Talia tenses up and steps back when Catie's tail brushes her leg. She quickly regains her composure. "Ah, yes, illusion magic... It is easiest to think of it as three distinct aspects.
"Firstly, illusions." Talia extends her hand, palm up, creating a small blue orb. "Producing an image of something that doesn't exist. Something of this size is not much of a challenge. Something larger is, of course, more difficult. It is also possible to enhance an illusion beyond the purely visual, though it can become extraordinarily difficult."
"Hey!" the orb calls out in an annoying voice. Talia dismisses it with a shake of her hand.
"The second aspect, disguise, is my specialty, and quite fun, I must admit. It is similar to an illusion, though... anchored on a specific point. Usually I use it to appear as someone else, but it has other uses." A tail similar to Catie's suddenly flips out from Talia's shirt, wagging behind her. Talia giggles.
"See? I can disguise other people as well, but it is much harder when I can not predict their movements." She snaps her fingers, and Serlen transforms into a clone of Talia.
"Lastly, I can disguise inanimate objects as other objects." Talia slips a knife from her bag. With a snap of her wrist, it becomes a flower. "Add a little more detail..." The flower gains a wonderful fragrance. She offers it to Catie, but pulls it back before she can take it. "But remember, an illusion is still just an illusion," she adds seriously. She lightly touches the flower to her thumb, and a drop of blood appears as the flower reverts to a knife.
"Any questions?" Talia asks.
"What about the third aspect you mentioned?" Serlen asks.
"Ah, yes. Directly manipulating a person's mind. A lot of power can come from that, though it can be... exhausting, though it is much easier on some people than others. Hm... I can drum up a small example, I suppose." Talia closes her eyes, and begins to exude a weak aura of relaxation.

"My brother's... boss? Speaking honestly, I don't know him that well Samuel. All I remember from my visit last year is that he had a gruff voice and liked to keep busy.”
“He also tends to curse like a sailor nowadays.” Another hooded figure emerges from the forest. “150 years for a delivery Samuel? That might just be a record.” The woman reaches down to hug him with a warm smile.
“It’s always good to see you brother.”
“Likewise, and it’s always nice to look up at you sister.” A finger snap is heard after they separate. The hooded man opened a portal to their destination. He looks back at Sam and waves goodbye.
“Well, see you soon Sam. I’d love to hear of your travels.” Both siblings walk through the portal leaving the cat to return to his group.
“One of the lenses is broken, duh. The guy who made this for me’s grandson is in this town and he’s the only one who knows how to fix them. So can you help me look mister… Oh yeah! What’s your name? I’m Shinedown, or my name is Shinedown, but whether I am or am not isn’t the issue!” She exclaims both rapidly and excitedly.

"Good seeing you again, Shinedown." Arcturus pulled off the cover over his face. "I didn't really recognize you, mainly because Pearl has so many siblings."

"Well John, I hope to see you soon, can't wait to tell you about the travels," Sam said ass John and her sister disappeared into the portal. "That's if Helel doesn't skin me alive, when I get back," Sam sighed.
Sam began making his way back to the group. Sam noticed a, new face amongst the group. "Um hello nice to meet you?" Sam asked the stranger. "Is there anything I can help you with?" Sam asked

Shinedown had to catch her breath in shock. "Mr.Galantine! Oh no! I was suppose to be looking for you, but I forgot what for!" She clutched her head as she jogged in place thinking. It was important! I know it was! They wouldn't have said I had limited time if- That's it!
"Arcturus!" She suddenly grabs his hands. "It's been six months since you last saw Jam! Do you know what that means?"

"It's really been that long?" Arcturus looked in shock before smiling. "I didn't realize it, but I'm ready to go see them now."

"Them?... Oh! She's not born yet. Yeah, Jam just went into labor like 5 hours ago. But c'mon anyway! I bet she's almost out." Shinedown took him by the hand and ran straight into a wall where she opened her Alma.
A man watching the interaction from outside the Inn started smiling as they left. His illusion dispersed and revealed a man in a great white coat cracking his neck. You're stronger now sweet Arcturus, but it still isn't enough. A dome of darkness covered the city as he stretched. That is a concern for later now, I suppose.
Location: An Undersea City in the Shiryuan Ocean "I GOT HIM!" Shinedown decreed as they came out to the entrance of a private medical room. One Nymph panicking outside was all to be seen.
"She's not ready! It's gonna go badly I just know it! Time is moving slow! The minutes seem like hours! The final curtain call I see!"
"None of that is happening." A familiar energy based ghost materializes. "Aren't you suppose to be keeping calm anyway?"
"He's right Fray." Jet says peeking out the door. "You're the only one panicking."
"Pearl is almost done so please keep it down." Rhea says popping her head out as well.
Wha-Wha comes out to follow suit, but spots Arcturus. "Hey, Loverboy is here. Good job Shinedown."
"Yay, I didn't forget this time!" She exclaims letting go of Arc.

"So, I don't know how this works." Arcturus admitted to the nymphs.

"What don't you get? How to be a father?" Rhea inquired. "Well you're not exactly amongst the paragons of Fatherhood." Rhea glances over at Zappa and behind a set of chairs at a sleeping Tafl. As if sensing the jab, he shoots up awake. He makes a strange sound that's the mix of a roar and a yawn.
Zappa looks down shyly before stammering, "Uh.. Well, ya see, it's umm, the reason I wasn't there is uhh..."
Seeing Arcturus and then Rhea's glance, Tafl connects the dots and follows suit, "Yes well, in any case it's uhh... how do I put this? Umm.. what it boils down to is uhh..."
They both stammer like that for awhile before Zappa blurts out, "Ultimately.. DEATH IS a valid excuse!"
"Oi, What he said! You can't fight death!"
"Yeah! Even if that death is technically a suicide by mana overuse." The Guardian admits.
"Or, or if that death wasn't actually real, but instead a fake death kidnapping." Taffy added.
"It still counts." Zappa finished for them.
"You guys are idiots." Wha-Wha facepalms.
"Keep it down out here please." A nymph with naturally rainbow colored hair says popping out of the door

"What, are you talking about me?" Zappa and Tafl both inquired while pointing at themselves. Shinedown skipped over and adjusted Tafl's hand to point at Zappa.
"Oh, well the big bad vampire had me by the throat, what'd you expect? I was practically out of mana from our last encounter, as was he, and in my desperation I attempted to use a spell my best friend described to me that would let me exist in multiple places in space at once. And as he predicted I just burned up into the ether. Fortunately for me, Alucard can absorb mana, so he harvested my essence and I recuperated as magical energy in his body. Now I'm some kind of energy based apparition. Without my daughter as a host, I'd eventually just use up all my lifeforce and go poof, but being attached to her I can live on for quite some time. The only drawback is if I exert too much of my old power, It uses up her latent magik and that tires her out. I try to keep the burden off her and just exist now. Though sometimes I go dormant inside her to rest up."
"I call him an Achronian!" Shinedown exclaims. "Cause he's not too much like a ghost. He needs his own species name! It's parasitic."
"I still find that offensive." Zappa remarks. "It's not nice being called a parasite."

"I have a professor who would very much like to examine him." Arcturus studied Zappa before facing Shinedown. "So, when can I see Pearl?"

"Oh? And what is this? A talking cat?" Talia asks. "Fascinating!" She bends down to pat him on the head. "I am Talia, and I will be travelling with you for a bit." She flexes her arm. "Hired muscle, as they say!"

"Sigh, well long story short I use to be a vampire well until my boss gave me a mission and figured a black cat would be the best disguise," Sam said. "Anyways,I assume you already talked this over with Baron, and everybody else," Sam said as Baron and Catie nodded there head yes.
"Well as long as everybody is okay with you coming along Ms. Talia welcome aboard to our merry little band," Sam said.
"Okay if everybody is all set follow me, the location shouldn't be that much further ahead," Sam said leading the group towards there location.

"Vampires. Cats. Vampire-cats. Today just keeps getting more and more interesting," Talia thinks to herself. She slips her last mana potion out of her pouch and slowly sips it as they walk. "Better top off, this could be rough. Worse comes to worst, I guess it's not too late to cut and run, but..." She glimpses at Catie. "No, I'm seeing this one through."

"Alright everyone follow me," Sam said as everyone began to follow him deeper into the woods.
There was an awkward silence between the group as each little step drew them closer and closer to there destination. When finally, they arrived upon a cave and Sam instructed them to follow him. Sam lead them deeper and deeper until arrived at what appeared to be a dead end.
"Um Sam are you sure, you know where you are going?" Baron asked.
Sam just turned around and looked at Baron before speaking. "Baron take out your key now," Sam told Baron. As soon as Baron took out his key it began to radiate as a door appeared in the back of the key. "Now take that key and insert it inside the lock," Sam instructed Baron. Baron did as Sam asked and inserted the key into lock and turned the door knob.
When Baron opened the door he saw what looked like either a bar or lounge area. "Let me the first to welcome everyone to the Lavender Lounge," Sam said as him, Baron, and Catie entered the doorway.

Two days later...
Vincent and his family had just finished breakfast- he was still getting used to the idea of having a family again- and he and Elia were clearing the table when Vincent sensed a very familiar wave of power ripple through the mountainside.
"Well now," Vincent announced in surprise, smiling at his fiance. "I didn't expect him to take so long with a simple errand, but he's here now. Come Yekiri, it's time for you to meet my illustrious uncle."
They quickly finished clearing the table, leaving the dishes in the sink, and Vincent guided Elia out of the palace and into the city, all the way to Gorgath's hidden entrance. The stone door slid open with only a word, revealing an extremely large and muscular man- several inches taller than Vincent, which was fairly impressive- with medium length dark red hair worn in a single braid- similar to how Vincent wore his hair- and golden eyes. His skin was very tan, almost a bronze color, and he had a gruff red beard which had been recently trimmed. He wore a nice white button down dress shirt, stylish black leggings made from a rather shiny material, and traditional brown sandals with a raised heel. There was a rather large scar over his right eye, and he wore a single silver earring shaped like a dagger. He had a fairly large brown leather pack slung over his shoulder.
He beamed a wide, almost blinding smile when he saw Vincent and Elia. "Sorry it took so long, my boy. The embargo made trying to find a tailor with actual fabric in stock sheer hell."
Vincent returned the smile and placed his arm around Elia's shoulders. "Don't worry about it, it's fine. Raizel, meet my most gifted student, and the love of my life, Elia Arrington. Elia, this is my uncle, Raizel. He's one of the foremost members of the Shiryuan Pantheon, and one of the few people I trust above all else. I'd even trust him to protect you, and that says quite a bit."
Raizel gave a light laugh. "Flattery will get you everywhere, my boy."
Raizel smiled and turned to Elia, extending his hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Elia Arrington. I've heard a lot about you."

Elia gave Raizel her hand, and then a shy smile. "I was going to say the very same thing. Thank you for agreeing to help us put together the ceremony. Vincent has also told me that you will be the one to actually marry us. Is that correct? If so, you have my gratitude for that as well."

Raizel placed a chaste kiss on the back of Elia's hand, then smiled. "And you have my gratitude as well. It's about time this stubborn oaf found someone to settle down with. And yes, I will be the one to marry you two."
"Would you like to stay for a bit, uncle?" Vincent asks, gently squeezing Elia against his side. "Silver should be back in a few minutes. I'm sure she'd love to see you again."
Raizel shakes his head, and hands him the leather pack off his shoulder. "I wish I could. But unfortunately, there's a bit of a... Situation back home that requires my attention. So I'll take my leave for now."
He motions to the bag. "The Sun Cord is in there, along with any other fabric you might need. Once you have the dress made, call me, and I'll help get everything ready for the ceremony. Until then."
He turns back to Elia and gives a formal bow of respect. "It was truly a pleasure to meet you, Ms Elia. I know our family may be a bit more lively than most, but I think you'll fit in just fine."
With that, Raizel turned and walked away. He waved to them, then vanished into thin air. Vincent turned to Elia, and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. "We still have some time before Silver returns," he says, gently caressing her cheek. "Would you like to show me your dress?"

"Yes, of course!"
After Vincent and Elia had returned to the palace in Gorgath she hurried upstairs to retrieve her dress, and brought it to the main hall where she could show it to him, and also work to finish it. She had settled on making the bodice strapless and had added ruching. The bodice was had up by a thick band of fabric that would fit just underneath the shoulders, that had been ornately decorated and had a jewel set in the center. The skirt of the dress flared out slightly from the point where it separated from the bodice, and it fell in beautiful folds from there naturally. The ribbons that she had made and sewn onto the dress with Silver's help were grouped together to make one large ribbon, rested at the top of the skirt, wrapped around it, tied in the back, then separated into the individual ribbons again, and were left to fall from specific locations all around the dress, where they would add extra visual interest. Where each ribbon fell, about an inch from that point they were tied and had a gold, leaf shaped charm wrapped around them, and then they flared out again and continued until they reached a place that was just over half of the length on the skirt, and they had been cut and sewn to end in a slant. Although the dress might have looked simple from a distance, and with the exception of the gold charms and the jewel it was far less expensive than one might have expected given her budget, the true beauty and elegance was in the details that she had worked so hard on.
"All I really have left to do is to attach the sun cord, and then go to the village and let a seamstress there do the final fitting," she said, beaming with pride.
