...I'll have to find a place where I can climb over the debris... Oh no, I think he's coming! I have to stop thinking and just do it! She quickly began climbing, and refused to look behind her because it would just slow her down. She chose to focus on getting to an exit, knowing her best chance to survive would be to find the others and get them to help her.

"Hey boss, shouldn't we send out a search party?" A particularly tall bandit asked the particularly short one. "Don's been gone for o'er a day now. Don't ya think something went rotten?"
"Shut yer trap," the shorter bandit snaps, roughly kicking him in the knee. The taller bandit yelps and hops around on one leg like a Jackrabbit. "I'm the boss round here, ain't I?! And that means I don't need some thick headed lout trying to give me advice. I'll send out a team tomorrow."
Silver, from her perch high in a nearby tree, still can't believe her eyes. Or ears. Or her luck, for that matter. When she first started looking for the fools who dared to tread upon her home, she expected a trained, professional fighting force. In fact, she had even seriously considered hiring help. But these bandits are so pathetic they're almost comical! Silver could deal with these fools in her sleep.
She silently readies her Long Bow, notching a single silver arrow.

"Shut yer trap!"
Serlen looks up and narrows his eyes. With Shalla Behind him he takes slow steps forwards and takes cover behind a rock. He looks up and sees a figure in the tree with an arrow prepared to strike.
"I cant quite make out the figure." He thinks, stepping a bit more forward.
He looked out from the rock seeing a bandit hopping up in pain. "I'd better give that bow user some assistance." He thinks and slowly draws his sword.
With a yell and Shalla behind him he jumps out, blade at the ready.

Silver's eyes widen as she notices the two humans. Both appear quite young, barely adults. The boy with the long blue hair seems to notice her, though given his squinting, she doubts he can actually see her. Which is just fine with her. She turns her attention back to her prey, when the newcomer suddenly yells and draws his sword. What?! Oh no no no no... That fool! What the hell is he thinking?!
The two bandits out in the open notice the commotion as well, and both draw their weapons; Blackwood unsheathes two gruesome short swords, while his bodyguard readies a giant battleaxe. Blackwood barks something at the tents scattered behind him, and immediately, a flood of bandits poor out, at least a dozen, maybe more. Damn! She could probably take them easily, but with these two children... She can't fight and protect them at the same time! Not in these close quarters!
Silver makes a split second decision and looses her blinding arrow at Blackwood's heart. The arrow hits it's intended target, burying the deadly point into the man's chest shaft deep. His eyes bulge and he stumbles, and the other bandits are momentarily distracted, searching for their leader's killer. Perfect. Silver takes the opportunity to leap from her tree, wings fully extended, her bow still drawn, the very picture of a goddess of war. She glides down to the two young ones, both of whom appear quite shocked by her appearance.
"We should probably use this chance to flee," Silver tells them. "There are more bandits on patrol, and once they hear the commotion, they'll come a running. I don't know about you two, but I don't like those odds."

" I agree. It was foolish of me to just charge out like that." Serlen says. his hand however, does not move from his hilt and he stared the strange woman down.
"I suppose we can trust you...for now." He reluctantt agrees. He gives a nod towards Shalla and waits for the mysterious winged woman to give the order to flee.

Silver arches a single eyebrow at the youthful arrogance of the boy's tone. "You can either trust me, or die. Your choice."
She looks back over her shoulder, just in time to see the bandits recover from their confusion. There must be over thirty of the dastards now! ...And they're now pointing at her and shouting. "Yup, that's our cue! I hope you can keep up! I'm not going to slow down for you!"
With that, she folds her wings like a jet, and rockets back into the safety of the trees on foot, all the while silently cursing her bad luck. She'd be lucky if her master didn't blow a gasket and destroy the mountain entirely.
Despite her earlier words, she looks back over her shoulder again, and is a little surprised to see the two children keeping up just fine. More angry shouting can be heard now, as the mob of unwashed men give chase. Master is going to kill me.
She's so absorbed in her dilemma, that she runs smack dab into something very solid. The collision knocks her flat on her rear, and leaves her seeing stars. What the hell... Wait... A man?

"I really don't like her attitude." Serlen mutters to Shalla. He looks back and turns around just in time to see the woman fall to the ground. His eyes widens as he tries to stop but tumbles on top of her followed by Shalla cursing as she falls over him.
