Baron made his way to his mom's old room sure the room wasn't in the best of conditions but well after what transpired in Baron's room it was in much better condition. "Tommrrow I finally, get to meet him, hopefully its not a trap," Baron said as he fell asleep.
Meanwhile dood......
Catie getting bored looking at papers suddenly, remembered something something important. "Hey Sam I want to go visit somewheres," Catie said to Sam.
"Okay, where do you to go?" Sam asked Catie kinda of confused.
"Its someplace private and well can you do me a favor?" Catie asked Sam.
"Anything sweetie, you know your like a daughter to me," Sam said to Catie innocently.
Usually, Catie is happy or grateful to hear that from Sam but this time it struck something. A memory, a feeling she's been burying for quite some time.
"Sam, stay here and under no circumstances are you to follow me," Catie said in a deadly serouis voice.
"But Catie," Sam tried to respond.
"Like I said you are to stay here, I am going off alone," Catie said in an unusually angry tune.
"Catie what is it?" Sam asked concern.
"Its non of your dam business, bye you pathetic excuse for a cat," Catie growled towards Sam as she stormed out of the door.
"Catie what's gotten into you?" Sam wondered as he watched Catie gradually disappear into the forest.
What Sam couldn't see was the tears streaming down the face of Catie who for the longest time tried to bury this feeling. Yet, when Catie heard the word daughter from Sam she had a sudden flash of her own father. The picture of her dad came and went in her instant but that instant was all it took for years of sadness, guilt, and anger to finally reach the normally cheerful Catie.
"Dad, mom, I am so sorry I ran away from home, sorry of all those things I said," Catie choked out as she happened upon a place she knew so well. "Mom, dad, friends I am home," Catie said as she returned to the place of her birth, the place she grew up, Catie returned to her home.

"Fair enough", said Irving. "I only ask because there's a persistent rumor about a runaway princess from Cleatia that's filling the heads of lower-class peoples with hopes of finding her, turnin' her in, and getting a money reward that may not even exist. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing about something so delusional."

Vincent smiles, continuing to stroke her hair. "Fair enough. I promise I won't speak like that ever again."
He lays back on the bed, gently pulling her with him. "Stay with me," he breathes quietly, tightening his arms around her once more. "I'm out of the woods now; my mana is gradually recovering on its own. And I'm loathe to let you go. Permit me to hold you for just a little bit longer, just until I fall asleep."

"...Oh." was all that Irving could respond with.
Sorry Smalltoe.
"Well, I'll be sure to report anything I learn about this Elia girl", said Irving. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must return to my current business. Wanderin' around. Lost. On my own. In the middle of nowhere."
Irving about-faced and sped-walked away from the traveler.

"I was heading towards a town." Arcturus eyed him. "I'm not going to trip over her in the middle of nowhere."

Vincent woke several hours later, sometime around noon. He noticed two things almost immediately; one was the angel sound asleep in his arms, and the other was the fact his sleep had been peaceful and dreamless. A wide, happy smile spread across his face.
Just as I thought... You make all the difference, Elia. You're my anchor...
Her breath tickled his chest, and her arms were tightly locked around his neck, as if she was afraid to let him go. Vincent gently dislodged himself from the love of his life, and left the bed. Elia stirred, but did not wake, and Vincent smiled. He leaned over to kiss her forehead, then brought the blanket up around her shoulders and quit the room.
He ventured into the kitchen and began working on lunch. He made a light, summery lunch of pasta salad, and various deli meats and cheeses, then quickly set the table. He brought out two whole loaves of bread(He had a hungry dragon to feed), and made sure there was enough for seconds. He then set pitchers of lemonade and water on the table, and returned to his bedroom, where he found Elia still asleep.
He smiled and sat down next to her, gently stroking her hair. You always put on a brave face Yekiri, but you were the most tired of us all, weren't you?
"Lunch is ready, my love. Would you like me to save you some?"

Elia awoke to the pleasant sensation of Vincent stroking her hair. He seemed to be in much better shape, well enough to make lunch. "Yes dear," she answered, smiling, "I'm coming to get lunch. Would you like me to wake Silver?"

----------- POV Catie -----------
Catie finally making her way back to her home she took a few quick moments too look around. "I remember that place,me and the other kids always use to play there," Catie said while staring at a place in the center of town. "Oh I remember that's the place dad, took me out for my first hunt," Catie sighed while look at the woods. "Still to this day I remember the hurtful things I said before I ran away," Catie said thinking back to that fateful day.

"That would be fine," Vincent says, leaning down to kiss her briefly. "Let me change into somehing more appropriate for the table. I'll be right there."
He stands up, quickly grabs a white button down shirt and black leggings from his dresser, then walks towards the bathroom. He raises his free hand and mumbles a few words beneath his breath, and an aura of supreme power radiates from his hand, washing over the bathroom and returning everything to normal. He begins to walk forward, then abruptly stops in the doorway and turns back to Elia.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot. There's a second chair next to mine at the head of the table, Yekiri, that's reserved for the Queen. That place is yours now."
He smiles at her and turns into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

"I've already earned my place there? Is that why I was recognized and included in the murals?" Elia pondered before she went to wake up Silver.

Vincent quickly showered, dressed, and cleaned himself up. By the time he was finished, Elia and Silver were already at the table waiting for him. He smiled as he saw Elia in her rightful place, and sat down next to her.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Yekiri. I know it's not much, but I hope it's alright."
He takes a sip of his lemonade, and a sudden thought seemingly strikes him. "Elia, what would you think of having a traditional Shiryuan wedding? It's a bit different from a Cleatian wedding, but still mostly similar. And if I can rope one of my relatives into marrying us, it would make you an official member of the Shiryuan pantheon by right. It would mean dealing with my crazy family, but that's a small price to pay in my opinion. You would never have to worry about Cleatia again."

"You'll have to tell me what I'm supposed to expect in a Shiryuan wedding. I don't know anything about them, and I know next to nothing about Cleatian weddings, so any comparisons are sadly lost on me. But I would certainly consider it," Elia said.

"Well, for starters, the wedding has to take place on holy or sacred ground," Vincent begins, smiling widely. "But the area around Yggdrassil will serve that purpose perfectly. The attire for the bride and groom represents duality; the past, future, light, and darkness. The bride wears what is called a Sun Dress and a white veil, while the groom wears an outfit that reflects his own past and a special pendant called a Star Pendant. The outfit itself varies per person, but for me, it will be my old armor and my royal coat. The ceremony begins by lighting two special torches, and the ceremony ends when those torches burn out. The bride and groom exchange vows first, and then exchange 'hearts'. This is an item or something extremely important to you, which you give to your significant other as a physical sign of your bond. After that, the wedding rings are placed on a long golden necklace chain, which is then wrapped around the couple's shoulders, binding them together for the night. They are then proclaimed husband and wife, and share their first dance. The first dance is slow and elegant, and is only for the happy couple. Afterwards, the celebration begins, and the guests can join in on the dancing and signing. However, only the husband is allowed to dance with his wife, and vice versa. Once the torches burn out and the celebration ends, the couple then head home to consummate their marriage. The next morning, they remove their rings from the chain and give them to each other, in promise of their new life together."
Vincent smiles as he leans back in his chair a bit. "I'm probably not doing it justice by trying to explain it. It's a truly beautiful ceremony."

Hours later, Irving finally found himself back to a backwater town or another by following a road he found. He asked around and realized that he was, indeed, in Alibab. Fortunately, it wasn't particularly far from Irving's starting point for this ill-fated expedition to visit his adoptive home, so he could at least traverse familiar territory as he tried to start anew with hopefully better luck. If he were a religious-savvy guy, he would've begun praying to the god or goddess of good fortune. However, he himself did not know if there even is one.
The good news was that he doesn't have to rely on taking on another bounty for sufficient funds; the pact bearer he looted from provided with plenty of it. Enough so that Irving had the additional coin to hire someone else to do a little job for them.
Irving sat down and slowly began writing a letter. His handwriting was crude and poor, but legible... Though a reader would have to occasionally squint to tell the difference between some of the lowercase "o"s and "a"s. He decided to address the first of two possible recipients of the letter as her fake name, on the off chance that the courier delivering the letter gets the letter intercepted by Cleatians or someone willing to turn in a princess for riches. Not that they would probably last against Vincent, but then they'd probably get mad at him for accidentally selling them out.
Rosetta/Vincent
Just so you know, some guy was looking for someone named Elia. Pale, brown hair. Looked like the painting of some emperer or something I've seen in Cleatia. Pain in the ass to talk to.
I'm just warning you. Keep your head down.
-Irving
Also, don't trust other mercs beleiving certen rumors. Most of them will kill thier moms for enough coin.
Irving sealed the letter in an envelop, delivered it to the head of the courier agency, and gave instructions.
He pointed to a village near the base of some mountains on his map, keeping note of where and how Vincent instructed him to look for him when he wants to.
"Go here, and have the letter delivered to the village mayor. Tell 'im it's for the 'lord of the mountains'. The mayor'll understand."
The head (or at least the accountant) jotted down the instructions and took both the letter and the (fairly cheap) fine. "It'll take some days, but my employees are fast runners. They'll deliver yer letter faster than you could dream of. Satisfaction guaranteed, sir!"
"Thanks."
Irving left the agency and went to attend to his second order of business in the village... Going to the general store and buying a compass.

Many years ago
Location; In the middle of the woods by Barons home village.....
A young man whom has some of the same features of Catie with his long flowing brown hair wrapped in a ponytail, his silver tail wrapped around his waist, thick built, basic clothing and tall was in a house with his wife and daughter. The wife was about Catie's height with long flowing pink hair, a simple blouse, fair complextion and a gentle demeanor was having a discussion with her husband. The young girl Catie who was at the time around 25 or 26 but appeared 16 or 17 was also in the house.
"Dad what do you mean we can't leave the village?" Catie asked her dad.
"Like I said you are way too young to leave the outside is full of dangers and you may think you are ready but you are way to naive to know the true dangers," Harold (Catie's dad) said. "Just the other day I had to stop you from walking into a hunters trap," Harold told Catie in a stern voice. "Listen to me well Catie you are not to set one paw out of this village do I make myself clear," Harold growled towards Catie.
"Yeah stay here in this boring village, under your protective watch chief.... I mean dad," Catie huffed towards Harold. "Like you never wonder what was outside out of the forest," Catie said. "I just want to see the many wonders out there," Catie said.
"Catie sweetie I understand how you feel but I have to agree with your dad," Agatha (Catie's mom) told Catie in a sweet tone.
"You know what your both right fine, sorry I brought it up," Catie said in a fit as she stormed into her room.
"What are we going to do with her?" Harold moaned as he sat at the table.
"Don't you remember how you were as a pup?" Agatha said as she went to comfort Harold. "Last I check you were just as adventurous as your daughter," Agatha said.
"I know I just worry about her, I still remember the day when she was a little pup and a bandit made his way into the camp, and ran off with Catie," Harold said. "Thankfully, I was able to track her scent but to this day I worry about her," Harold said grabbing Agatha's hand.
"I know dear, I know but she is growing up fast she wouldn't be our little girl forever," Agatha said.
"I know, and that's what scares me," Harold said.
Later that night....
Harold and Agatha are sound asleep and Catie is in her room packing whatever she can fit. "Mom and Dad sorry but I know you wouldn't understand," Catie said as she wrote a farewell letter to her parents. "Please forgive me, but there is a whole big world to see and I want to see it, maybe we can share stories when I return," Catie said as she opened her window. Catie bolted out the window and she took one last look at her house, seconds later she transforms into a wolf and takes off into the woods
End of flashback...
Time; Current day dood
"Mom, dad, you guys would have love Baron," Catie said as she began to weep. "I am sorry for everything, I should have listened but instead I ran away like a child," Catie said pounding the ground. "It's not fair you should still be alive, I wanted you to be there," Catie said. "I wanted you to be there with your grandkids, meeting Sam, Silver, Vinny, Serlen, and Shalla we were all going to be a big family but because of me your dead," Catie said as she was lieing on the ground tears flowing.
Suddenly, Catie heard some rustling from the bushes and let loose an arrow towards the bush out of instinct. What Catie saw was a very scared squirrel running for his life. "Oh sorry there little guy," Catie said while wiping her eyes. When suddenly a butterfly, started flying by Catie and landed on her nose.
"Hey Mr. Butterfly what are you doing, achoo?" Catie said while sneezing. The butterfly began flying circle Catie like it was trying to get her attention. "What is it?" Catie said now completely curouis. Catie stood up and began following the butterfly. The butterfly began flying faster and faster til it reached its destination. "Umm that's where I use to live but what can I find there?" Catie asked as she reached the area the butterfly was. The butterfly landed on a shinny spot on the ground. "What can you be trying to tell me I don't speak butterfly," Catie huffed. As Catie reached into the ground she began to dig into the ground and found two things a letter and a locket.

Bgm; ( Catie last of her tribe (Cosmo Cannon FFVII)"Wait this letter it looks beat up," Catie said as she picked up the letter. "Wait is this from dad?" Catie said as she began to read the letter. Dear Catie my sweet daughter,
I don't have much time left, the poision the bandits used is slowly taking effect. While my time may be short, I want to let you know that I love you my sweet, sweet, lovely, Catie. I know you ran away from home that night I could see the determination in your eyes and nothing was going to stop you. Please have fun on this journey of yours and when you return please tell us of your journey. Oh and if you are fortunate enough to fall in love please may the gods have mercey on that guy. Ha ha ha just kidding. I love you Catie and please live a long and eventful life. Also when you return I expect to hear all about your journey........
Love Dad
PS. I hope you love this locket, it belonged to your mom. I gave it to her the day we first met. Take care my daughter.
Catie placed the letter down and opened the locket and it had a picture of Catie, her dad, and her mom smiling and laughing. The normally chatty Catie was silent as she placed the locket around her neck. The next thing Catie did was unleashed a howl filled with sorrow after everything that happened. Catie continued to howl as a certain cat made his way towards the sorrowful Catie.
