1: Excessive profanity is prohibited. Cursing is only allowed if the words are censored, and it is not intended to offend another user. If any Staff member feels a user has purposely cursed at another, with the intention to offend or harm, then that Staff is allowed to moderate the offending user, even if the word is properly censored. Appeals by the offending party will be made to the next highest authority. I.E, from Moderator to Lead Moderator, Global Moderator to Lead Global Moderator, and from Lead Global Moderator to the Admin. Once an appeal is made, and sustained, the offending party may ask another Staff of similar rank to look at their case. If the verdict is still sustained, the offending party will not be allowed to appeal again for 14 days.

This is being expanded to include when intentionally disruptive behavior in posts is excessive and continued even after prior warning, as it serves no purpose other than to agitate others as a form of trolling. As these behaviors may be interpreted differently by individuals, this rule will be upheld by moderation staff and related moderations may be appealed, at which time the decision will be evaluated by proper upper level staff and further action taken based on a consensus. If the decision is upheld by a group of moderators or by a global moderator, there will be an option to appeal to an administrator. An administrator's judgement is final, and no further appeal is available beyond this point, and any outcry beyond this may also become unnecessarily disruptive and subject to moderation. Bottom line, use common sense and don't keep pushing your luck if you know you're being disruptive, as it will only hurt you even more.
4: No threatening or harassing of any kind. Blatant threats or harassment are grounds for an immediate 14 day suspension, and depending on severity, grounds for immediate banning. More "subtle" attempts at threatening or harassing any user are still grounds for the same punishment. If a user feels uncomfortable with the way you are speaking to them and reports it, then the report will go straight to me personally. I take threats and harassment extremely seriously. If I judge your behavior not to be harmful or disruptive to the user in any way, you will receive a warning. If I judge the opposite, I will bring the matter to the attention of my Co-Admin, and we will decide if your behavior warrants punitive action.
5: No violent or otherwise inappropriate behavior. I really shouldn't have to say this. We aren't savages. Just try to keep things civil, and there won't be any problems.
6: No disrupting an author's work, be it a CYOA, short story, or other work. Playful derailing is fine, as long as the author allows it and you do not go overboard, I.E waste space or intentionally disrupt.
7: Absolutely no porn of any kind. Period. Offenses will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. If you are an author, and you must write an adult scene for your story, then please try to be as unspecific as possible. The less detail, the better. If more than one person complains to me about a scene being too graphic, and I agree, the author is liable to be penalized. The offending author will be given a chance to delete the scene in question and rewrite it. If the author refuses to do so, then I myself will delete the scene and the author will be suspended for 14 days. Repeating offenses are grounds for banishment.
8: Spamming. Spamming posts, for whatever reason, on any board or topic, is not permitted. On the first offense, you will be warned and asked to delete all the offending posts. If you refuse, or commit the same offense a second time, you will have rank and post count reduced and will be put into Probationary status. If you still persist, it will be grounds for suspension.
From now on, I will enforce all rules and I expect every Staff member to do the same. And I will personally enforce Rule #7. Any violations will be handled directly by me and only by me. If a Staff member is in violation of this rule, it will be grounds for immediate demotion and possible suspension. If any Staff member has anything to add, you may PM me or GX1997, and we will decide if the suggestion is valid.
And one final important note. Please, please, please for the love of dragons everywhere, if you have a problem, either report it or bring it to the Staff's attention. I am not omnipresent or omniscient. My staff are not omnipresent or omniscient. If we do not catch it, and you don't report it, then we can't deal with it. And that includes anything said or done by me or my staff. We are not exempt from the rules. If you feel any of the Staff has broken one of the official rules, please report it. Or just PM them and ask what's up. It's most likely a misunderstanding or unintentional. And if it's not, we'll deal with it accordingly. But please try to have some tact. Don't go screaming at the person you feel wronged you on the Social Board. It doesn't help. Also, spamming the Report function just for fun, or because you feel you aren't being heard, is a big no-go. It will be dealt with swiftly. I guarantee you, anytime someone uses the Report function, I know immediately and will check it out ASAP.
Bottom line, try to be nice and civil to each other. This isn't GameFaqs or Facebook or Reddit or 4Chan or any of those places. This is the Verse.
