Warning: The following contains spoilers for Nova, not that anyone cares.
Location: Sand
"Hm...something tells me we aren't in Kansas anymore Jirachi."
The Wish Pokemon shrugged.
"The fact I can make that reference means...oh just blame Arceus. We're here to fight someone..."
Celeste scanned the endless sand dunes that stretched in front of him. The colour of the grain was similar to that of Orre's but something told him that's not where he was. His pockets felt horribly empty and his plain cloth duster hung loosely against his body. He didn't even have his glasses.
"I feel woefully unequipped for this. Even as a nomad my first coat worked as chain mail."
Jirachi floated idly, but made a few swinging motions. Celeste waved his hands about and shook his head.
"Either the sword isn't in this universe, or it isn't mine anymore. Arceus probably took it from me. Regardless..." He snapped his fingers and a few small sparks appeared, "it seems I have some new tricks, compliments of Dubstep and Rocket no doubt. Never let it be said that making friends isn't rewarding."
He looked around. Nothing but sand.
"Let us find out opponent then. Jirachi, up."
Gravity reversed and the two were flung upwards. It took a bit of flailing on Celeste's part to get used to doing this without his coat, but he stabilized himself in the air soon enough.

Contains Spoilers and Stuff. But not too much.
AuAustinoked around. Endless desert surrounded Victini and Him as far as the eye could see. The smell was of Orre still, but he longer smelt Jacquilyn's sweet aroma of flowers.
Victini perched on his shoulder. He always felt like a jungle gym when it came to Ace and Victini.
"Great. Why must I always wait for answers." Austin tok one last gaze around.
Better figure out what I'm supposed to do. Feels kinda like I'm supposed to fight someone. Well, if I run into someone that attacks me first, then fairgame.
Austin began walking in a random direction. Better save some energy if I do get into conflict. Victini simply smiled deviously, unkwown to Austin 's knowledge.

Celeste floated around.
"Jirachi, see anything?"
A few head shakes indicated a negative.
"Hm...well then lets send a signal. Doom Desire."
Two minutes later, a massive pillar of scorching hot starlight descended from the sky and lit up the sands.

A pillar of...something, shot up into the sky.
Austin saw it from a couple miles awaym
"Vic, Go fly agead. Let's get over there."
Victini did as told and Austin ran after it.
Occasionally he'd become tired and Have Victini give him a shot of energy. He had to stay up to game if there was a fight, since he'd recently noticed a lack of his drive and other weapons and pokemon.
Ausyin neared the pillar. Victini above him cried out. Austin looked into the sky where Victini pointed.
Something was floating there.

Celeste saw the two figures approaching him.
"...that kid? Strange. Wish on yourself, double strike across...there on step 2, evac on right signal. Lets meet them."
Gravity shifted again and Celeste and Jirachi gently drifted down toward the crater Doom Desire had made. Shards of glass resulting from the blast lay strewn around haphazardly. When he reached what he guessed was earshot he started calling out.
"Are you my...opponent?"

I suppose so. If he thinks so to then, probably. Cosmic forces and that crap.
"Yeah, I think so. I guess you're mine."
Austin squinted to further evaluate his so called opponent. It looked like a man. He definetly had a pokemon with him.
Maybe this'll be easy. I mean, I do have Vic and Even wothout a weapon I'm not exactly defenseless.

Celeste contemplated bailing due to the young oage of the boy across from him, but figured the powers that be wouldn't let him anyways.
"Hm, I didn't expect it to be just a kid. I'm the Doctor. What's your name?"
Jirachi hovered slightly in front of Celeste to take a better look

Victini did the same as The Doctor's pokemon.
Austin looked around. If we are fighting, he should know, in case I get serious.

Celeste sighed.
"Hi Austin. Yeah...I'm used to dealing with what life throws at me. Sorry."
He hit the ground as Future Sight struck. A 10 foot mass of psychic energy blasted through from behind him, over top his prone figure. It swept up sand and the shards of glass left over from the previous Doom Desire attack, and hurled it all Austin and Victini's way.

Dirty...
"V-shield!!"Austin shouted Throwing Victini in front of him. Victini used the practiced techinque and kicked a Large V-Create and used the fire.
The shards hit the flames and most burnt at the intense temperture..
A few made their mark or at least close. Austin's left arm now had a cut. Not deep, but big. Blood trickled down his arm.
Austin tried to keep calm. He definetly didn't even glance at his arm.
Victini was fine.
"Psychic Lock."
Victini instinctly knew what Austin meant, having had a previous double connection allowing their bond to enhance tenfold. Victini locked Austin's arm into a position that would keep the bleeding minimal.

Celeste raised his arm and Jirachi tossed him back up into the air in retreat by reversing Gravity. He flipped around in a fit of control loss, but managed to glimpse the Doom Desire that followed up the Future Sight, blasting downwards on Austin's position.
Neither of our attacks are very effective against Victini, but I'm not...quite cold enough to target the kid. Lets hope they split up
He gestured along another line in the sand and Jirachi noted the command.

Hmmm. I see. I can use that.
Austin and Victini separated. Victini flew Forward and Austin ran to the left side flanking them.
Vic should be able to take a hit or few. I have to use whatever I can find.Meanwhile, maybe Vic can Avoid those attacks if we evade.
Victini used V-Create and flew forward towards their opponents, despite the soon to hit attacks.

From the air, Celeste watched Victini tank the Doom Desire full on and continue after him.
Figures. Now to focus on Victini. Well we can't let it get close, that's for sure.
"Keep our distance!"
Two voids of gravity appeared, one below Victini and another above Celeste and Jirachi. This flung Celeste higher, up, over, and away from Victini's trajectory, while also attempting to drag Victini back down to the ground. Celeste gestured to Victini.
"Delay that last one and synch it up with a new strike. We have to wear it down."

Despite its efforts, Victini was being forced to the ground. Victini, try as it might couldn't escape the extreme gravitational pull.
Whilst The Doctor and His...Jirachi!? Were distracted, Austin got close enough to distinguish what pokemon it was.
Austin in range to do.. something.
Austin noticed some left over glass.
He picjed up a shard and aimed. He made emphasis to use his Psychic-locked arm, it would increase pressure thus catapulting it further.
Austin squinted and fired at the two floating above

A shard of glass embedded itself in the side of Celeste's leg.
AHH! Kid has a good arm...
Jirachi released a Wish to heal up the wound.
"Float...that way. Out of range. Never mind pinning Victini, let's move them both over a bit.

Ha! Retreat! Perfect.
Victini flew up to Austin after recovering.
Austin's arm was still hurt badly. Victini kept its psychic up and kept Austin's arm stiff. Austin and Victini gave chase to the doctor. They were on the offensive. Which was good. However, they'd be fools to count out the Doctor so soon.
"Vic, Psychic up some sand. Let's get some air. "
Victini Did so and his body glew its signature blue, matching Victini's eyes almost.
The sand began spiraling up and creating a circle around them in the air.
It was risky, but they were locking themselves into a homemadr sand tornado.
Victini was strained so it landed on Austin's shoulder and concentrated.

Celeste dug the piece of glass out of his body in wait for the wound to heal. He saw what his opponents were up to and he squinted.
...tactical miscalculation on his part. This might be over sooner than I thought.
Future Sight and Doom Desire triggered one after another. The explosion of psychic energy ruptured from the ground upwards, spraying even more sand around Austin and Victini and threatening to wrest control from them to toss them off balance. Immediately following that, Doom Desire fell from the skies above them. The searing pillar of light struck the tornado, fusing the sand into glass all around its target and blasting the entire mass towards the ground.

A massive headache pounded and assualted Austin anpokemoni, but they didn't have time to rest.
Doom Desire crashed forth upon them and superheated the sand the where stirring up. Victini acted on its own judgement having no time to take orders. Austin was used to this already.
Victini Acted quickly pulling off a blast of Psychic to knock Austin backwards out of the blast.
The glass shards hit Victini dead on.
When the stream had subsided, Victini's pure orange fur had become died in red blood and scrapes and scratches covered it. A Cinccino would have a heart attack.
Victini, hurt as it was, was the pokemon that could supercharge People and pokemon. In that regard, it was guaranteed To have plenty of energy. Alson being the Victory pokemon meant that it wouldn't give up easy.
Victini strugglingly flew onto Austin's shoulder, stumbling in the air.
"Vic, are you okay?Support for now. I'll take it from here."
With that, Victini focused all of its energy on Austin and pushed them off the ground using Psychic. Austin floated to the glass ground and gathered some shards. He pocketed a few precautiously, and had Vic carry the rest.
They Flew back about level with the doctor, and far enough back to avoid some attacks.

Wish healed Celeste's wounds as he watched his opponents fly towards him. He felt kind of bad, but decided to ignore it until afterwards. He's unavoidably killed plenty of people and pokemon. A kid would be new though, so he hoped he could avoid it.
"I'll need another Wish soon. Future Sight, and make a floating well about...there."
Gravity intensified in the air at a point partway between Austin and Celeste. Sand from the ground began to lift upwards forming a dune as the two combatants began rapidly accelerating towards each other.

Austin knew Jirachi's tricks, but couldn't figure out how to avoid Future sight. Doom Desire should be easy enough, though.
Austin Psychic-threw a few shards of glass. They accelerated through the air flying towards Celeste.
Victini continued its struggle to keep everything floating from Austin's shoulder. It boosted itself with energy, somrthing it hated doing. Victini found it selfish to do so.
