June charges forward through the swarm, cutting a swath and assuming the others are close behind. And that Pussycat isn't. She desperately hopes to reach find the enemy mage first. The monkeys claw at her, unable to do much to her armor without any proper weapons. The few the dare to try to grab her find a hatchet buried in their skulls. The fewer still that dare scratch at Marth are cleaved in twain by Armads. She soon finds herself alone and surrounded, unable to see anything beyond the wall of monkey. They finally manage to find cracks in her armor and begin trying to pry it off. A flash of light leaves them all dead, and a lone woman standing at the epicenter of the devastation.
June's grateful for the unexpected breathing room, though the large, monkey-free area quickly starts to contract as more come swarming down. June slowly approaches the mage as she switches out Armads for her bow. "Er... Hello," she says, firing an arrow blindly up at the swarm above. "I'd sheathe my weapon, but... y'know. Those things. I assume you're the mage the Pussycat tasked me with eliminating?" June keeps firing arrow after arrow up at the swarm as a few corpses begin landing around them.
"Not that I plan to follow his orders, though. Damned fool. I'll personally guarantee your safety if you'd prefer to negotiate. I hope you do, that's what I'd prefer. Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm June, Car... er... Yuelian mercenary knight Outlander sub-commander person. Sorry if I seem a bit scatterbrained right now, I still don't have the hang of this newfangled bow yet." June grabs one of her special arrows, trying to remember which is which. She looses the arrow and it turns into a bolt of lightning, piercing through the ceaseless swarm. "Huh. Neat. Anyway, this isn't exactly the best place to chat. Or fight. Do you plan to invite us in?" Horatio strolls calmly along the battlefield, occasionally flicking a lightning bolt up at the monkey swarm. He's not worried about missing, it would be a near-impossible feat. He's impressed, actually, at how beautifully this plan fell to shreds. The first complication and suddenly the army is in utter disarray, all the Outlanders are scattered and fighting their own battles, and their commander is isolated. A monkey interrupts Horatio's musing as it swoops down at him, finding only empty air where Horatio had been an instant before, before the sharp crack of a staff against its skull ends its confusion. Horatio continues to amble in the general direction June went, in no particular rush.

Aylassa sees the gathering monkies, "Well looks like we got some unexpected guests, hey guys let me help with the monkies,". Aylassa unsheath her blade and it begins to radiate with mana and equips the wings of sacred ice. "Stand back everyone wouldn't want you to get caught up in the blast,". Aylassa began chanting a small prayer, almost as if she is asking the blade and the wings for power. "Frozen guardian who looks upon from the frozen hevans, may you grant me strength and freeze my foes in an unbreakable and eternal ice,". " BANKI" Aylassa called out as the blade and the wings let loose an intense light and engulfed Aylassa. When the light resided Aylassa had a pair of ice like dragon wings and an entire dragon tail made of ice. "Okay guys I leave the tree to you, I got some pests to deal with,". Aylassa took off to the skies and with her blade launched a dragon like beam towards a group of monkies that instantly froze and place and shattered. A monkey tried to sneak up from behind but the tail almost on instinct stabbed the monkey as it shattered. "Boo why do you guys get to have all the fun," Ann said as she took out both of her tomes. Ann started launching both dark and light shots into the crowd of monkies started. "Man these are me favorite tomes but ehhh got a backup pair and those monkies are bad for business,". "Pay attention boys this show doesn't come free," Ann said as she held her hands over both the light and dark tomes. Ann began to channel all the pages and her energy into emptying all the bages from her tomes. A dark and light serpentine like beam began to emerge and they became intertwined as they eradicated any monkey that got to close. "Prepare for my personal light and dark show after dark," Ann said with a wink as she closed the now empty tomes. Ann took the tones and tossed them into the base of the beams and when they made their way to the top the beams exploded like fire works of Black and White. Any monkey that was up in the fireworks were instantly destroyed. The monkies noticed Ann and was making his way towards her, when a hammer shot sent him flying. "Okie Dokie," Mario said to Ann. "Nice to be working with you again Mario," Ann told Mario. Bowser is now getting annoyed by what is going on he just wanted to beat up purple fog dragon. "That's it you losers get a first hand look at my awesome new form, now now try not to become too impressed,". Bowser then took out a Bowser Seal and ate it. Bgm: Great Lord Bowser awakens
"Really you said this was suppose to make me better but I don't feel," Bowser was complaining to Kamek when a light began to radiate from him. Then Bowser let loose a mighty beam as the light blinded the monkies near by. The light coming from Bowser pierced the sky as its light could be seen for miles. Finally, the light from Bowser grew dimmer as his transformation was complete. Two figures could be seen walking out of the light a Triceratops and Bowser but he seemed different. Bowser's Fangs and claws were alot sharper, he had a cape which had the Bowser Emblem draped across his back (the Cape was also covered in spikes apparently), Bowser had a lance in hand which was a crimson red and was wavy like design. The triceratops was donned in battle armor and let loose a couple of fireballs. BGM: Great Lord Bowser Battle Theme"Gwa ha ha ha, I can get use to this," Bowser said as he let loose an intense blast of flames towards the foe. The flames instantly incinerated the monkies reducing 5 hem to ash. Bowser grabbed another monkey flying towards him, and tossed him how hard as he could into the ground. Finally, Bowser took his lance and twirled it as hard as he could creating a mini vortex engulfing the monkies. The triceratops Bowser was riding let loose a couple of Firaballs on the monkies and impaled a couple of monkies with its horn. Bowser then summoned one of his more trusted minions Petty Pirahna (it looks like a giant flower with a pair of stem legs and leave arms) who flew around either eating the monkies or tossing an odd sludge on them which caused them to slow down or killed off some of the weakened monkies. Catie was switching between using her Sniper and whip to take out the monkies, Sophie also aided with her Bow and Magic. Finally, Van was unleashing all sorts of spells and techniques he learned from his seven years of training in the cathedral.

"There are many good reasons why you wouldn't want to go into the tree right now. I gave up on searching the interior some time ago. And beyond that, I wouldn't be able to let you in anyway." Elia said, keeping her voice level. "I would like to avoid conflict, but I will do what I have to in order to retain control of the tree. I'm sorry. I have my reasons for this, just as I'm sure you have your own for being here. Too much is on the line for me, Lady June."

June looks at the battle still raging in the distance as the army finally begins to rally and advance, though there have been quite a few casualties. At least some of the Outlanders are finally catching up. "Right now I don't care about getting home, Oz's problems, politics... All that I care about is getting my men into the shelter of that tree. I don't want to fight you, truly, but if words can't resolve this quickly I'll be forced to cut you down. Please, step aside."

"Lady June, please gather your allies. I'll create a barrier to protect them from the abominations."
She may not have going home as her first concern, but I do. I can't afford to mess up my chance to get back to them...

Meanwhile outside the tree....
Catie seeing that Ann and Baron were okay against the monkey shifted her focus towards Irving. Catie easily picked off a couple of the monkies with her bow. Suddenly, a scent caught her attention, it smelled familiar but how could it be his. "Vinny is at the palace he isn't here," Catie thought as she continued to pick off monkies

June studies Elia for a moment, then nods. "Very well. I feel I can trust you. If you think you can hold these monstrosities at bay long enough for a proper conversation, perhaps we can negotiate a peaceful solution. But stay behind me. I don't fully trust General Pussycat, and I'm not sure what he'll do if he doesn't get to sate his bloodlust." She brings Marth around and stops in front of Elia. She raises Armads above her head. "Everyone! To me!"

Aylassa is the first to arrive next to June. "Ms. June with your permission I will stay outside the barrier to help with the monkies and possibly get some of the soldiers to safety," Aylassa said with a bow.
"I am here for whatever you need June," Catie said as she gave June puppy dog eyes.
"Same I am here for whatever you need whether its negotiations or to help Aylassa get some of the others to safety," Baron told June.
Sophie, Ann, and Mario were the next to arrive. "We are here June ready when you are?" Sophie said.
"Yawn these monkies owe me a couple of new tomes," Ann said. "But ehh here for whatever, oh and mysterouis mage lady here have a fish, free on the house," Ann said to the stranger as Ann gave her a fish.
"Let's a go," Mario said.
Finally, Bowser arrived in all his Bowserness and looked bored if anything. "Gwa ha ha, chumps I know, I know this new form of mine is awesome," Great Lord Bowser said.
"Hey July gotta say your technique is okay,". "Yet, your making such a rookie mistake, if you wanna kidnap the princess you gotta tie her up or put her in a bird cage at least,". "I mean right now the princess could just walk away if she wanted to,". "But ehh its fine when it comes to kidnapping princesses I wrote the book on it,". "Next time you gotta use some common sense or something like that," Bowser told July while letting out a mighty laugh.
"Anyways my fist and Puff Daddy's face over on the tree got a meeting,". "I leave the light work to you chumps,". "Smell ya later," Bowser said as he walked away made his way back to the gang of monkies.
Bowser's mount Rezor on the other hand didn't go anywhere's in fact it was making whimpering noises towards June.
"Awww June I think he likes you," Catie said. Look at the little guy its almost like he wanted to be petted by you June," Catie told June.

Irving slipped behind a tree and stopped to reload both of his firearms once the flash of light destroyed most of the monkeys. Panting, he took a look around his surroundings. Most of the other Outlanders are at or are approaching June and some stranger at the base of the tree. They weren't fighting, which wasn't particularly surprising with June at the helm. They didn't have any monkeys to deal with at the moment. Further back, however, some remnants of monkeys survived, and there were just enough of them to continue slowing down the Yuleian army's advance. Irving looked up, and could see more monkey spawn beginning to descend for more.
Irving took a deep breath before sprinting over to the other Outlanders. He only paused when one of the new monkey spawns intercepted his path. He unsheathed his machete and thrust it into the beast's abdomen. He tackled the monkey to the ground, jumped back before the monkey could retaliate, and shot it with a trio of type-7 shots until it laid still. He pulled his machete out of the corpse before continuing to run.
Meanwhile, further ahead from where Irving had originally started sprinting from, Alexus was in combat against four remnants of the initial swarm. He swung his blade, the bandages having long fallen off, horizontally in order to smite two of them; one dodged in time by flying upward, the other was cleaved. A third monkey tried to grab Alexus from behind, but he brought his hand to his back, threw the monkey over him and toward the ground, and stopped on its neck to kill it instantly. The monkey who previously dodged lunged dived down, acquired an assault rifle from a fallen Yuleian rifleman, and fired blindly in Alexus's general direction, hitting him with a pair of bullets. The general grabbed a tomahawk hanging from his belt and threw it at the monkey, lodging it firmly in its skull. As the monkey slumped back, Alexus pried the rifle from the abomination and emptied the magazine at the monkeys further back that were harassing the other soldiers. The fourth monkey finally struck, lunging at the Legionaire general, only to be intercepted by a fiery fist that knocked it to the ground. Alexus stomped on its ankle, pinning it to prevent the creature's escape, as he reversed his grip on the blade and stabbed it into the creature. His wounds began closing as his blade absorbed the vile thing's blood.
Distasteful.
Alexus, free of distractions for the time being, turned his attention to the distant base of the tree, starting to run in that direction himself.
"What are you waiting for?!" Alexus demanded of June. "Time is short! Strike her down!"

"...so in short, I'm now the team babysitter," Joshua concluded.
Yancy chuckled. "Sounds like your skills are getting put to good use. Quite an adventure you've had in the past few days."
"It's only somewhat my own fault," Joshua said.
The turned the corner to finally reach the hallway where Nobunaga and his kids had their room. Joshua lowered the volume of his voice.
"A word of advice," he muttered. "From what I've seen from this guy, he's used to having his way; trying to intimidate others into submission. Try not to show any sign that he can push you around, if he tries."
"O-oh... Okay," Yancy whispered back. "I'll try."
Joshua nodded before letting go of Yancy's hand and gesturing for her to wait a short distance away, in order to give Nobunaga space to be introduced to someone else, and less of an excuse to be angry should she possibly get a passing glance at one of the kids. He slipped his mask on and knocked on the door.
"It's Joshua," he said.

Nobunaga looked up from the small desk near his bedside. He had been intently studying a map of OZ for the better part of the day and it had done nothing to help the uneasy feeling deep in his gut. It was there, nagging at him, and he couldn't for the life of him figure out what it heralded, what his subconscious was trying to warn him. It was infuriating. And it left him in a foul mood. His children paused their game of cards and looked up too.
Nobunaga slipped his mask back on, motioned for Aris and Leo to stay back, then went to answer the door. "What is it?" He demanded gruffly.

"There's someone I want to introduce you to," John Doe said. "Do you remember those cards the queen talked about two days ago?"

A light seemed to flicker on in Nobunaga's dark eyes. "I do. I'm guessing you managed to figure out how they work?"

John Doe nodded. "Apparently, there's a source of energy in this world called 'ether'. It seems as though these cards 'activate' in a large concentration of them. We've managed to summon someone, actually." He looked inside to make sure the kids weren't in the immediate line of sight before stepping to the side and gesturing for Yancy to step to his side. "This is Yancy. Yancy, this is Nobunaga. He's the 'leader' of the group, like I mentioned earlier."
Yancy cleared her throat before offering her hand for a handshake. "H-Hello. Nice to meet you."

Nobunaga manages a small smile and gently shakes the young woman's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, miss Yancy."
He steps aside and opens the door wide, motioning inside. "Joshua, I'd like you to explain to me in detail everything you can about this... Summoning process. I'll speak to the Yuelian researchers at a later time. Miss Yancy, you're welcome to sit with us. This concerns you as well, after all."
Inside the room, there was no trace of Nobunaga's children. At least for the time being, they knew to remain invisible.

"They would probably explain better than I can, but I'll try to answer as best as I can."
John Doe nodded as the two of them entered the room. He noticed a suspicious lack of children in the room. Doe raised his hand, pressing a hidden button in his mask under the guise of scratching his head. He took a cursory glance around the room with thermal vision to look for them. Anyone looking at him would probably think he was looking for a place to sit, or possibly just seeing how nice of a room it was, like what his companion was doing.
"Where should I start?" John Doe asked.

Nobunaga guided Joshua and Yancy to a small table, with several wooden chairs set around it. He watched Joshua scan the room, knowing exactly what he was looking for and knowing he wouldn't find them.
"You won't find them. I haven't yet decided if Yancy is trustworthy, after all." Nobunaga's voice flashed telepathically through Joshua's mind.
Once Yancy and Joshua had taken a seat, Nobunaga joined them. He studied Yancy for a few moments before speaking. "Fascinating... You're a perfectly normal human. There's absolutely no signs of interdimensional or cross-universe travel on you. All the Outlanders who arrived via Yuelia's ritual bear traces of interdimensional wear. The more powerful of us have even been significantly weakened by the trip. But you appear perfectly fine."
Nobunaga's mind worked furiously. I might be able to use this to get home...
He turns to Joshua, suddenly very serious. "Tell me everything that happened. Describe the summoning ritual. Spare no detail."

John Doe sighed internally at the telepathic message. ...I miss Benga. And Mewtwo, even.
Still, I hadn't detected any signs of them, hot or cold. That's interesting to see; they don't just go invisible, it's like they've entered another realm, as if they used Phantom Force. Or just left the room, but signs suggest that the father wouldn't be approving of that.
While Nobunaga spoke to Yancy, Doe turned off his thermal vision and sat adjacent to her.
"W-Well, I'm not really anyone special," she said. "As far as I know, I'm just a perfectly normal human being. There isn't a lot to change."
John Doe crossed his arms in thought. "The summoning wasn't much of a 'ritual'. Ether is apparently the source of life in this world, and yet it can come in various forms. The researchers had a device and glass room arranged where they could turn refined liquid ether energy -- a renewable fuel source -- into a mist-like concentration for experimentation. We left the card of her in the room, it trembled a little in response, and then she appeared in its place in a flash of light."
"I can't explain a whole lot from my point of view," Yancy said. "It sounds like I was a card for days, but for me, I was still in my world up until moments ago. It's like everything changed during the time it took me to blink."
Or try to sit down only to fall on my butt instead, she thought to herself.
"We were in the same room not long before I first arrived in this world," John Doe picked up. "A few minutes passed between the time I left and the time I was taken from my world. When she materialized, she also said that it was a few minutes since I left when she came, despite it being days from my perspective. I theorize that we must have been 'taken' during the same time frame, only she, and probably the other people that are currently cards, was stuck in a sort of limbo where they are unaware of their carded state or any passage of time during it."
Still doesn't give an answer to whether it seems as if we disappeared from our world from the perspective of someone who isn't also here. Would Nelson be freaking out? Would the medical staff be even more understaffed? Would Mewtwo be doing something about it?

Visibly angered by the words of the... unusual Outlander, and also by Alexus' arrival, Elia wasted no time creating a barrier in the immediate area, ensuring that the troublesome foes were kept out, but also out of need locking out the otherwise friendly Outlanders who just happened to lag too far behind June. A few had wasted no time gathering, and so they were protected from the abominations.
"It's the best I can do right now to keep my word. I can't extend the barrier far enough to protect all your allies without letting the pests in as well," Elia said, looking at Alexus in particular.
