Curtis turned to Rosa. He saw her shaking. "Are you sure you're going to be all right?"
Rosa forced a smile. "Don't... count me out yet. I'm not backing down."
Curtis paused a moment before nodding. "Okay... Be careful."
As he followed Hilbert and Keldeo to the exit, Kyurem grunted and began concentrating ice in the air to his sides. Two large blocks of ice began forming before suddenly bursting apart, two new Cryogonal familiars in their place.
"See them out", said Kyurem. "No distractions."
"Hee hee~!"
"Yes, sir!"
The two Cryogonal darted after Keldeo and the humans to push them away. Kyurem then formed a thick wall of ice in the entrance to the chamber; barely anything would be able to be seen through the ice should anyone try to spectate the battle. He chuckled(?) and turned to his challengers. He nodded to the splicers. "So... You know how to work that?"
---
The two Cryogonal tailed the trio outside to make sure they won't interrupt.
One of them approached Hilbert and used the eye trick to get up to his face. "You there..." It took a sniff. "I know that smell. You smell like... A dirty communist! What the hell are you doing in democratic soil, you damn redhead!?"
The other Cryogonal approached Keldeo. "Hee hee~! You're cute!"
Keldeo simply ignored her and looked into the cave, somewhat disappointed that he wouldn't be able to observe how Cobalion would handle the battle. Curtis also looked the same direction.
Rosa... Be careful.

Unable to understand the Cryogonal, Hilbert turns to Keldeo. "What's that thing saying about me? ...It isn't gonna try to eat me, is it?" He sounds more annoyed than anything. "Oh, and can you still telepath with Cobalion through there? Let me know if we need to break throug that ice for any reason."

"Something about you smelling like a 'dirty communist' and wanting to know what you're doing on 'democratic soil', though Nova is far from democratic", said Keldeo. "Anyway, we're not Psychic-types, so our telepathy is rather limited in comparison. So no speaking with Cobalion for now."
"What's the matter, Commie? Can't speak democratic?!"
Despite his face being basically frozen, it wouldn't take a genius to know that Kyurem is internally grinning as the electrical-plug-esque thing on his back reacted to the Splicers and began shooting energy that carried the Dark Stone to him. The stone then began shrinking until nothing was left as the "plugs" began absorbing the stone.
"You might wanna stand back."
Kyurem let out a mighty roar as he completely engulfed himself in a giant surge of electricity. The electricity surrounded him like a ball before dispersing slightly once the fusion was complete.
Kyurem's eyes lit open and began darting around as he adjusted himself to the fact that he now has an actual pupil. He let out a mighty roar and the electricity burst out. He concentrated the electricity to run in currents throughout the wall and ceiling of the cave, illuminating the chamber. Rosa and Cobalion was able to see all of the numerous frozen soldiers Kyurem had previously frozen, as well as an extravagant looking throne room (minus throne for obvious reasons) made of ice.
Kyurem looked at his two arms; his frozen left, and his new, black right. He clenched them, enjoying the newfound power he could feel coursing throughout his entire being.
He wiggled his jaw, remembering he could do that now.
"...I'll let you start."
He roared once more, loudly and shaking the very ground underneath. An electric aura covered him.

"Well in case you can't tell from my open carry policy..." Black replies to the Cryogonal, showing off the revolvers at his hip for the first day in his life. "...I'm a proud Unovian! Now shove your baseless accusations up your ass or I'll liberate it, War on Terror style!"

"That's fightin' words! Come on, commie! I'll shove my foot so far up your ass, you'll be coughing up boot polish!"
"Oh sure, antagonize the Pokemon whose friends have been successfully killing heavily armed Nova soldiers on a regular basis for years and whose fearsome master and creator has just received an exponential boost in power", snarked Keldeo. "I'm sure that won't lead to bloody reprisals against you or your loved ones.
...Also, he said that he'll shove his 'foot' so far up your ass you'll be coughing boot polish."
The addition of electrical currents illuminating the room put Rosa more at-ease and she ceased trembling as strongly. The "decorations" that are the white and frozen Nova soldiers that ventured inside after evading the Cryogonal outside also helped in a morbid sort of way... For lack of a better term and for unintentional irony, it breathed some "life" in the cavern, as opposed to...
With Cobalion standing slightly behind Rosa to signify that he isn't participating in the battle yet, Rosa sent out her first Pokemon.
Kyurem stared at the Sableye he towered over.
Different Pokemon, now? Fine.
Kyurem clenched his left fist and one of the stalactites on the ceiling broke off and dropped down toward Sableye.
"Above!"
With Rosa's warning, Sableye noticed the incoming danger and jumped away from where it was standing. Frost began forming where it was about to land.
"Gotcha."
"Now!"
Right before Sableye was impaled by a giant spike of ice Kyurem formed from underneath, it vanished into its own shadow, which extended outward toward Kyurem. Kyurem realized that the Sableye was using Shadow Sneak and jump backward, but it was too late; Sableye sprang up and embedded a claw into Kyurem's leg to support itself as it climbed onto Kyurem's back. Without waiting for a confirmatory order from Rosa and before Kyurem could react, it climbed up to his head before jumping off and launching a Will-O-Wisp into Kyurem's eye. The beast clutched at its eyes in pain as Sableye fell to the ground.
"Foul Play!"
The Sableye snickered and charged at Kyurem.
He was having none of that.
Kyurem roared in anger and discharged electricity in a radial area around him, which managed to catch Sableye in its advance and threw it backward. Before it could recover from brief paralysis, a square pillar of ice erected underneath it to raise it to the air, to which Kyurem reached out and forcefully grabbed it (smashing the top part of the pillar in the process) and squeezed.
"You infuriating piece of crap!"
Kyurem flew above and dove back down, driving Sableye to the ground. He let go and jumped back, roaring once more as a Fusion Bolt struck down from above as a final blow.
Kyurem landed back to the ground as the fainted Sableye twitched slightly on the ground.
"Half-blinded and burned", mused Kyurem. "Clever little sneak." He watched as Rosa recalled the small Pokemon. She stood there motionlessly for a moment. "What's the matter? Don't puss out on me now!"
Rosa clenched her fists and took a deep breath.
"I...I won't yield!"
"That shaky voice of yours gives me doubt. Give it some 'oomph'!
...No, wait, you humans just react that way to the cold. Nevermind."
Ignoring his words, Rosa considered her options and sent out her next Pokemon.

A young woman snuck into a back alley, trying to make it to her brother's house before another attack-
*THUMP* "Sleep."
A hand hit her chest and grabbed the back of her head, laying it to rest on a shoulder.
"You will deliver this package of supplies to room B007 of the Lilycove Hospital. You will not remember any of this. Wake."
Fingers snapped in her ear. She looked around, seeing no one and wondering if she was forgetting something, when she noticed the package at her feet. Oh right, these are meant for the hospital.

"Have at ye, ya damn communist!"
The Cryogonal extended a chain of ice from it's body and used it like a whip to strike Hilbert in the face.
"He said 'have at ye, ya damn communist!'", said Keldeo, being as unhelpful as possible.
He tried his best to ignore the other Cryogonal that just stood behind him... staring... giggling.
"Hee hee~!"
"Protect!!"
Gardevoir stopped charging for a Moonblast as Kyurem located where she teleported to and charged with Bolt Strike. The Protect barrier held up, though the intense force behind the attack caused Gardevoir to lose her balance. Kyurem weaved back before immediately striking again, bringing Gardevoir to the ground. Despite clearly struggling, Gardevoir managed to hold the barrier for a third attack.
"Teleport out of--"
"Not this time!"
Four square pillars of ice rose from the ground and clamped hard on the grounded Gardevoir. Sparks of electricity that formed upon impact let Rosa know that the attack Kyurem used was Freeze Shock, presumably charged by Kyurem while he was avoiding most of the Moonblasts and tanking Shadow Balls.
The ice broke as Gardevoir fell to the ground. Rosa recalled her as Kyurem cracked his neck.
"Next!"
Rosa sent out Rampardos next. Kyurem noticed it carrying an orb using a chain around its neck.
"You go to Jared?"
"Head Smash!"
The Rampardos roared and charged at Kyurem. He merely hovered backward and created a spiky wall of ice between him and the rock-type, intending to let recoil and the spikes do some damage.
"Now!"
Kyurem's smile faded when the Rampardos stopped mid-charge in front of the wall and began to pummel the ice wall with orange energy welling in its fists. Kyurem roared as he created more spikes of ice to rise from the ground to impale the Rampardos.
"Head Smash again!"
With power multiplied by both the Life Orb around its neck and the Power-Up Punches delivered to the wall, Rampardos charged through and broke the wall. Kyurem created walls and spikes in an attempt to halt the Head Butt Pokemon, but it did not relent, despite the spikes putting it through a lot of hurt.
After smashing through one last wall of ice, it lunged right at Kyurem in a direct hit. The giant beast was blown back against the wall, with dust clouds forming around Kyurem as it crashed.
Seeing the damage it caused, Rampardos gave a satisfied sigh before falling on its side. Rosa recalled it.
Did I...
Another great surge of electricity formed around where Kyurem fell. With another roar, he bounded back to the center of the cave. The ice around his body was heavily cracked and he was breathing heavily now.
"*pant*... Next!"
I knew he was going to be even more formidable than last time... But this...
Rosa took a breath and sent out Donphan.

Yancy inspected the bandage around her knee.
Must've been worse than I thought...
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask that you use crutches", said the doctor overlooking Yancy. "It can be healed, but it will take time. Put as little pressure onto your leg as possible for the next few days. If you're returning to Realgam Tower, I will print out my diagnostics so that the medical bay will know the proper treatment."
"Th-thank you", said Yancy.
She leaned back on her hospital bed and looked to the side to she a sleeping Joshua lying on the bed next to hers. She didn't know anything in particular about what they did to him other than something about a rib of his, but then again she had no desire to know. Fortunately, after what Joshua did earlier, they allowed him to get the bed next to her to keep them close. Namely, the bed that was meant for...
"Is... Hugh still isn't here?" asked Yancy.
The doctor shook her head. "The people you see here are the ones accounted for. The only thing we know for sure about the situation at the prison is what the news tell us: it's a battleground now. I'll be honest, you should probably start accepting the fact that maybe one of you would end up dying on schedule after all."
Yancy sighed sadly. "That's... a pessimistic thought."
"It's a realistic thought", said the doctor.
Yancy laid silently as the doctor went away.

"The only good commie is a dead one!"
Keldeo stood watching in amusement as the anti-communist Cryogonal continued whipping poor Hilbert into submission.
"He said 'the only good commie is a dead one'. If it makes you feel any better, at least he isn't using Ice Beam."
He then jumped back at the cold touch of the Cryogonal fawning over him coming over to seemingly snuggle with him.
"Awww, he's cute even when he runs away from me~!"
"I'm not cute!" retorted Keldeo. He sighed. "That one hates communism (whatever that is), this one wants to snuggle with me, that one won't stop spinning around, that one loves eating humans, that one is fascinated with organics, and that one is a stoner! For someone who wants to be badass and feared, Kyurem's creations sure are touched in the head. Right, Curtis?
...Curtis?"
Keldeo looked around and even ran a short distance to search the Giant Chasm of the green-haired human.
"...Ah crap."
Ignoring the Cryogonal around him, Keldeo used Aqua Jet and dashed straight into the cave where the battle was taking place.
After evading Primeape's Close Combat by hovering out of reach, Kyurem opted to retaliate with the quick finish by taking the running electricity around the cavern used to illuminate the area and instantly concentrating them toward the Fighting-type all at once. The resulting force from the blast caused Cobalion to brace himself against it and Rosa to fall over backward. After her eyes readjusted from the blinding light of the attack, Rosa froze in the middle of picking herself up once she found herself in almost total blackness.
What... Where...?
A loud crash somewhere caused her to jump violently and begin to quake. She was unable to identify the sound as Primeape being thrown against the wall of ice blocking the entrance to the cave, greatly cracking it.
Oh no. No no no no no...!
Cobalion took Rosa's side as she brought her knees close and began to hold herself. "Rosa! Compose yourself!"
She shut her eyes tight and tears began to form as heavy footsteps began to sound out.. and get louder as the person walking came closer.
"N-No! Please!" cried out Rosa. "Get away from me! Why are you doing this?! What do you want?! Why...?!"
The footsteps stopped. As the area became illuminated again by Kyurem raising a ball of electricity, the wall of ice blocking the exit crumpled apart as Curtis broke through using the butt of his rifle. He then immediately tossed his gun aside and bolted toward Rosa. He brought his eyes to her level and spoke to her.
"Rosa! It's me, Curt! It's alright, you're not there anymore! You won't suffer that anymore!"
Rosa's breathing steadied as Curtis spoke to her. After opening her eyes and seeing him in the faintly illuminated light, she clung onto him. He wrapped his own arms around her and began speaking softly to her. Keldeo finally arrived on the scene, braking from Aqua Jet use.
"...What is the meaning of this?" asked Kyurem. Though his voice was still loud and booming, it somehow no longer sounded like he was trying to be intimidating. "I remember when we first did battle... You were not at all like this."
"...Rosa was captured by Nova; the enemy outside", said Cobalion. "They tortured her greatly during that time; so much so that she was hardly able to speak or perform basic functions on her own once she was rescued. She appeared to have recovered quickly, but... It appears such scar may never truly heal."
"They..." Kyurem thought a bit. "...What of that other boy? Nate, I believe his name was. If she is like this, then surely he could've--"
"Gone", said Curtis. "He was among the first to die."
"It's why Zekrom was dormant the way it was", said Keldeo. "Nova defeated it and caused it to revert. Cobalion and I grabbed it out of their clutches when we broke out."
"What?" replied Kyurem. "Those bastards... Confining me to this land... Turning Pokemon, as I have personally witnessed with some of my own familiars... Breaking my two favorite humans...!
Like hell I'm going to stand for it!" yelled Kyurem. "I don't even care about finishing this battle anymore; hell, you know what? I'll help you anyway! Not only will I awaken Zekrom for you all, I'll even join your little... resistance movement! I'll tear Nova apart myself if I must!"
"Really?" said Keldeo.
"Of course, dammit!" He looked at Rosa, who had seemingly calmed down and was looking at him. "I owe you a favor anyway.
...But first..."
The overseer of the Giant Chasm confinement operation looked over the battalion of heavily armed and heavily armored Nova soldiers lined up in front of him. These soldiers are equipped with pyrotechnic weaponry and Pokemon, with the occasional Fairy or Fighting type for good measure.
"Alright men", ordered the overseer, "we haven't a clue what the rebel scum are doing here, but we're not going to take any chances; you are to charge in, find, and eliminate anything that wasn't there last week, do you understand?!"
Before the soldiers could salute however, a large tremor and what sounded like an explosion outside got their attention.
"What in hell's name was that?!"
"Sir, look outside, it's...!"
The overseer peered out as suggested, and instantly his jaw dropped. He saw Kyurem -- no, Black Kyurem -- had emerged direction from the cave it took residence in. It bathed itself in an aura of electricity as a loud, terrifying laughter telepathically resonated within the heads of every piece of personnel on the wall.
"You could've faced me directly, but instead you hid behind your stupid wall! C'mon boys, it's time to make a scene!"
The beast roared as the yelling of Cryogonal within the Chasm called out and a surge of static electricity short-circuited the electronic appliances within the wall. Kyurem rose up and charged directly at the wall with Bolt Strike.
"Code red! Code--"
An extravagant display of complete destruction ensued as Kyurem broke through the wall as if it were made of cardboard. With another roar, a thundercloud formed overhead and Fusion Bolts rained down to bring what remained to ruin. As Kyurem destroyed the wall that confined him for the past few years, his Cryogonal familiars focused their efforts on killing the humans who survived the initial destruction and would turn to flee; unleashing Sheer Cold, Ice Beams, chains of ice, and Rapid Spin in the case of one of the Cryogonal in particular to leave little to no survivors in their wake.
Kyurem's boisterous laughter echoed in the heads of everyone present.

Hilbert takes the first icicle slap from the Cryogonal, flickering a smile as it says something he doesn't understand
"Oh? Methinks that was a challenge to a gentleman's duel! I was hoping things would heat up. ...Er, metaphorically speaking of course."
He backsteps away from the next couple of lashes, ducking another and finally getting struck atop the head for his efforts.
"He said 'the only good commie is a dead one'." Keldeo tells him nonchalantly. "If it makes you feel any better, at least he isn't using Ice Beam."
"Oh, I'm not too worried." Hilbert replies. Half of my team is Fire type, after all. I'm not much of a strategist."
He chooses a Pokéball from his belt, letting the next hit meet Emboar's sash like belly hair. The icicle whip becomes steam on contact, not phasing the beast.
"I'm not cute!" Hilbert barely hears, tuning out the rest of the legendary creature's rambling.
"Meet Emboar! The red menace!" Hilbert jokes. "It's ungentlemanly of a human and Pokémon to do battle with one another. He will be your opponent today!"
The Emboar beats its fists against each other, smirking at the Cryogonal.
Howdy, partner." Emboar says menacingly, puffing smoke from his snout. "Looks like you been causin' a mighty spot o' trouble. I don't take none too kindly to trouble. Now why don't you back off to your big boss man 'fore you gotta go and make my da-"
"It's no use talking to this one, Emboar." Hilbert says. "He's not right in the head. I think Arceus made him wrong, or maybe his pappy dropped him on the head when he was still just a wee piece of frost. A Flame Charge should shut the bugger up."
The Emboar nods, lunging forward at speeds which such a massive beast shouldn't rightfully be able to obtain, all while encased in flame. "Yeeee--HUUUH!?"
Mid battlecry, the entire chasm shakes wildly as the wall between Hilbert and Rosa's battle, which had cracked at some point, came crashing down. Through it, Black Kyurem charges forward letting out a bloodcurdling laugh. Emboar is knocked aside helplessly, and the Cryogonal with him. Hilbert lets himself drop, being flung by the tailwind and smashing into a nearby Novacicle, shattering it on contact.
"...Bad... ass..." He wheezes in marvel.

Curtis recalled Primeape. Rosa's breathing rate steadied after some time (Kyurem blasting a large hole for sunlight to pass through helped), so they steadily helped her stand up and slowly supported her out the cave to the chasm, tremors and explosions in the distance taking up much of the background noise. She didn't make a sound.
Once the came outside, they saw Hilbert and Emboar lying on the ground and a lot of smoke where the wall of confinement used to be. Kyurem descended in front of the cave and touched down, clearing away a number of crystallized Nova soldiers. All of his Cryogonal familiars soon followed, orbiting around their master and chattering about many things neither Keldeo nor Cobalion cared to translate.
"It is done", said Kyurem. "Those cowards that have confined me here, in my infinite boredom, are no more. Now that I have somewhere I know I can go without being harassed by missiles, they have paid for it in cold blood. Now... In what direction is this base of yours? This... Orre, as you humans call it?"
"I shall navigate for you", said Cobalion.
"Very well."
Kyurem formed a blizzard as his familiars stopped in attention and began unleashing a flurry of Ice Beam at the area behind Kyurem. Soon the blizzard dispersed, and a large, old fashioned carriage formed from ice took its place; sturdily connected toward Kyurem to prevent the thing from breaking off as soon as he took flight.
"Hop in... Take it easy there, Rosa."
A Cryogonal used a whip to open the carriage doors. Curtis helped Rosa get up on the carriage. The Swords of Justice hopped on as Rosa took a seat in the corner and curled up her knees to her chest. Curtis took a seat next to her. The door was left open for Hilbert to enter.
"30 degrees right", instructed Cobalion to Kyurem.

Location: Sky Pillar
Mars teleported down from Galactic's new weapon in space. It would need a good while to recharge, but in the meantime there was the matter of retaliation to account for.
"Saturn," she said, entering the command centre, "the HSH drive is severely under powered. I'm going to need more time before-"
She stopped when she looked around teh room and noticed that Saturn was still asleep in his chair. She saw Jupiter looking calmly over the holographic battlefield where a single oncoming unit was tearing through their ranks
"Jupiter! I thought Saturn would be awake by now."
"He was. Then he went back to sleep." Jupiter replied curtly.
"...why? MMF!"
Mars crumpled in a heap on the floor. Jupiter lowered the device in her hands.
"Same reason as you."
Location: Lilycove Shore
Eusine's further questioning of Molly was interrupted by an explosion sounding in the distance, followed by the lights in the city going dark.
"Molly, stay safe." he said (knowing full well she probably could) as he got on Suicune's back, looking for any sign of trouble. He didn't have to look long, since a cold authoritative voice started ringing in his head. Raikou and Suicune growled, not liking this. Entei's attention though seemed to be on Molly.
"Attention Galactic Rebels. This region belongs to Nova and we will tolerate your actions in Hoenn no longer. We are reclaiming our prisoners, which now includes every Galactic member in Lilycove City. You are to turn yourselves in, or we will find you and kill you."
Eusine assumed it was a psychic broadcast to everyone in the city. He recognized the voice. It was that psychic lady from the Flower Paradise...Guy Delcaour's daughter. He shivered.
"You all right?" Molly said seeing the look her companion's face.
"Yeah...it's nothing. I'm about to meet someone I'd rather not. I've heard that voice before..."
"What voice?"
The psychic message continued: "There are sleeper agents everywhere. You can trust no one. But on top of that, I hear you as well as you hear me. I am inside your thoughts. If I hear any grumblings of resistance, even by a civilian, we blow up the hospital."
Eusine looked at Molly, "You didn't hear it?"
"Hear what?"
Entei barked suddenly, with Suicune quickly nodding and freezing some water vapour into short hand for Eusine to read in the air.
"Hidden Power," Eusine looked confused.
The girl realized and nodded. "Yes. Blue said that I have typed properties...immunities to certain energies?"
Eusine jumped off Suicune and grabbed her shoulders, speaking carefully. "Molly. Nova is attacking. There is a psychic trying to read our minds right now, but she can't read yours. I need you to give me the same protection. Can you do that?"
"She can't, but there's no need."
A new voice came from above. Eusine looked up to see Blue hovering in place, tossing down a hexagonal device about the size of a Protect generator.
"Nova tech. It's like a biofield that gives you a pokemon type," Blue said holding up his own, "Set it to Dark and try not to take any punches."
Eusine caught and activated it, but not before shouting "Nice of you to show up!". Blue ignored him and continued.
"If you have history with this woman then you're the distraction. I can teleport. I'll evacuate the hospital."
Eusine blinked. "Since when were you a hero?"
"Three years minus the last 6 months. Molly, I'm getting you to safety."
"No!" the girl said defiantly, "I'm immune. I can help."
Eusine backed her up, "Nova knows the two of us are in the city, but not Molly. She's our one tactical advantage."
Blue was about to argue, but he teleported away instead, sensing the Nova soldiers teleporting in on their position at that very moment. Eusine, Molly, and the beasts were immediately beset by armed troops and an assortment of StarBurst pokemon. The beasts got into battle positions, but Eusine raised his hands, making motions indicate Molly do the same.
"I have an appointment with Miss Delacour!" he shouted before they fired. They hesitated before firing, giving Eusine the chance to shout more. "Tell her that she's a sexy beast and that Eusine is here to see her!"
Molly took a half step away from him.
Location: Where Pacifidlog once was
The skies and seas burned. There was no land here, but that would be burning too if there was. Nothing but the debris of Galactic ships floated on the water, the heavier bits sinking into the depths.
A few of the remaining ships fired upon their target, which was moving too fast for them to find, but it was an action of desperation more than anything else. They stopped firing the moment a house-sized maelstrom of pink diamonds descended upon them and tore them into bite sized bits.
The diamond shards conglomerated into the shape of twelve medieval knights, and regrouped to surround a figure floating in a suit of gold and pink cybernetic armor. On its right gauntlet sat the pattern of a mega-stone in negative, with power lines running through it to the rest of the suit.
"Never say that I don't have a sense of style."
No one around was alive to hear Harry quip at himself. Something in the distance shot at him with a long distance energy canon, but four of his knights raised their shields and blocked it effortlessly. The diamond knights shifted and formed an aerodynamic cone, and Harry quickly rocketed through the blast and the airship that had fired it.
"Must have missed one." He said as he watched it split in two and fall into the ocean below. He set his sights on the Sky Pillar just ahead of him, but his thoughts of revenge were interrupted by an incoming message.
"You still use this frequency Mercury?"
Harry snarled blithely.
"That's a yes."
The message switched to video format, which Harry brought up to view in front of him. There was Jupiter, sitting in Saturn's chair, speaking to him as casually as ever.
"I know you want to smash this place to the ground. But I would just like to offer...parley."
She turned the camera off to the side to reveal Saturn and Mars unconscious, bound, and gagged on the floor. "What do you say?"
Harry thought for a few seconds before changing the channel.
"Give me another ten minutes."
He changed back to Jupiter.
"Accepted."
Jupiter smiled.

Location: Lilycove City
The Nova soldiers were told to take no prisoners. So they didn't. Before their bullets reached their targets though, Suicune erected an Ice barrier around them as Entei dug an escape route into the ground below. Eusine chucked a few magnet grenades up top, followed by a Zap Cannon from Raikou, and in the next second they were gone and most of the Nova forces present had to dig shrapnel out of some part of their bodies.
Entei dug into the city until they reached a sewer pipe. Suicune purified the water and eliminated the smell, and Raikou illuminated the tunnel, while Eusine checked his phone.
"I guess surrender is never an option, huh?" Molly said, a bit frazzled but maintaining herself well. She was mounted atop Entei who was closing the tunnel they had come through with molten rock.
Eusine ignored her and dialed. "Nett, send every Abra you have to this IP. It's not mine, it's a friend's. Lives are at stake, just do it!" He hung up and turned to Molly. "No, never."
"Cool. Now what?"
"Now we wait for Blue's all clear."
Elsewhere in Lilycove, Blue was in an abandoned attic, setting up an online connection to a hospital computer and checking blueprints. Luckily, it was a simple system for a Porygon to navigate. There was at least one pokemon storage system in the hospital, which meant he had an entrance point. His package from Eusine had arrived, which meant it's time. He spent a moment psychically coordinating between his allies with Alakazam, donned a gas mask, and then spent another moment preparing himself.
Breathe in...My pokemon are my strength. Breathe out...we fight together as one. One aura, one spirit, one body, one mind.
His eye glowed with a faint blue tint of Aura.
3...2...1...GO!
He teleported into the hospital the same instant Porygon released a swarm of Abra from the PC. Blue appeared with Seadra and Weezing heads at his side, and Alakazam's spoon in hand. The spoon pulsed with Magic Room, disabling weapon use, and Smokescreen billowed into the room to cover him, but not before he caught the auras of the guards around him. Positions in mind, he teleported into their midst. Spawning a Parasect mushroom on the other arm, he looked almost like a very strange sword-and-shield fighter as he shot clouds of Spore into the air and filled every corner of the room with them with a psychic pulse. The guards fell into slumber, and Blue struck. Machamp arms, Tangela vines, and a Lickitung tongue whirled about with Knock-off, stripping weapons, knocking them into walls, and likely breaking bones. Within half a minutes Blue had teleported elsewhere, but the Abras flocked to their task, grabbing any humans they could find and taking them to Realgam Tower. Sorting the prisoners from the Nova guards would be somebody else's problem.
A few seconds later, Blue teleported back to confirm what he thought he saw. Some of the guards weren't humans, but pokemon wearing strange bands of some sort. He smirked. Even more convenient. He shot a few psychic pulses at them with Golduck arms before moving on.
...oh yeah, he should signal Eusine.
"Hold tight!"
Molly was thankful for the reminder as she was swept away before she could even catch her breath. The beasts raced down the tunnels at breakneck speed. Eusine scanned the ceiling, and pointed at a spot, having Raikou blow a hole through it. The Zap Canon shot up like a beacon as they broke through to the streets, and all three beasts leapt up into the heart of the city. There were people running and screaming now for sure.
"WHAT ARE WE DOING!" Molly screamed over the rushing wind.
"BEING A DISTRACTION!" Eusine yelled back, almost euphorically. The beasts shot up onto the city skyline, where they jumped from rooftop to rooftop. Suicune brought the wind and water, Rakou brought the clouds, Entei brought the heat, and soon an incredibly thick fog was rolling out over the whole city, trailing from behind their path.
Molly looked ahead and saw they were headed straight for the Hospital. She had questions, but trusted Eusine knew what he was doing.

Location: Sky Pillar
On the floor, Saturn coughed and made muffled noises somewhere in between pain and rage. Meanwhile, Mars (who somehow knew her way around a gag), shouted out.
"Jupiter! What the f-!"
She was silenced by another shot from Jupiter, her head hitting the ground hard. Jupiter turned back to the screen, which displayed a hologram of Harry and his suit. It was analyzing as she spoke.
"Why don't you take off that coat of arms and have a nice civil discussion with me?"
"...No."
Hary shot towards the tower, flying directly into it's defensive force fields. The energy that would normally fell even Rayquaza upon contact sparked and swelled around his diamond shields, for the brief moments before he broke through completely in a shower of pink gemstones. The shards re-entered knight form and immediately besieged the tower, embedding themselves into its sides. In one fluid motion, they cleaved the top part of the tower, cracking it off like a pencil and tossing it aside. He left Jupiter and the others effectively standing on the tower's ceiling.
"Your surrender will be on my terms."
Jupiter jumped back as a diamond knight skewered her holographic table and Harry descended upon them. Jupiter activated her usual Protect, Wide, and Quick Guard generators, but Harry backhanded the shields away like newspaper in the wind.
"Surrender?" Jupiter said, as if she still had an ace up her sleeve, "Nova needs me now more than ever! Who else can spin PR like I do? I took this region once and I can do it again. And I'll even throw in these two as a peace offering."
She gestured to Saturn and the unconscious Mars on the ground. Harry's eyes lingered on Saturn's helpless form, but quickly got back on task. He grabbed Jupiter by the leg roughly and hung her upside down in front of him.
"You're pathetic. Bargaining for your life? None of you are making it out of here ali-"
*Snap!* Jupiter slapped something on his suit now that he was in arm's reach.
His sensors told him something was horribly off. For one, he had suddenly let go of Jupiter, who rolled away and tossed something grenade-like at the two other Galactic Admins. Harry identified it as a teleport bomb.
"NO!"
He fired a pulse of plasma right as the bomb exploded, but it was too late. Saturn and Mars were gone. Right after he fired that last pulse, the weapon bent itself out of shape and tore out of his armor.
(Meanwhile up in space, Celena was emergency teleported back to Goldenrod as her suit suddenly decided to be consumed by the Big Bang Spirit Bomb she was charging to destroy Sky Pillar...and likely create another seafloor cavern. From the earth, it looked like a star twinkled out in the sky.)
"What...what! What is this!?"
Jupiter sneered, "A viral dubious disc. I just needed you to get close enough to apply directly. And it's not only your suit. It's corrupting Nova's entire armor infrastructure. I sure hope Celena's in space right now."
Harry's armor began to rip itself apart, bit by bit. Plates of gold and hunks of diamond molted away, grinding each other into dust. Jupiter had her game face on.
"Nova is dead to the world's eye and now your biggest source of fire-power is ruined. I said you needed me, and now you're in a hole you are never getting out of. Classic blunder. So eager to take the queen you expose yourself to weakness. Checkmate."
Harry writhed on the floor as the last of his armor was jettisoned, leaving only his mask.
"...corruption? You want CORRUPTION!?!!?"
The mask broke off too.
"LOOK AT ME!"
Harry's voice gnashed out of his melted mouth, his necrotic flesh exposed to open air, and one good eye drilling a hole in Jupiter's forehead as he lunged forward. Jupiter had time to push one of two buttons. One was teleport away. The other was immediate and catastrophic base nuclear meltdown.
She chose the latter. The base of the pillar exploded as Harry grabbed her by the throat.
"You've just stayed young and powerful forever! Sitting up on the world's throne like you're immune to the corruption of us inferior species!"
Something seemed to have snapped inside Harry. It might have something to do with the pink energy visibly coursing in his veins, cybernetic or otherwise. He threw Jupiter into a wall and then kicked her through it as the tower crumbled around them. There was a crack that came from somewhere in her head area and she went limp.
"WE WERE CYRUS'S CHOSEN ONES! SO WHY ARE YOU IMMORTAL AND I END UP LIKE THIS!?!"
The mechanical joints in his body audibly whirred as he body slammed his victim, not caring whether or not she was unconscious. He forcefully grabbed her head and held it close to his.
"...Look at this..." he said in a low growl, gazing at his glowing hands, "...corruption. I'm not even human anymore. My body, my mind. My morals. Look at what Nova's helped me become. Twisted and sick....so I guess I wont feel this."
A swift jerk twisted her neck 180 degrees, and he threw her off the side. A few seconds later there was a dull splash, masked by the splashed of all the other tower debris falling into the ocean.
Harry looked down after her, panting hard. But as the glow subsided from his body, he suddenly became aware of what was going on beneath him. A massive burst of fire was rising, or the floor he was on was falling. His eyes darted about his strewn pieces of armor, until he found his original Mega-Gauntlet, still intact and installed with the uncorrupted Nova Drive. He used the last of his energy to dive for it as the fire consumed what was left of the pillar and it burnt down to ashes.

The last thing Joshua was able to see before being plopped by another Abra into the middle of a scorching hot desert was a smokescreen coming in from the adjacent room crowded with Nova soldiers and the faint silhouettes of something beating them up. Afterward, it was the sight of a mix of fellow martyrs, the occasional medical staff, and unconscious and barely-conscious Nova soldiers being plopped around them, with more seemingly on the way.
Before he could fully identify where he was at, he heard someone else yelling. Joshua couldn't help but smile upon looking to the source of the noise and seeing the front door security to Realgam Tower raising guns and threatening the Nova soldiers (and out of the corner of his eye past the door, what seemed like someone striking extravagant poses), but his heart sank when one soldier regained his bearings, sprang up, ran to where Meridia was, and forcibly held her in front of him.
"Stand back or I'll.... I'll...!"
The sliding doors slid open and Riley stepped outside. He quickly flicked his hand out in front of him and an Aura Sphere shot out and smacked the soldier right in the face, causing him to let go of Meridia. After a flash of light behind Riley, some young, darker-pink headed girl with white eyes and a glowing aura dashed forward and stretched her hand upward. Immediately, every uniformed Nova soldier was lifted up in the air and stayed there, twirling in place, where they won't be hurting anyone.
Riley turned to the front door soldiers. "Call for help, then call Mewtwo."
One of them began speaking into a radio as the other raised a cautious rifle over the remaining medical staff, who had their hands raised. As Joshua immediately got up and ran over to help Yancy and her injured leg in any way he could, Riley looked over the scene and approached Meridia.
"Commander, Gallowglass, Amora, Mr. Vega! Fancy meeting you here!" He held a hand out toward Meridia. "...Can you stand?"
Others who were at the front lobby and able to see the sudden new arrivals ran outside to also provide assistance to the people outside. One green-haired woman in particular ran out with a Blissey in tow and began looking around to see if any of them needed Soft-Boiled assistance.
"Are you ready?" asked Xerosic.
"Can't say I'm used to how the jetpack works, but I think I'll manage", replied Hugh.
"Let us hope you thought wisely", said Xerosic. He placed a handful of small devices in Hugh's armored hand. "It's simple; just place these beauties onto any eggs you come across, wait a moment, and they're be instantly transported into a little place I've set aside for storage."
Xerosic turned and typed some keys into a terminal. "I'll teleport you Southeast of Nimbasa; right out of range of their teleportation sensors. I've dispatched Essentia to scout. Find her at the coordinates I gave you earlier and proceed as necessary. She already has her own egg-catching devices, so don't worry about that."
"...And this is 'child's play', as you said?", muttered Hugh.
"Between the Sevii prison break, whatever is happening on Lilycove, and Kyurem somehow blowing up Nova's little containment op after all these years?" said Xerosic. "The chance of Nova dispatching any notable resistance with distractions like those is laughably remote.
Now step into the teleporter! We mustn't let this opportunity go to waste!"
A certain shiny Golurk looked around the last cell he investigated one last time.
Location... 100% scoured. Master... not found. Mission failure.
...Returning to base. All units, dismissed.
Yancy's Golurk took to the skies, as would all other summoned units in the area, abandoning the steadily quieting warzone that is the prison.
...Save for one unit, who became distracted at the sight of a large blast that detonated at the other side of the prison and seemed to take a lot of human allies with it.
Cause of detonation: unknown. Large power level possible. Beginning investigation.
The Golurk turned and began advancing as one human ally cried something out.
"Retreat! Shadow Pokemon and Nova ad--"
From the cloud of debris that had formed as a result of the explosion, the sound of a snarling Pokemon ran out as a horde of Mightyena ran out and attacked all the human allies they saw.
Specimen Identified as subject: Mightyena. Anomaly detected. Specimen's essence... Corrupted.
One Mightyena lunged at the Golurk, who evaded it using Phantom Force to slip into a portal and reappear behind it before retaliating with a Drain Punch.
Just then, the ground itself began to quake. Golurk was able to see a humanoid figure step out of the cloud of debris where the Mightyena had originated from.
Target Identified as Team Nova administrator: Duncan. Threat Level: S. Immediate--
The Golurk and the other human soldiers around him where then thrown together in a group, as gravity itself compressed them all. Then, stones and concrete from the destroyed prison shot up and sealed themselves around them, sealing them in a rocky tomb as they were all crushed to death.

"How many more times can we cheat death?" Meridia mused, ignoring Riley's question but taking his hand anyway.

Riley helped lift the commander up. "I'll say. I expected seeing Pvt. Conray and friends show up, now I get to be the one welcoming you home. Save explaining what happened to Benga and/or Mewtwo. For now, I'm happy with seeing you all alive."
Meanwhile, Cheryl located an unconscious boy lying on the sand. She and Blissey ran over to him; Cheryl checking for a pulse and Blissey instinctively preparing to use Soft-Boiled.

Pssst... hey, Mewtwo... y'know what hasn't blown up in a long time?
"Something on another planet, presumably?"
Nope! Kanto and Johto. It's been at least nine episodes since something in Kanto or Johto blew up!
"I beg your pardon...?"
The Bold and the Beautifly! They've aired at least nine new episodes of The Bold and the Beautifly since something in Johto or Kanto blew up!
You watch that show online, Benga. ...You're three seasons behind."
And I sat through nine episodes since the last time we did anything in Johto or Kanto!
"Yes, I see your point. We have been too reserved for too long. The time has come to strike back and strike hard, but we cannot accomplish that until you complete this mission."
...I was making a point?
"Benga... I beg that you focus, for just one minute."
Benga sighs. Fiiiine. He continues down the hallway, seeing two auras further down. They're spread apart enough that they must be in a larger room.
"Sneak past these two guards, and take the warp panel on your left."
Benga takes to an agile dash as he approaches the room, inhaling deeply and preparing to shout-...
"Do not call out the name of your super secret stealth aura special technique as you perform it." Mewtwo preempts.
Phooey.
Just before reaching the doorway, Benga bends his aura into a spectrum of light not unlike the bland gray and red tiles surrounding him. Appearing to be just a blurred view of the walls around him to the nearby guards, Benga silently sprints past the guards before his aura naturally returned to its original hue, just as he hit the warp panel.
It just didn't feel right, not calling the name of my technique.
Ten faint auras just ahead, with two in the center.
"The containment chamber is just ahead, according to our source."
So why am I looking for a suit in this contaminant chamber, anyway? Wouldn't it be all dirty?
"Containment. Contaminants are impurities and germs, but they can be contained as is the Magma Suit in an airtight chamber."
Right... I get it!
"Do you?"
Nope! But I'm gonna get the suit anyway.
"Very well."
Benga changes the light of his aura yet again, slipping unnoticed behind some conveniently placed lockers. As he's about to assess his next move, his communicator begins beeping.
Psst... hey, Mewtwo... I think they noticed me, Mewtwo.
"How!? We cannot afford to alarm the troops stationed in Lilycove proper!"
No time to focus on the why's and hows! I've got a call to answer! Whoop-ass time...?
"Guh...! ...Oh, very well!
Say it...!
"It's whoop-ass time, you damned fool! Now extract the Magma Suit and get out!"
"IT'S WHOOP-ASS TIME!" Benga hollers as he leaps from behind the locker, elbowing a soldier who had went to investigate his presence and making an unpleasant cracking noise in his face.
The communicator rings a second time.
Three more soldiers come in, raising their guns and opening fire on the infiltrator. Humming a jolly tune and performing an inhumanly fast riverdance, Benga manages to dodge the rapid ballistic volley, blasting a small Aura Sphere onto the nearby wall and letting it riochet onto all three guards one after another.
The communicator rings a third time.
Four Nova grunts surround Benga from the teleporters, two on each side. An alarm begins sounding throughout the former Team Magma base. The grunts each raise their firearms.
"We have you surrounded! Submit yourself or-...!?"
Their infiltrator suddenly vanishes into thin air! The grunts each look around in utter confusion, only for one to feel himself being quickly lifted off the ground by the scruff of his neck.
The communicator rings a fourth time.
Benga appears again, throwing the grunt to his partners accross the hall. They catch him mid stumble and help him up as they level their guns and begin shooting, but Benga takes the other grunt next to him and throws him in the way, launching a big Aura Sphere after him, pushing the grunt and bullets both into the remaining guards and knocking them all down like bowling pins.
The communicator gets through half of its fifth ring as Benga picks up, answering on his way into a big metal tube thingy which he assumed was the containment chamber.
"Ahoy-hoy?" He speaks, ignoring the two shocked looking scientists inside the chamber.
"W-where did you come from!?"
"Mhm..." Benga says absently over the device. "...That's great news! ...Oh. ...Yup! Just get, uhhh... Professor Sycamore to do something about it until we get there. ...Mhm... Love ya' too, bye!"
He hangs up. "Y'know it's rude to talk while someone is on the phone."
"Y-you're the one who t-triggered the alarm!" The scientist accuses Benga. "You're not supposed to be in here!"
"Yeah I am. I'm here for the Magma Suit. Duh." Benga replies.
The scientists exchange a weary glance, then gulp.
"The Magma Suit... isn't here anymore."
"Huh? Then where is it?" Benga asks.
"W-we moved it when another rebel group tried to get it... It's C-Celena's now..."
Ummm... Mewtwo... I have good news, bad news and REALLY bad news...
Picking himself up and popping his spine back into its rightful place with a quick stretch, Black recalls Emboar into his Pokéball and heads out the slightly steamy crater which was the entrance to Giant Chasm. Whistling at the piece of work outside he lets himself into the icey carriage, grinning.
"I'm not dressed for this occasion, I tell ya'. Now doesn't this make you just feel like royalt-..." Glancing at his downcast comrades, he realises he came in with the wrong attitude. "W-why the long faces...? Kyurem just kicked ass and we're all present and accounted for! ...R-right?"
Feeling a faint sensation against his wrists, Grant rustles slightly and groans.
"Juss... five mahr minuss.. mum... I dun... wa... schoo... day..." He mumbles incoherently.
Gracidea is a hell of a drug.

While Riley spoke with Meridia and Cheryl checked on Grant, Joshua helped Yancy get into a sitting position; one hand across her back and the other holding her hand.
"Are you okay?" asked Joshua.
"N-Not really", said Yancy. She winced as she moved her injured leg. "But... considering what's happened... I'm just thankful it isn't worse."
"What did they do to you?!" exclaimed Joshua upon seeing her knee. He then let go of her hand briefly to hold his up and open. "No. Scratch that. I don't want to know. How bad is it?"
"I'll need crutches and a few days' visit to the sickbay to get it checked", said Yancy. "In the meantime, well..."
"You can lean on me whenever you want", said Joshua with a smile. "I'm not going to be in top form immediately, but I can walk. Not sure if that's my resilience speaking, some weird kind of euphoria from being alive, or if I finally stopped feeling pain with how used to getting beat up I'm getting."
Yancy smiled weakly. "How chivalrous. I guess I should feel a little less guilty to ask you to carry me."
"No problem at all", said Joshua. "Tell you what: how about we go to my room, have a reunion with certain individuals, and let you clean up while I take care of your medical errand for you?"
"Sounds great", said Yancy. "We owe them to see them first."
"Yeah", said Joshua. "Let me know if your leg starts hurting."
He began to reposition himself to pick Yancy up before pausing, looking down at Yancy, and doing the gentlemanly (and embarrassing for Yancy) thing of tucking her skirt in a way to prevent her from flashing anyone (though it's not like any of them were looking clean and desirable in that way anyway) when being carried before stopping just short of lifting her up as Riley's shouting at a doctor got their attention. The two of them watched for a moment before Yancy wrapped her arms around Joshua's neck and he lifted her up. Clearly concerned for what had Riley so worried, Joshua walked over to where Riley and Meridia were standing.
Blissey sighed in relief as the boy didn't seem to be dying. Cheryl removed her hand from the boy's neck and addressed Riley.
"He seems to be okay", said Cheryl, "only unconscious. Still... I have a feeling..."
Riley nodded. "Alright." He walked over to Grant, knelt down, and focused on checking his aura when...
"...Oh no." He quickly turned to the other non-Nova-soldier strangers standing around. "Are you all doctors? Did any one of you treat this kid?!"
One doctor raised a hand higher than it already was and trudged over to where Riley was. "Th-that would be me."
"What's his condition?!" ordered Riley. Mira and Cheryl both knew that Riley yelling meant that this was a very serious matter.
"U-Um... When he came in, he had unconsciousness, wetness, numerous handprints across the cheek, severe damage to the groi--"
"Did you check his blood?" interrupted Riley. "Anything strange; anything at all?!"
"T-trace amounts of an unknown substance, sir! Furthermore, there were odd injuries around his arms and head. They looked like they were from needles."
Cheryl and Mira immediately realized exactly what had Riley so serious. He turned back to the front guards, who were now both speaking in radios.
"Get Gallowglass here to medical ASAP; through teleportation, stretcher, whatever!" ordered Riley. "Prepare a blood purification test immediately; tell them it's Gracidea!"
The soldiers nodded and began barking additional orders through their radios.
Rosa had a pained expression on her face as Hilbert asked what was wrong. The others hesitated briefly before a Cryogonal shut the carriage door and Kyurem growled.
"Doesn't matter!" yelled Kyurem at Hilbert. "Stay comfy and grab onto something or something... Never flown with passengers before."
Kyurem departed. The Giant Chasm soon became a speck in the distance as they took to the skies. Save for the sounds of the wind passing back, the occasional sound effect from Kyurem in response to something Cobalion instructed him telepathically, and the unintelligible chatter of the orbiting Cryogonal, the flight to Realgam Tower continued on in silence.
