(My sword hand must contain it. Down sword hand down)
Lana was making her ways through the hallway when she heard people talking. "Old fart," what sounded like a little boys voice called out. "Hmm I wonder what that can be?" Lana said as she went towards the source of the noise. When Lana spotted what looked like an older man with interesting animals was talking to a pair of kids. "This should be interesting," Lana said while leaning against a wall further down the hallway.

"Yes, I am ready. Will we be departing at once?" Elia asked as she stepped out of the room, with her few belongings stored inside a satchel.

(Because my tablet was acting up and I made the mistake of not reading everything)
Bowser had no idea what lord oga boga was saying when he was talking about blood lust yet, he did get the part where masked dude said Bowser was needed. "Looks like my good buddy finally realized he needed my help after all," Bowser said giving Nobunaga a pat on the back. "Gwa ha ha, because you asked nicely I shall grant all you losers a chance to see my majestic and awesome flame breath," Bowser said very triumphantly like he won something. "By the way what's blood lust?" Bowser acted Kamek who just face palmed himself.
"Psst, Nobunaga if you ever need somebody from Bowser's camp with at least a little bit of intelligence you would probably be better off asking those two older turtle fellows," Alyssa said in reference to Kammy and Kamek. "Anyways I am ready for my part when the time comes, also if you need help with that fog of yours just let me know," Alyssa said.
"So Mr. Nobunaga what would you like me and Catie to do?" Baron asked. "I don't have much besides wind and fire magic, and some vampire abilities," Baron said rather sheepishly. "As you seen earlier Catie here can turfn into a wolf so maybe her sense of smell could help out" Baron said

Celeste was busy trying to interface with Anthea's phone, so he just responded with a "Later. Doing magic. Jirachi please, down by 30..." He sprayed something on the insides of an alarm clock as Jirachi stared at a tuning fork intently. An earpiece nearby vibrated, and Celeste smiled.
Anthea responded more properly, "Well, if I were going to fight I wouldn't fit into your plans so...just do your thing and I wont get in your way."

"We will," Ethan replies, inclining his head to her. He steps aside and allows the two generals to walk in front, while he stays behind and walks alongside Elia. "We'll have to fly to the tree, as walking or riding will take too long. And the Generals here assure me teleportation magic is out of the question. Have you ever flown on the back of a dragon before, Elia?"
------
Tears suddenly welled up in Aris's eyes at the mention of her mother. "You... You don't know anything! How dare you try to judge my brother and I!" Aris brushes past Joshua and runs back down the hallway, wanting only to be alone for a while. No... That isn't what she wanted. It was the opposite. All she wanted was her parents, and her home. Daddy, where are you? Please, come back... I... I need you...
A similar flash of pain crossed her brother's face, and he quietly disappeared into the shadows, vanishing down the hallway.
------
Nobunaga thinks for a moment. "On second thought, Irving I'd like you at the southeastern bridge, along with you, Baron, and Catie. I will leave the three of you with the destruction of that bridge. Bowser, Lady Alyssa, and anyone not in the Bridge Teams will wait with me at the central bank of the river. Now, those of you who have not already done so, I ask you to drink the concoction Celeste made so that we may all communicate telepathically. For non humans, please place one of these speakers in your ear."

"Wha--? H-Hey! Wait!" called out Joshua as the girl ran past him on the brink of crying.
"Nice going", said Grinn.
"Making little girls cry should be punishable by death", Zoroark agreed.
They started it! That wasn't even directed towards her, why is SHE the one crying?!
Joshua turned and gave chase, his Pokemon following behind. He ran past someone wearing a pink dress. Probably eavesdropping, but he didn't have time to stop and chat.
I can't just let her run off like that when the soldiers are bustling and the alarms are raised!
"I knew it!"
Irving took his share of the concoction apparently made for instant Type-4 on the go. He was about to down it when he recoiled at the stench of the concoction, namely due to his sharper sense of smell in his current state.
If I were gettin' paid, I'd pay extra for this alone.
Holding his breath and tasting as little of the liquid as possible as he downed it, he shook his head and turned to his two bridge buddies.
"Hope yer ready."
(I'll add Glinda's thing later)

"Well good luck with the mission Barron and Catie," Starlow said to them. "Hey Chippy what gives?" Bowser asked disappointed. "Well I would say good luck but well.....bye," Starlow said as her, Mario, Kammy, Bowser Jr and Charlie stepped through the portal. "Well I guess all we can do is wait," Starlow sighed. Charlie was just laying on the ground with a depressed look on his face whimpering about Alyssa not being there. Mario went up to the dog to try and comfort him but Charlie just looked confused when he heard nothing but gibberish coming out of Mario's mouth.
"So umm what do we do its not like me and him can just stroll around the palace," Kammy said. "Well we could look for Lana and talk with her," Bowser Jr said as Charlie perked up at the mention of Lana. "She's the princess that loud mouth said found you in the middle of town," Starlow started as Bowser Jr. shook his head yes. "Well I guess we can ask the queen if she needs anything while we wait," Starlow said as the group waited in the throne room of the palace.
---------------------------
"Wow that was rude of him for making that cute little girl cry," Lana said to herself. "Maybe I should do something," Lana said but then she noticed the jerk run right past her with some type of creatures following him. "Sigh we must be desperate if we are letting those strange creatures ......... never mind," Lana said as she remembered who was responsible for bringing Bowser to the palace.
"At least it looks like this outlander is going to apologize to her, might as well watch have nothing better to do," Lana said while she leaned up against the wall.

"Baron do I have to drink this?" Catie moaned while holding her nose. "Well if we want to communicate in the fog we (gulp) have no other choice," Baron sighed staring at the potions. "Sigh why can't they make a potion that smells sweet," Alyssa said looking at her bottle.
"Glad I don't have to take that, right sire," Kamek said to Bowser. "How do you use this infernal device?" Bowser roared at the speaker. "Don't you know who I am, you better listen to me or else," Bowser threatened the speaker. "Sire hold on one moment," Kamek sighed as he put the speaker into Bowser's ear. "I could have done that if I wanted to I just didn't feel like it," Bowser huffed towards Kamek.
"I feel sorry for Kamek I too know what its like to deal with an stubborn, hotheaded, overgrown child," Sam teased Baron. "I was never that bad," Baron said. "Well, there was that time you had a friendly duel to the death just because Serlen didn't want to talk to you back in Vinny's place," Catie said to Baron. "Great you too Catie," Baron sighed. "We jest out of love," Sam told Baron. "Yeah Bowser....Baron we jest because we love you," Catie told Barron. "Why do I feel like you snuck that Bowser in there on purpose?" Baron sighed.
"Well are yo guys ready to take this and be done with it?" Alyssa asked as the three held the potion and gulped it down as fast as possible.
"Bleh it taste like s***," the three of them said. "Well I will see you three later I have to go with my good buddy Bowser over there," Alyssa said as she went towards Bowser. "Well Catie looks like, we are with a fellow person from Arstur," Baron said in reference to Irving. "Who's that Barron?" Catie asked. "Oh yeah you weren't here when we introduced one another this is Irving," Baron said to Catie. "Hi nice to meet you," Catie said as she gave Irving a big hug. "Sigh, sorry about that my wife tends to get uncomfortably friendly around new people," Baron said. "So this is your other form," Baron said. "It seems very interesting what's it like?" Baron asked Irving

"Yes, I have, actually," Elia answered, reminded of several occasions when she had done so in her youth. Even though quite some time had passed since she last did that herself, it was something the children were quite fond of. Now she would have a new story to tell them about her own adventures when she saw them again. Oh, how she looked forward to that day, and seeing their faces again, even if they were faces of disbelief... They never believed her those days whenever she told them about her unusual and exciting experiences...

Having relayed her desired orders to Alvis, this gave Glinda time to attend to her own, personal affairs. She was about to instruct the Outlanders that did not participate in the mission and followed her back into the capitol to remain in the throne room as she stepped out, but the mention about a certain princess gave her pause.
"I believe it best if you all remain here for the time being", said Glinda. She then bent down to get more toward Charlie's level. "However... Say, Charlie? I am about to go visit Lana now, and our soldiers will not be alarmed at the presence of dogs. You may accompany me to see her, if you wish."
Glinda smiled at the dog before standing back up and walking out of the throne room and beginning to check Lana's room first.
"DON'T F***ING TOUCH ME!" yelled Irving in a panic, instinctively recoiling as Catie hugged him, including forcibly pushing her toward the ground.
"S***, sorry", stammered Irving in response. "Just... I don't like being touched... So don't pull that stuff, alright?"

"Catie you okay?" Baron asked. "Yeah, I am fine meanie," Catie said sticking her tounge out at Irving. "You have to be careful, not everybody is use to your unique brand of friendliness," Baron told Catie. "Okay," Catie replied as she preceded to skip around bored. "Sorry about that friend," Baron told Irving.

"Well Charlie you want to go see the princess?" Starlow asked. Charlie immediately got up and started following Glinda. "Well looks like its just the four of us," Starlow commented. Mario sat on one of the chairs pulled down his cap and started sleeping. "Sigh at least we are not stuck with Bowser," Kammy said. "I'm bored," Bowser Jr said.

Ethan smiled at Elia's answer. He knew that faraway look in her eyes well. It was the same look he had seen countless times in the eyes of his sailors, on a long voyage. It was the look of one yearning for home. Ethan tried not to think about it. There was nothing he could do right now, and thinking of his family would only bring him pain. Still... She reminded him of Nagi when she was younger, if only a bit.
The Generals lead them through the palace halls towards the main entrance, and eventually, out into the city proper. The city was nothing like he had imagined. Even Ethan, for all his years and wisdom, was surprised. For one, the city had multiple levels; districts, according to General Galahad. The uppermost district of the city, or Royal District, is where they were now, and was dominated by towering emerald spires and glowing walkways in the sky leading between them. The palace stood in the very center of the district, atop the largest tower of all. Airships of varying sizes buzzed all around them like flies around a rotting corpse, and the walkways- Called Skyways according to the General, go figure- were bustling with people, wearing exotic clothes the likes of which Ethan had never seen before. It was like visiting the Eastern Lands for the first time, back home. The sight was breathtaking.
Below them, the clouds obscured the rest of the city. "Have you ever seen anything like this before?" Ethan asks softly.
----- Aris picked a random room and dashed into it. She didn't know why that man was following her, but all she wanted was to be alone for a while! Ignoring the over-the-top luxurious accommodations of the room, she found a corner near the bed and wardrobe, sat down, hugged her knees, and cried.
-----
"Is everyone ready?" Nobunaga asks. "If so, I'll take the first group over now. We'll be using a kind of... Teleportation, but it can be hard on the senses the first time. Make sure you hold your breath."

"No. I take it you haven't either," Elia answered as she continuously turned in all directions, unable to process her surroundings due to just how foriegn they were. "Is there... anything here that's even natural? It all looks man-made. I can't even identify most of the materials..."

Ethan shakes his head. "I saw something that might be considered similar, long ago, but... Like this? I don't think there is anything like this, Elia."
Surprisingly, General Galahad turns to them, and he decides to break his apparent one sentence rule. "Not everything in the city is manmade, no. There are parks and other natural sights on the Ground Level, and the countryside beyond the capital is lush and beautiful. We are blessed with bountiful rain and rolling green hills, and we would not risk those wonders for our own benefit. To do so would be an affront to the Green Dragon, who provides for us. The materials you see here are unique to Ephesus; it is little wonder you haven't seen them before."
A brief look of surprise flickers across Ethan's face. "Your people worship a dragon?"
Galahad politely inclines his head. "Indeed. Now you can understand why your presence here is... Controversial. That is why we are escorting you; your existence cannot be made public. To that end, I must ask you to only transform when there is no one nearby."
Ethan grunts. "That's easier said than done, General. I don't think you understand just how large my true form is. But I understand the situation, and will respect it. I have no intent on interfering with your religion."
Galahad nods again, apparently satisfied with that answer. He waves a dark red airship over, that was already heading this way. The royal insignia was painted on the side of the ship. The driver parks the ship mid air, steps out, and salutes. He was a soldier. "All set and ready to leave at any time, Sir. Ma'am."
Both General Galahad and Petrine return his salute, and he steps aside. Ethan and Elia step inside the ship first, and are ushered into two seats at the back while the Generals sit in front. The ship was a small vessel clearly designed for speedy transport, with special glass windows made to resist strong winds and air pressure, and comfortable brown leather seats.
"Generals, Sir, Ma'am, if you'll buckle in, we can get underway immediately," the driver announces over the speaker. "The buckle is located near the window side of your chair, and the belt is located on the opposite side behind you. We have an expected flight time of twenty minutes to our destination, the northern plains. Skies are expected to remain clear, and turbulence is expected to be minimal. This should be a smooth flight. If you get airsick, or think you might, there is a sickbag in the compartment beside you. Commencing preparations for lift off. Preparations complete. Is everyone buckled in?"
Ethan quickly straps himself in, and turns to Elia. "Do you need help?"

"I may not be familiar with many things in this world, but there are still some things that I believe I can learn to do by my lonesome. Of course, when they always have well trained individuals on staff around the clock, ready to walk you through any task step by step in painstaking detail, almost like holding a child's hand as they're learning to walk, well, they don't leave much - or anything at all really - that you're required to figure out on your own. What a lovely system. I can only imagine the dedication and time it took to set up such a system and ensure that it continued to live up to such high standards and expectations over the course of the program. It truly says it all about this country and its organization."
Maybe I'm not too out of practice when it comes to all this silver-tongued, political, polite - whatever you might say it is - speech. Of course, I never really paid attention to those lessons... I'll just have to judge based off of everyone else's reactions. I might also use this as an opportunity to see who's used to politics and can see through my words. Hopefully if Ethan isn't fooled - and with as old as he is and the different things I'm sure he's seen and experienced, I'm sure he won't be fooled - he'll be able to see that the jab is not aimed at him.

I dealt with that other guy's method of teleportation. Pretty sure nothing would compare.
Irving cracked his knuckles in anticipation.
As Glinda neared Lana's room with Charlie in tow, she thought it peculiar that the door was partly open. Upon getting closer, she began to feel great worry as she heard the sound of sobbing from within.
Glinda knocked on the door. "Lana, sweetie? Is that you? I'm coming inside."
Entering slowly, she looked around the room to see where the sobs were coming from. She saw a girl hugging her knees by the corner of the bed, crying. Glinda was slightly relieved that it wasn't her own daughter crying, but was nonetheless distressed by the sight.
Glinda knelt down to the weeping child's level. "Hello there. Are you not one of Nobunaga's children? What ails you?"

Ethan gives a small, knowing grin as he leans back in his chair and remains quiet. If I had known you were such a spitfire, I wouldn't have asked. This should be really interesting...
"It is as you say," Galahad replies calmly. "But our society is like so for a reason. A couple centuries ago, our people were little more than warring tribes. Our nation is young, and most of us remember what it was like to be lawless. You may find this surprising, but we Ephesians have a much longer lifespan than most others. Above all, we wish to spare our children and our children's children from the chaos and war that we once knew. To this end, we have, as you say, our system, and we work to end war for good. We are not the evil barbarians so many seem to think we are; the truth, as I'm sure you can understand, is much more complicated."
With that, Galahad went silent, and didn't speak for the rest of the flight. The flight went by very quickly, and in no time at all, the airship landed on the wide open plains near the northern coast, scattering a herd of wild sheep and sweeping the grass aside like ripples in a pond. Ethan and Elia disembarked, and after a quick, follow up briefing by General Galahad, the ship left with him on it, leaving Ethan and Elia alone. He turns to her.
"You'll need to stand back."
Once she was in the clear, Ethan transforms into his dragon form. A burst of light like a miniature Sun explodes from his body, and a massive shadow, larger than a mountain, blocks out the Sun, enveloping the plains in an early night. Ethan had to resist the urge to roar as he changed; his roar in this form was not to be trifled with.
His size was almost beyond comprehension. His scales were darker than night, and his eyes were like lakes of molten gold. His twisted horns were the size of entire towns on their own, and his spiked tail seemed to stretch the length of the coastline. His back was dotted with imposing spikes, and his wings were far beyond massive. To say he was huge, was to call a planet small; it was the understatement of a lifetime.
Ethan folds his wings against his body and lowers his head down until his jaw and long, serpentine neck are resting against the ground. When he speaks, his voice is like thunder, rolling through the countryside. It is deep and powerful, but also surprisingly gentle. "Do not be afraid, Elia. You have no cause to fear me. We will have to fly high so we are not seen, but I will not fly so high as to deprive you of oxygen. There is a spot in between my shoulder blades that my children affectionately refer to as the saddle. My spike there will shield you from the wind and give you something to hold onto, and when I fly, my shoulders tense, which will prevent you from falling off. Are you ready?"

He gives a small chuckle, though when coming from a gajillion foot long dragon, it sounded more like a thunderclap. "Not at all. Some are even more imposing than I. You should meet my father and wife. They make me look like an old stuffed animal. Let me know when you're comfortable and ready. My scales produce a constant low intensity heat, so you'll be warm even at high altitude."
------
Aris wiped her face on her sleeve, sniffled, and looked up. She recognised the lady in front of her as the one her father had talked to; the Queen. "I... I just want to go home. I just... I just want my parents back. First mother, and now dad is gone too... Why do we have to be here? What did we ever do to you?"

The child's words tore at Glinda's heart.
I...
"...Forgive me, love", said Glinda soothingly. "I did not mean for you to be torn from your home like this. However, we already have a plan that will allow you, your brother, and your father to return to your home. I promise you that you shall see your mother again. What's more, your father right now is hard at work to help with this plan. With his and the other Outlanders' help, you have nothing to worry about. He is a strong person, isn't he? Please have faith in him and the others.
Now please, dry your tears. You don't want to ruin your beautifully done hair, do you?"
Joshua was about to enter the room where Rotom allegedly saw the girl enter when he heard a woman speaking. He halted and stood by the doorway out of sight.
"...did not mean for you to be torn from your home like this. However, we already have a plan that will you, your brother, and your father to return to your home and you will be able to see your mother again. What's more, your father right now is hard at work to help with this. With his and the other Outlanders' help, you have nothing to worry about. He is a strong person, isn't he? Please have faith in him and the others."
Recognizing the queens voice and hearing the child sobbing, Joshua stood there, continuing to listen.
